Be Who You Are

April 26, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy in life when we do not know who we are under God to try and fit in with what we see. Everywhere we look we can see people copying people, businesses copying businesses, churches copying churches, and someone else telling us what we need to be doing instead of just learning to develop our own mission in life. With God in our lives there is a distinct purpose that makes us who we are and His love will always show us the way.

God has something special for each one of us and until we begin to look to Him for our direction we will never discover who we are or even know where we may be going…amen

Are You An Original Or A Copy?

April 24, 2010 by admin 3 Comments

Many people spend too much time trying to be like someone else instead of learning to be who they are under God. The world teaches us that if we don’t attend the right schools, the right church, wear the right name brand clothing, become a member of specific clubs, drive the right cars, eat certain types of foods, live in specific neighborhoods, use certain banks, have the right set of golf clubs, shop in the right stores, carry the right colored credit cards, have the right physical figure, and even sadly that if our skin is not the right color then the world automatically places us in different brackets of life. Not only does the world separate the people in physical manners but the world even teaches us to separate ourselves from the sinners.

In simple terms who is it that separates or divides the people? Who is it that wants us to think that we have to keep up or we will be left behind? Who is it that misguides our thoughts into thinking that we are better than someone else when we are all equal under God? It is surely not God because He sent His only begotten Son here to unite the people in unconditional love through humility and not arrogance. The author of division is Satan that spiritually guides us in our thoughts that leads us to a division in the body without recognizing  what is taking place. These misguided spiritual thoughts of Satan often cause us to focus on ourselves instead of truly caring for the well being of the people.

The sad part of this division which Satan causes in the body is how our vision becomes restricted when we fall into our own little clicks and we tend to overlook what someone else may have to offer in the overall picture of God. People add color to our lives when we learn to listen for what God has delivered them through and they help give us strength in our times of need because we never know what we may have face tomorrow.

The dangerous part of when we try to fit in with the world is when we don’t know how to handle rejection under God because this is where Satan often causes us to live in a form of spiritual suppression. When we don’t know who we are under God and we don’t know how to stand on our own in the love of Jesus Christ in this fallen world then we are only setting ourselves up for a fall in rejection. The spiritual suppression of Satan that is caused in rejection will not only affect us directly but it can also affect others indirectly because the person that has been suppressed by Satan will often suppress others because they did not know how to handle their own rejection.

Often you will find when someone does not know who they are under God that they will be without peace and understanding. When we don’t understand where rejection comes from or understand the discipline that is required in love to reach new levels in life then we are vulnerable to in the deception of Satan that can cause us to be bitter, have envy, become depressed, carry hurts, build anger, covet and even try to run rather than face the Truth.

With God in our lives there is direction, discipline, purpose, creativeness, and most importantly love without separation in the people. Why do you think that Israel and The United States of America have always been the leaders in innovation and others nations wanted what we had to offer? When we have God in front through the love of Jesus Christ you will find that others will either try to attain what we have received or they will try to take it away. What God gives no man can take away because it is what is in us that makes us who we are!!!

There is nothing wrong with having something that God has provided, but we must understand that what we have on the outside does not determine who we are on the inside. It is very easy to spend wasted time trying to find ourselves in the world because of what we can physically see but until we learn to truly discover who we are under God through the love of Jesus Christ we will never be set spiritually free.

God wants us to learn who we are because each one of us add something special in His picture of life. He does not want us to (feel) that we have to have something to fit in because He wants each of us to know who we are through the blood of Jesus Christ. With God we are somebody that is loved and gives love in return without separation in the body of Christ. Until we learn to look to God for the answers we will never find the answers that we truly need to succeed in this life and make it to the next.

I challenge you to learn to be who you are under God and not to ever (feel) that you have to fit in. Life is about being REAL and learning to make the most out of where we are without allowing Satan to rob us of the joy that we carry on the inside. All things are possible through the love of Christ and nothing is too hard for the Lord when we learn to seek Him for the direction that we need for our children’s future…amen

There is a distinct difference in something that is original than something that has been copied by someone else…Be who you are and allow God to set you free!!!

