We have all heard the saying that an idol mind is the devils workshop but why is it that we often fall to Satan and allow him to rob us of what we know in our hearts to be true? Is it because we spend too much time focusing on someone else instead of learning to stay focused on ourselves? Or, is it that we don’t know how to trust in God and we try to hold things together on our own?
We all have spent wasted time on the what ifs with Satan when we allow him in our minds to cause doubts and fears of what might be ahead. Jesus taught us in the boat to have faith and not to worry about what we may see for all things are possible to those which believe. To mature in our faith we must learn that this life is not for our desires of the flesh but learn to appreciate what God gives while trusting in Him to bring it all together.
I challenge you today and every other day to analyze your thoughts that pop up in your mind before you act. By learning to recognize what we receive in our thoughts will help us to insure the seed that we plant. For not all seeds need to be planted and if we are not careful when we act before we think then the next thing we know is that seed could sprout into a weed and cause us not to succeed. Analyze your thoughts to insure your steps and learn to seek God for the direction to always show Jesus in your reflection…amen
