Let Your Love Flow

March 9, 2010 by admin 2 Comments

Love is like water in a pond and if we are not careful to keep our water flowing then we could allow our pond to become stagnant. There are two parts in life that we must recognize to keep our love in balance and one is our input as well as the other is our output. For one without the other allows our ponds to become cloudy and even to the point that we could miss some vital nutrients which is given in needed time.

If you ever study a pond compare it to yourself to insure the natural springs which feed you internally and double check yourself to insure that your love is flowing to someone else. Because the last thing that any loving individual should want is for their life to become cloudy to the point that they can not see and to become stagnant to the point that others might fail to believe…amen

New Years Commitments…

January 1, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

If you were to look back at your goals for this past year what would you see? How would you rank yourself in your level of commitment to whatever you set out to achieve? It doesn’t matter our age or our circumstances in life when we are committed under God to make a positive difference and overcome where we have been. For if it is in the Lord’s will it will be done, but in His timing and not in ours. Every year that we are given we should be looking to improve and maintain something in our life to insure our children’s future.

For what good are our commitments if we are not willing to do what it takes to see them through?  It is imperative in life to never be robbed of what we know in our hearts and allow Satan to rob us of our dreams that God gives. Sometimes our goals take longer than expected and it is easy to get sidetracked by Satan when we don’t understand how to fully trust in God. Always know that it is not our place as a true Christian to ever give up or lose hope no matter what we have to go through in life. Sometimes we have to take a step back to one day take a step forward.

I challenge you this year to make a true commitment and set short term and long term goals that will not only improve something in your life but improve something in someone else’s. A commitment is only as good as our word, and if we are not willing to keep our word then how honorable is our commitment? It is time that we all become more committed for our children’s future here in America and put aside our differences to focus on the objectives to strengthen our future…amen

Who’s Your Personal Trainer?

December 16, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Are you in shape both physically and spiritually? In our society there is alot of emphasis placed on the physical fitness, but spiritual health is even more important. Our physical health is susceptible to disease and injury but faith can sustain us through any tragedy or circumstance that we may face.

To train ourselves to be holy, we must develop our faith by using our God given abilities in serving one another to develop our spiritual muscles as Jesus taught us in the Holy Bible. It is very easy to become lazy and think that we have reached our potential in life but when we seek to please God in everything we do it is truly amazing at the levels that can be reached.

So, I ask you this morning,” Do you have a personal trainer named Jesus and when you look in the mirror what do you see?” All it takes is that first step to get yourself in shape and you will find that every other step will become easier to follow…amen

Our Diet Affects Our Health & Relationships

May 30, 2009 by admin 2 Comments

In the book of Daniel we are taught a major lesson on the foods we consume and how they can affect our relationship with God. Our society as a whole has fallen into over consumption and eating unhealthy foods that have affected us physically which in turn hurts us spiritually. It is easy to eat and then diet but real discipline which comes from God is learning to balance your diet in a healthy manner that will give you positive results mentally, physically and best of all spiritually.

Temptations come from all directions and until we recognize how to control ourselves in our diet and in our actions then we face a continuous cycle of ups and downs.  By learning to fast and do without at times shows discipline and sacrifice in seeking not what we want but by learning what God wants in our attention that will help us to grow strong physically and spiritually. In the New Testament Jesus taught us a very wise lesson in what we consume. He taught us this, “It is not what we take in but what we retain and what comes out.”   If we would apply this wisdom to our diet and to everything else in life could you only begin to imagine how much healthier our world and our relationships would be?

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
