This Life Is A Journey…

January 23, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Life is a journey that can be compared to an explorer in a dark cave. When we are born this takes place in a cavern, and as we mature there comes a point that we must begin to walk in the darkness of this world. Sometimes our journey will bring laughter, and sometimes our journeys can bring pains. But all that really matters is that we continue to be faithful in our walk while always seeking the light of Jesus Christ in the darkness of this world to keep the enemy from driving us insane.

Sometimes in our journey we are able to walk and other times we might have to crawl. But all that really matters is that we always listen to hear  God’s call. There will be people that will try to misguide us and there will be others who simply just want to hold us back. But there comes a point that we must learn to follow God instead of man and then He will deliver us from this land.

There will be times in our journey when we may barely squeeze through and other times that we may even want to give up when we feel the load is too much to bear. This is where we must learn to never quit no matter how tight things may be because the Lord can lift the load and even set us free.

There will be times when we are trying to climb out of the darkness that we will need help because we all fall weak at times no matter how independent we may think we are. God put us here to help one another in this darkness to see how we would serve in helping others along the Way but so many times in our journey of the flesh we fall to a selfish mode of survival and become complacent to the point that we forget how to truly climb.

Many of us try to climb on our own at times when we don’t understand God’s purpose in having order and discipline within the body to reach higher levels in this life through the love of Jesus Christ. This is why it is vital to know God’s Word which is our foundation because if we don’t know where we stand then it is easy to fall.

There must be a time that we learn how to respect our differences and learn to work together rather than against one another. We are all here to help uplift each other whether we are on the top or even on the bottom. God allows us to go through different trials in our life to help others along the Way and to help keep our lives in Balance so we will never forget who we truly are. For no person is any different than the next under God and we all serve a vital purpose in God’s kingdom…amen

Don’t Ask Then Wonder…

January 22, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

So many times in life when we ask God for something we often fail to recognize what He puts before us. Throughout the Word of God the Lord teaches us to be alert to all things but far too often we miss things of God because He often shows up in places that we least expect.

It is in our nature to ask for immediate results and then overlook how God gives us just enough to get us through. If we were to receive everything that we asked for how would we know how to trust and appreciate what God has given? When we ask God to help us be alert for the parting of the seas but learn to appreciate the manna that supplies our needs.

It is how we learn to walk in life and serve with what we have been given that God will bless us with something more. I challenge you today and every other day to recognize what God has put right before you rather than wondering about something and possibly missing the blessing which you could receive…amen

Riddle For The Day…

January 20, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

It is so easy in life to become distracted in our relationships and in our jobs because we tend to focus on what we see rather than focusing on our daily objectives to help reach the overall goal.  Ever since I began to apply this word of truth to my daily walk it has been amazing to see what can take place when we look ahead instead of becoming stuck where we are. Here is something God placed on my heart as I was doing  my task…

Don’t think about it just do it!  When we think about it,  it is easy to dread it. But if we don’t know it, take a step back to learn it!  Then once we have learned it, step up and do it while striving to do better everyday that God provides.

When we stop to think about our situations when we already know what to do, after seeking God’s direction, then we often allow Satan to enter into our minds because he wants to detour us from what God has directed. It is when we quit trying to grow that our lives become stagnant and depressed. When we commit ourselves to follow God’s Word then He will provide what we need to succeed…amen

Don’t Hold Back…

January 19, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Genesis 22 God instructed Abraham to do what we all could not even imagine.  He tested his faith once again by telling him to take his son to a place and offer him to the Lord. Abraham did not sit around and contemplate the request nor did he sit around and debate the instruction. He rose early in the morning after receiving God’s Word and followed with no hesitation.

The Lord is showing us in this passage how vital it is to follow His will and not our own. For if we follow our desires instead of His instruction then it will not only cause us to struggle in life but it could even affect our homes. God has given us His Word to follow and we are to do this with no hesitation! There is no negotiating what He has given and if we try to hold back then honestly how can we ever expect to go forward?

I challenge you today to not hold back what He has placed on your heart! There is nothing worse than contemplating what God has given and allowing Satan to rob us of what we know in our hearts to be true! When we do this then we are not only allowing Satan to hold us back from the promises of the Lord but we are also not trusting in God to get us through…amen

If You Claim It Then Walk It…

January 18, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

When we live and work among ungodly people it is imperative to not allow our environment to shape who we are. It is our duty as a true Christian to share what God has given and allow His love that is shown through our actions to help shape the world that is around us. For how good is our witness when we blend in with the world but  we want to claim to stand for what is right?

This is where so many people have fallen because they feel it is okay to live one way in front of some but then act another way in front of others. And then there are those who have filled their barns and even built more because they don’t understand who gives and takes away. This is such a false witness!!! I’ll never forget someone in my family telling me that I should not drink or smoke because of what it brings upon us but at that same moment they had a cup in their hand with smoke on their breath. If God has blessed you then bless others! If someone is in need help them, as a Christian should do! I plead with you from my heart to be real in your witness for in the end we are all accountable for our actions and the last thing any caring individual should want is to know that they may have caused someone else to stumble.

Serving the Lord does not mean only our leaders in the church!!! It is every individuals responsibility to serve where they have been planted. Because when we learn how to commit ourselves in serving others then we are in turn serving God. He will not only give us the strength we need but He can also restore what has been broken. I challenge you today to make difference in the world which you live and be real in everything you do. There is great power in the name of Jesus when we allow Him to shine through…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
