Only Two Roads In This Life…

February 5, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Throughout the Holy Bible God reveals to us how we are to walk, how we are to serve, and how we are to act. He even teaches us everything that we need to watch out for in envy, jealousy, lust, greed, power, and even teaches us how to handle our hurts that often cause us to stumble. Not only does He teach us all of this He also teaches us the importance of staying humble no matter how high we may climb. There are many lessons throughout the Word of God that break down the characteristics of a human to teach us how to develop who we really are and to warn us of what to watch out for in the spiritual deception of Satan.

It is vital in this life to recognize that we are only here to determine which road that we will travel and to see how well we will serve. There are only two roads that lead us in our direction and one is of God and the other is of Satan! The way we walk in this life determines whom we follow and just because we get off track does not mean that we can’t turn our lives around to regain our direction. The Lord loves each one of us so much that He gave His only begotten Son to show us how to walk in this life and how to act in love by putting ourselves last instead of first. I challenge you today and every other day to help uplift others however you can and work for the eternal rewards instead of your immediate desires. The Lord can use us no matter where we are or what we might be going through when we learn to look for that divine appointment in everything we do…amen

A Divine Appointment…

February 4, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Did you know that everyday that we are given there is a test that is placed right before us? This test is given to see how well we will follow and how well we will serve. Test come in many different ways from the way we take care of ourselves, to the way we treat others, to the way we act in negative circumstances, to the way we conduct business, to the way we handle our temptations, to the way we handle our responsibilities, to the way we handle our pressures, to the way we handle our confrontations, and just simply to see how well we will serve.

This life is no joke! We are accountable to God for every action that we take! Every word that comes out of our mouth and every action that we make is being recorded by the Supreme Judge in Heaven above. In order to improve our walk and to grow stronger in faith we should look at every person we meet as a Divine appointment to hear what needs to be heard or to help those that are in need. We all face different types of tests and I challenge you today and every other day to look at everything as something that God has put before you to help insure your steps in the future…amen

Stay Focused & Never Give Up!!!

February 2, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In life it is very easy to speak when we know the answer and it is in our human nature to raise ourselves up to something that we might not be ready for. This is how Satan works because he wants us to jump before the time in our youth rather than waiting and trusting in God for His timing instead of our own. Have you ever made a decision and then realized you were not ready? Or, have you ever made a decision that failed but then as you walked on in life the Lord brought it back to you again?

Just because we might not succeed the first time, the second or the third does not mean that we are to ever give up!!!  It just means that we need to just learn how to trust God in His timing instead of our own and learn from our falls to one day climb again but much wiser and stronger than before.

I challenge you today and every other day to learn from your falls to see what you could have possibly been missing to insure your steps in the future. We all stumble at times when we get caught up in the climb and lose sight of the foundation from which we stand…amen

With God Dreams Can Come True…

December 5, 2009 by admin 1 Comment

Why is it when our young children come to us with life ambitions that we encourage them by telling them they can be anything they want to be but then as they mature we tend to stop encouraging them causing weak faith and low self esteem?

Think about it! As you have matured in life how many people have ever discouraged you or judged you by looking at what you wear, what you look like, your background, your age, or simply just telling you this can not be done? Is this not the complete opposite of what we are to teach our children when our daughter comes to us wanting to be that princess or our son comes to us wanting to be that astronaut? Is this not opposite of what our Christian faith teaches us about encouraging each other to be the best we can be under God?

Do you recall the lesson of Abraham and Sara with the birth of their son Isaac? The lesson was that our heartfelt dreams can be fulfilled at any age of our life when our faith is right with God! It is sad how so many people in our society have lost hope and forgotten their purpose in serving one another to reach higher levels in life. Instead we sit around debating the task at hand while discouraging someone who can possibly make a difference because we have lost sight of how to move forward with God leading the way.

Our society and many of our churches are holding our children back in the spirit of God because many have lost sight in the chain of life. In order to grow we are to help those less fortunate than us and encourage them to go further than ourselves while never forgetting the roots of our foundation in the Word of God through the love of Jesus Christ. What do you think Martin Luther King would say right now to those who told him to keep his mouth shut and that he would never make a difference? Looks like his dreams have now been fulfilled because of his belief in the dreams that he once carried.

Do not ever lose sight or give up on how God can  work in your life when you truly commit yourself to follow Him.  He has given each one of us a special talent to serve one another and when we learn to use our talents for God instead of serving ourselves we will discover our purpose in life to make a positive difference in our children’s future. I challenge you today and every other day to encourage someone and help them in life by learning to work together and not apart. Don’t disrespect God as Sara did and laugh at things that you may think are impossible because ALL things are possible with God and greater is He that is within us than he that is in this world…Amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
