Persecution Brings Expansion

October 17, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever noticed how persecution can bring expansion not only in the Word that travels but in our drive to reach the promises of God? Spiritually Satan works to oppress movements of God due to losing ground where so many are held captive. Think about it! Look at Martin Luther and the Theses that he left nailed to the door on the Catholic church and how this led to the Protestant Reformation. Look at how the lack of freedom of religion led to the formation of the United States of America. Look at Martin Luther King Jr. and how the persecution and unfair rights led to the equal rights movement. Look at recent movie Courageous and how the loss of a daughter brought about a better father.

Most of all look at what took place on the cross and how the persecution of Jesus has expanded the freedom and the spread of the Good News in the Word of God. The message in this is to recognize the passion and drive that God gives to those that believe and the differences that are made for the better of mankind. Since the beginning of time man has tried to hold back movements of God but as we can all now see nothing is impossible to those that truly believe.

I pray this morning that if you are feeling oppressed or held back to not give victory to Satan any longer and that you begin to break through what is simply wrong for what is right by God. God has given us Victory through Jesus Christ and His Word carries us forward. If you are living in despair I pray that you snap out of it! For the Word of God is powerful when we trust and obey. Don’t give Satan victory and think that you can’t make a difference when you can! Change first starts within us and then it spreads to our homes and then from there. Ask God to show you through prayer and seek Godly council for your confirmations to discover your purpose in life through Jesus Christ… Watch this movie trailer on Courageous may it inspire you to make a difference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9VT_NBIVfs

Poor Leadership Curses The People

April 16, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

It is evident in today’s time of the curses that take place due to leadership that does not follow God’s instruction. One of the most vital parts of a true leader is one that seeks God’s instruction and learns to apply it while being alert to the gifts of the next generation. When we fail to recognize the talents of others and neglect our responsibility as a leader to help someone else develop the gifts that God has given is when we are destined for stagnant growth and deterioration.

Throughout the Word of God He gives us the instruction of how to not only maintain our homes, our jobs, our churches, our communities, and our nation He also gives us the instruction to live with a purpose in life. We often lose sight of this purpose due to judgement, pressures or temptations from the world and this poor leadership leads to discipline back upon the people.

Why should we expect our children to have security if we are not following God’s instruction and adhering to His Word? How can we honestly expect the next generation to find direction if we are not teaching them who shows us the Way? Another sad part is how stagnant we have become in creativity due to our drift away from the Creator. The further we drift away from God the further we will fall and the harder it will be on the next generation.

This has been proven throughout history and until we learn how to recognize this truth then we are only neglecting the evidence that is right before us. The question that we should be asking is this,”Are we listening for God or are we listening to man?” Too many times we allow positions of leadership to be filled with individuals that are out of position due to seeking the desires of man instead of the ones with the heart for the position in properly serving the people.

Learning how to let go and simply trust in God can be an excruciating process but is very rewarding as we begin to see the hand of God at work. If we are not teaching our children how to trust in the Lord through our words and actions then how can we honestly expect them to do the same? In trusting the Lord it is vital that we teach our children how to recognize the God given gifts of others to help edify the Kingdom of God and maintain the liberty that we have been given. It is my prayer that we learn to put aside our differences and begin to recognize the gifts within God’s children to help carry us forward.

For when something is of God there is no weight, no burden nor struggle. The work is not looked upon as work with dread but with a zeal in working unto the Lord instead of man. For their is a joy that only comes from God that uplifts our relationships as we begin to have unity within the body to serve His purpose instead of our own…

Psalm 146:3 ‘Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help’.

The Heart Of A Child…

April 15, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever considered why children can see things more clearly than adults? As adults we allow judgement and our hearts to harden due to sin in our lives or for wrongs that have been done to us. We allow our own human intellect to enter the picture and this restricts the vessels due to the effort of thought without learning how to follow God’s instruction in letting it go.

See a child does not judge but they use their senses to discern between good and evil. Their hearts are open with their vessels full of life while simply recognizing the love that is being shown by the adults. As a child of God matures we are to keep our hearts open with understanding while learning to mature in the Word of God to discern between what is of God and what is not.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 18:3,”And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” The warning to us is this,”Always be open with understanding and without judgement. For if we allow our hearts to be hardened then we are restricting the life that is given through the true love of Jesus Christ.”

The Art Of War…

April 7, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

The art of war is not always about winning the battle but learning to win the war. See Jesus taught us this in His walk of life and He won the war by teaching us the art of selfless sacrifice. Jesus did not fall into the spiritual snares and traps of Satan either through the darts that were thrown at Him through the people’s words and actions nor through evil temptations. It is through the love of God that we discover the only antidote to the snake bites of this world.

This is why the Lord teaches us to put on the Full Armor of God to protect us from the snakes that try to hold us back. As God taught us with Moses in the wilderness a message that paralells the same message of Christ we are to focus upon the Lord and directly face the snakes that bite us. Until we learn to stand in belief and face the snakes without waver in the Truth through God’s love then our lives will be negatively affected.

The art of war is being as wise as a serpent but gentle as a dove while learning to walk in the enemy camp without allowing the enemy to change who we are. We can not recognize the enemy unless we know the enemy and this is a vital part of warfare.  Be wise in the Word of God to recognize that this is not our battle. For this war is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual principalities and powers that are way higher than us. For vengeance is the Lords…amen

For if we are not willing to go into battle how will you ever learn how to hear the snakes rattle?

The Bite Of A Serpent…

April 6, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

There is alot of wisdom that comes from God when we sincerley seek His Word and learn to listen. As we have discussed serpents and the enemy previously this week I pray that each reader of this message has the ears to hear and the eyes to see. For God teaches us through His Holy Spirit and He teaches us so much through His creation.

Here is a message on the bite of a serpent. Like any poisonous snake that injects its venom into our veins the words and actions of others are the same. See, if you are bitten by a rattlesnake you can not use the venom of a copperhead to heal the body. It takes the same exact venom from the same species of snake to counteract the poison that can destroy the body.

This message parallels the same message of sin. For if we do not address our sins as a bite of a snake and we try to cover them up without knowing the type of wound then we are setting our body up to be stunted or for decay. See the bite of the serpent works in two ways; 1) It affects the one doing the biting and 2) It affects the one that has been bitten.

The only way for the one that has been bitten to recover from the bite is through true forgiveness through the love of Jesus Christ. The object though is to recognize the snake before they strike. How do we recognize the bites of the serpent you might ask? This only comes through knowing the Word of God and the way react when bitten shows our maturity in Jesus Christ.

Too many times we try to cover up our sins with something that leaves the infection still deep within. Until we learn how to retract our bites through confession and repentance then our lives will be remain infected with a posionous venom. If this message has stirred something in your spirit and you recognize where you have bitten then I pray that you humble yourself to retract the venom from the one you bit. Or, if this message stirrs something in your spirit where you were once bitten then I pray that you will open your wound up for the healing of Jesus at the cross…Amen

For Jesus said,”Forgive them Father for they know not what they do“.
