Step Up To The Plate…

March 29, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever considered how we would rather avoid the consequences of our sins than to experience the forgiveness? Think about it! Does it not hurt to admit when we have been wrong? There comes a point in every individuals life that we must step up to the plate and take responsibility before it is too late. The longer we avoid this message of truth in not taking responsibility for our sins then don’t be surprised when the licks get harder.

For every day that we avoid the truth is another day that allows us to be Satans prey. Can you recall a time when you faced your sin and the healing came from within? There comes a point in every individuals life that we must recognize our wrongs so God can make them right….

The Spiritual Man Verses The Physical Man

February 3, 2011 by admin 2 Comments

In Genesis 41 we can learn another valuable lesson among many in how God will often give us something else to do in the Kingdom of God once we learn the lesson or lessons that need to be learned. In the physical eyes as we read why Joseph was thrown into prison we would think in our carnal minds of  how he was innocent. But lets look at this through our spiritual eyes to see how he could have been guilty of inmaturity and how the Lord developed his senses for his future position.

Do you think when Joseph was in that prison that he may have reflected back on his entire life and recognized the importance of timing in sharing his dreams with his family? Do you think that maybe Joseph looked back and seen where he could have separated earlier from Potiphar’s wife when she was beginning to tempt him? Do you think that Joseph would have learned a valuable lesson in the importance of remembering someone that helps us verses forgetting them once we have moved on? Hmmm…What was the lesson with Jesus and the 10 lepers in Luke 17 with only one remembering Him that parallels this same message with Joseph?

Now, here is the spiritual lesson that is going to take some of you with the eyes to see and the ears to hear to a new light through the love of Jesus Christ. There was a reason that Joseph went to prison in order to learn further the wisdom of God and to develop his senses between good and evil. Yes, Joseph was innocent and a good man of God but the Lord was directing his steps in preparation for his season in the future.

Within these lessons can you discover anything that might help you develop your spiritual being further in the Word of God? When is the last time you spent that quiet time with the Lord and studied His Word without being distracted by the world? Do you find yourself developing your senses between good and evil or have you grown immune in this dark world and forgotten how real God is?

God is still the same today as He was yesterday and He often speaks to us is ways that we miss, simply because we don’t take the time to listen. I challenge you in the love of Christ to seek God and allow Him to show you who you really are. For we never know who we are until we learn develop a relationship with God in Christ….Amen

Don’t Miss The Lesson Of God

February 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Genesis 41 we learn a valuable lesson that applies to us today through the life of Joseph and the job that he received from Pharaoh. After years of being cast out by his own family and lied upon which placed him in prison Joseph was recognized for the favor of God that was upon his life. No matter where he went or what he had to go through the Lord always helped him to improve something for someone else because he was not thinking about himself and drowning in his own sorrows.

How easy is it for us to allow Satan to spiritually rob us of our joy when heartaches or troubles come our way? How many people do you know that seem to be drowning in their sorrow instead of seeking God to show them the way out? Have you ever been in a season within your life which you felt would never end? Here is the what the Lord has placed within my spirit this morning to share with you,”In every season there is a reason to deepen our roots with God and a purpose to help others in where we are. For if we only think about ourselves then we are only allowing Satan to spiritually rob us of who we are as a child of God.”

I leave you this morning with this question upon your heart,”Are you praising God in your circumstances or are you missing the whole point of your lesson?”

Walk The Walk Or Be Left Behind

February 1, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Genesis 37 the Word of God teaches us a valuable lesson in jealously and how a splinter can eventually cause a division within the family of God. Through the  life of Joseph and his brothers we can learn the importance of timing in when to share something has been given by God and a lesson on how favortism can lead to unproductive areas of life.

As Joseph was growing up, his father Jacob gave him more attention than his brothers due to the spirit of God that connected the two. This connection that was not understood within the family eventually developed into an evil plot to work against Joseph rather than recognizing how to properly serve within the body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit, which is our teacher, can open our eyes within Genesis 37 to see many different lessons that can help us today. Think about the wisdom of timing and how others might react before you share something that they might not understand. How about the lesson of favoritism that can take place in our homes, in our work and unfortunately even in the church? What is it the Lord teaches us about the dangers of showing partiality or giving favoritism in the Word of God?

Can you see how a child can be hurt if they miss the love of God within the family while witnessing it being shown to others? Can you see how a faithful employee can become bitter when they are neglected within their jobs? Have you ever wondered how many children that have a gift from God like Joseph have given up simply due to the way they were treated in this dark world?

I am here to tell you this morning that if you call yourself a true Christian then God expects His unconditional love within the family and with the enemy. From my heart to yours as one that was once cast out don’t allow Satan to spiritually cause you to lose your balance and forget the line of Christ that we are to follow. If you talk the talk then God expects us to walk the walk!!!

Are There Barriers In Your Life

July 31, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

It is very easy to see the physical differences in people and allow these differences to cause a division within the overall body that create a barrier for us to overcome. These divisions that can come between us not only rob us of the blessings of God but they also open the door to Satan to spiritually misguide us into forgetting how we are to work together as One in the body while respecting each part for the roll that we all carry.

To help us break these barriers between one another it is vital that we recognize that there are only two types of people in this world. We are either a child of God that serves the Kingdom or we are a child of Satan that seeks the world. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us how to live in the world but not of the world while instructing us to love the enemy in hopes that the enemy would recognize how God’s love is for all people.

As a child of God in this world it is very critical that we teach our children how to avoid these divisions in the body of Christ by teaching them how Satan wants us to be robbed of who we are. The day that we are given life as a child of God it is important to recognize how Satan has been already at work in the family to destroy the foundation of the home that is needed to raise our children. As God’s children mature they are in constant attack spiritually to be robbed of who they are to limit the amount of work that they can do in helping others along the Way.

A good example of this is how men prey on women to satisfy a selfish desire that is being triggered in an emotion. The spiritual deception that works in our sexual desires is a very dangerous emotion to recognize because Satan works strongly in these desires because he knows how they can rob someone of who they are and how they can cause us to feel like something that we are not. Our emotions are critical to recognize in how they can misguide us and cause us to do something that we would later regret. This happens in all aspects of life from buying something that we do not need, from saying something that we should not say, doing something that we should not do, and even quitting on something because we feel that we can do no more.

When we allow our emotions to guide our lives it is very easy to become suppressed and lose the direction which God provides. This world is full of pressures that come from every corner and when we do not teach our children how to handle their pressures in the Word of God through the self discipline that is required to maintain what we have been given then we are only setting our children up for a hard road in the future.

Teaching does not only come in books but in the example of how we live our lives in this world. When God gives us the gift of our children it is our responsibility to not only provide for them but to teach them in our words and actions how to rise above the hardships that we encounter from time to time to eliminate any divisions that can cause a separation within the body. When we begin to look at every human being as a creation of God then this helps us to look past what we physically see and this displays to others in whom we believe.

I challenge every reader that reads this message to take a step forward in faith to break down the barriers which may be holding you back. Often all it takes is for one to make that first step in love to overcome where we have been and then to help others along the Way. Sometimes that first step that we take in humbling our self is all that is needed to set others free…amen

“But even more blessed are all who hear the Word of God and put it into practice.” Luke 11
