Never Doubt God’s Promise…

January 13, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In our spiritual maturity it is imperative to recognize how God supplies us with our needs here on this earth to accomplish what He wants in our lives to serve His purpose and not our own. But so many times we lose sight of this and fall to what we see while chasing everything of this world instead of thinking about what God wants in our lives verses what we want for ourselves.

Our lives are to be an example to others and He will bless us for our obedience whether in this life or in the next. God’s promise still stands just as strong today as it did with Abraham many years ago. It is not for us to get caught up in what we don’t have but learn to appreciate what we do have. When God told Abraham that he was going to have a son and Sara laughed neither of them should have ever doubted God’s Word but accepted it in faith rather than taking matters into their own hands.

I challenge you today and every other day to not get caught up in what you don’t have but learn to content in what you do have. Then if it is in the Lord’s will that He blesses you in this life then just consider it a blessing from God for what He has given…amen

Deception Of The Devil…

January 12, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

So many times in life we make wrong decisions based on our emotions without properly thinking them through. Then we often allow Satan to cause us to be bitter, depressed, angry, unforgiving or just simply rude.

Throughout the Holy Bible the Lord tries to teach us to trust in Him but far too often when we fall to our flesh we make bad decisions that can not only bring pains for ourselves but they can also affect others. A good example of this is when God promised Abraham and Sara that they would have a son but they took matters into their own hands instead trusting in God to bring it all together. This bad decision brought strife into the family and gave undeserved hurt to a child that did not ask for what he received.

When we ask God for something it is imperative to recognize that Satan can hear it too. This is where we must learn to be wise and trust in God because if we are not careful what we see on the outside may not be what want on the inside. Satan is very clever and he wants us to lose our focus in life and this is where I challenge you look beyond what you see towards Jesus Christ in whom we believe…

Serve Others First…

January 11, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Genesis 13 Abraham taught us a true lesson in life that parallels the life of Jesus Christ. He and his nephew Lot were in a situation where the land could not support both of their families and their herds. Instead of allowing conflict to build between the families Abraham went to Lot and asked (him) to choose the land that he desired. Lot chose the one that appeared to be the better of the two and then moved on with no conflict within the family. But as time went on Lot soon realized that the land that appeared to be so rich was seriously infected.

Throughout the Word of God we are taught to place our desires behind others and when we don’t follow His Word then our life is nothing but a worthless fight. It is easy to see in our society today how many families are destroyed because they chase what appears to be better for themselves rather than sitting back as Abraham and trusting in God to work it all out. Lot faced a test in his decision to see how he would serve and like ourselves today we face the same test to see how we will follow.

Life is a test to see how we will obey and the next time you face a choice I challenge you to put yourself last instead of first. Because the Lord tells us in Luke 13,” Those that are last will be first, and those that are first will be last.” Once you begin this process in properly serving others you will find that God will bless your life through the love of Jesus Christ…amen

Satan In The Mind…

January 6, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

We have all heard the saying that an idol mind is the devils workshop but why is it that we often fall to Satan and allow him to rob us of what we know in our hearts to be true? Is it because we spend too much time focusing on someone else instead of learning to stay focused on ourselves? Or, is it that we don’t know how to trust in God and we try to hold things together on our own?

We all have spent wasted time on the what ifs with Satan when we allow him in our minds to cause doubts and fears of what might be ahead. Jesus taught us in the boat to have faith and not to worry about what we may see for all things are possible to those which believe. To mature in our faith we must learn that this life is not for our desires of the flesh but learn to appreciate what God gives while trusting in Him to bring it all together.

I challenge you today and every other day to analyze your thoughts that pop up in your mind before you act. By learning to recognize what we receive  in our thoughts will help us to insure the seed that we plant. For not all seeds need to be planted and if we are not careful when we act before we think then the next thing we know is that seed could sprout into a weed and cause us not to succeed. Analyze your thoughts to insure your steps and learn to seek God for the direction to always show Jesus in your reflection…amen

God Can Use Our Pains…

January 2, 2010 by admin 5 Comments

In life it is very easy to harbor our hurts and cover up our pains on the outside but when we do this then we are only allowing Satan to rob us of the freedom that we can have through Jesus Christ. If we are not careful in our hurts sometimes our pains can turn into bitterness when we don’t properly understand the Word of God and this infection will often spread to others until we learn how to overcome our trials in life. Not only can our pains cause us to be bitter but they can also cause us to settle for something less when we can do even more. This is how Satan works in our lives by never wanting us to be who God set us out to be.

When we allow bitterness to grow in our lives without learning to forgive those that may have hurt us then we are allowing Satan to control our lives to the point that we often can’t see what God is trying to teach us. For in every life there is a lesson and until we learn how to search for the answers and do the work it takes to overcome our issues then we are only going to face the same cycle of events over and over.

It is imperative to know that bitterness is of Satan and God uses our hurts to develop us into who we are set out to be. Until we learn how to truly forgive and turn our issues over to the Lord then we are only carrying around a time bomb that can explode at any given moment. Sometimes in life we have to look at the pain to establish the root of the problem and if we avoid the pain then there is no gain.

When God reveals something to us we are to look within ourselves and apply it to our lives to help us take another step in life. But so many times we want to lash out at one another instead of praying for God to reveal the lesson to our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Lord plainly teaches us that vengeance is His and the righteous always rejoice when the truth wins out, but so many times we take matters into our own hands instead of trusting in God to work it all out.

I challenge you this week and every other week to turn your bitterness over to the Lord through the blood of Jesus and allow God to use your hurts to help others along the Way. Until we can openly talk about where we have been then how can we honestly even think about where we are going? Our hurts take time to overcome when we carry them for many years but when we learn to shake them from the point of beginning then they are less likely to set up the wrong roots that can rob us of the life that we can have through the love of Jesus Christ…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
