God Can Use Our Pains…

January 2, 2010 by admin 5 Comments

In life it is very easy to harbor our hurts and cover up our pains on the outside but when we do this then we are only allowing Satan to rob us of the freedom that we can have through Jesus Christ. If we are not careful in our hurts sometimes our pains can turn into bitterness when we don’t properly understand the Word of God and this infection will often spread to others until we learn how to overcome our trials in life. Not only can our pains cause us to be bitter but they can also cause us to settle for something less when we can do even more. This is how Satan works in our lives by never wanting us to be who God set us out to be.

When we allow bitterness to grow in our lives without learning to forgive those that may have hurt us then we are allowing Satan to control our lives to the point that we often can’t see what God is trying to teach us. For in every life there is a lesson and until we learn how to search for the answers and do the work it takes to overcome our issues then we are only going to face the same cycle of events over and over.

It is imperative to know that bitterness is of Satan and God uses our hurts to develop us into who we are set out to be. Until we learn how to truly forgive and turn our issues over to the Lord then we are only carrying around a time bomb that can explode at any given moment. Sometimes in life we have to look at the pain to establish the root of the problem and if we avoid the pain then there is no gain.

When God reveals something to us we are to look within ourselves and apply it to our lives to help us take another step in life. But so many times we want to lash out at one another instead of praying for God to reveal the lesson to our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Lord plainly teaches us that vengeance is His and the righteous always rejoice when the truth wins out, but so many times we take matters into our own hands instead of trusting in God to work it all out.

I challenge you this week and every other week to turn your bitterness over to the Lord through the blood of Jesus and allow God to use your hurts to help others along the Way. Until we can openly talk about where we have been then how can we honestly even think about where we are going? Our hurts take time to overcome when we carry them for many years but when we learn to shake them from the point of beginning then they are less likely to set up the wrong roots that can rob us of the life that we can have through the love of Jesus Christ…amen

New Years Commitments…

January 1, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

If you were to look back at your goals for this past year what would you see? How would you rank yourself in your level of commitment to whatever you set out to achieve? It doesn’t matter our age or our circumstances in life when we are committed under God to make a positive difference and overcome where we have been. For if it is in the Lord’s will it will be done, but in His timing and not in ours. Every year that we are given we should be looking to improve and maintain something in our life to insure our children’s future.

For what good are our commitments if we are not willing to do what it takes to see them through?  It is imperative in life to never be robbed of what we know in our hearts and allow Satan to rob us of our dreams that God gives. Sometimes our goals take longer than expected and it is easy to get sidetracked by Satan when we don’t understand how to fully trust in God. Always know that it is not our place as a true Christian to ever give up or lose hope no matter what we have to go through in life. Sometimes we have to take a step back to one day take a step forward.

I challenge you this year to make a true commitment and set short term and long term goals that will not only improve something in your life but improve something in someone else’s. A commitment is only as good as our word, and if we are not willing to keep our word then how honorable is our commitment? It is time that we all become more committed for our children’s future here in America and put aside our differences to focus on the objectives to strengthen our future…amen

God Is Beside You…

December 31, 2009 by admin 1 Comment

Do you believe all things are possible by God? Do you believe that Jesus can heal you of all your hurt and pains? If Jesus was to appear right in front of you today and tell you that you have been healed and that you can do anything that you set your mind to if you only believe would trust in His Word? If so, then what makes you think that He is not standing right beside you at this time and telling you that it is time for you to do the work it takes to move forward in your life once again?

When we say that we believe but continue to be consumed with our issues in life or the what if’s then we need to ask ourselves, ” Who are we doubting?” Because when we know something is right by God and doubt how we are going to make it to the other side then we are only allowing Satan to rob us of the life we can have through Jesus Christ.

To overcome something or to achieve something we must learn to trust in God and allow Him to take care of the details while we just do the work that He places before us. I challenge you today and every other day to look beyond what you see and hear to receive your direction in life. We all have a purpose and God did not give us this life to be unhappy. He gave us this life not only to see the direction we would travel but also how we would help others that have lost their Way…amen

Stand Upright And Bloom…

December 29, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

“The grass withers, the flower fades. But the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah 40:8

If you were to look at your life today as a plant which plant would best describe who you are? Are you a flower that makes other people smile,  a cactus that people want to only observe from a distance, or are you the strong oak tree that others lean upon in a time of need?

In the body of Christ we are all living plants that are given life in the breath of God. We all have a unique purpose to spread the seeds of love in the Word of God to help nourish others along the Way. It is very easy to look upon the differences within the body but until we learn to focus on ourselves and strengthen our own roots then our lives will serve no purpose and can eventually fade away.

Don’t fall to thinking the cactus has no purpose because in a drought if the flower was to seek the cactus for advice the flower might learn how to survive to one day bloom again…amen

Living Free Under God…

December 28, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

James 4:17  “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

So many times in life we know what needs to be done but we allow Satan to hold us back because we don’t want have to face the immediate results instead of looking at the future outcome. When we hold back what we know in our hearts then we are only allowing Satan to dig a deeper well for us to climb out of. The object is learning to seek God for the timing to address and trusting in Him to bring it all together.

It is very easy to fall complacent and give in at times to something that we know is not right by God and still think that we will be excused. But what we need to asking ourselves  is this,” What if it is not?” A child of God knows when they are doing wrong by the conviction of the Holy Spirit and if we want God to bless our lives then we need to follow His Word and strive to do good in everything we do. i

There is nothing worse in this world than to live with a conviction of the Holy Spirit and try to hide our issues that we may carry. When we learn to humble ourselves and do what is right by God then there is a freedom in life that we will receive through Jesus Christ. I challenge you today and every other day to not live in a spiritual prison and allow Satan to rob you of the peace that you can have…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