The Youths Anger Divided The People

April 17, 2010 by admin 2 Comments

In 1 Kings 12 of the Holy Bible we learn a valuable lesson of the anger that dwelled in the youth towards the older generation because they did not know how to deal with it in love. This anger caused a division in the body that eventually separated the people. When King Rehoboam asked for advice from the older generation that once  advised his father he rejected their wisdom because it was not what he wanted to hear and he wanted to prove himself. So, he called in some youth that he had grown up with to seek their advice and as expected their anger gave no mercy to the people because they wanted to prove themselves.

Why did the youth lash out towards the people? Why did they not want to give mercy instead of making matters worse ? Why were they carrying so much anger instead of learning from the past to help correct something in the future? Doesn’t the Lord show us here how the youth must have been carrying some anger towards those that were once in control? Do you think possibly that the youth might have felt suppressed as they matured because the elders were so stuck in their ways?  Can you see the importance of adding value to someone else’s life as they mature rather than only caring about our own?

When a child receives freedom it is very important for them to understand the Word of God and to know how to mature in love rather than allowing their emotions to misguide their actions. Children that live under rules without love are more subject to break them because they do not understand them and when the older generation neglects how to develop the younger generation then we are only setting ourselves up for a possible division in the family of God.

The Word of God teaches us to listen and to always be alert for the wisdom that God provides because there is something to be gained in every age of life.  It is easy to become blinded when we get so wrapped up in building our own mission that we often forget how to add value to someone else’s.  When this takes place usually the very ones that miss out are the ones that are right at our feet because we become so busy with the world that we forget how to take care of our homes. God gives us children to carry on what He has given and God raises up men and women to carry on the direction that we are to serve.

When we don’t include those that God has placed around us whether in our homes, in our careers, in our churches or even in our nation then we are only setting ourselves up for a future division to come. This lesson is a very important message on how to develop the youth without causing rebellion and it teaches us the importance adding value to someone else’s life  so they will in turn do the same in the future. We go from one extreme to the other in this message between the youth and the older generation because the youth failed to understand the principles in the foundation while the elders failed to properly develop their future generations.

One of the most important parts of maturity is our understanding in the Word of God and then teaching the importance of having self discipline in love to maintain our future…amen

True Giving Comes With A Price

April 16, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 24 of the Holy Bible we learn another great lesson in life through King David giving an offering to the Lord. He refused to give something that did not cost him something because he knew that true giving always comes with a price. This same message was confirmed with God later in the Holy Bible when He sent His only begotten Son to give His life for the sake of ours.

Think about it! If we only give something that does not cost us something then how shallow is this giving? It is easy to give what has been given but when we don’t recognize the price that has been paid for the gift that we have received then what appreciation would we have when we say that we truly believe?

Nothing in life is ever truly gained without some sort of sacrifice and this is what the Lord taught us over and over throughout the Holy Bible. For instance, an athlete who wants to excel must sacrifice not only his time and be dedicated to his goals but he/she must even have the self discipline in their diet to help them reach the levels that they may pursue. Another example, in business we have to put in the work before we can expect to have some rewards and this often follows a sacrifice with dedication to one day enjoy the fruit of the labor. Another great example is in our marriage and what it takes to have a successful relationship by learning to sacrifice ourselves for the sake of our spouse. This same practice of sacrifice applies to our relationship with God through the love of Jesus Christ. For if we are not willing to give then honestly why should we expect to receive?

I challenge you today to sacrifice something of yourself without holding back. Not all blessings are seen, acknowledged, or recognized but they are what we know in our hearts to be true because what matters to God is that we do our part…amen

Our Actions Speak More Than Words

April 15, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 19 of the Holy Bible we learn a valuable lesson on how our actions speak more than our words. In this lifes’ lesson King Davids’ men felt rejected after laying down their lives for him and he showed no gratitude in his grief because he was too caught up in his own agenda. Although we might not encounter things quite to this level with King David and his men but we all encounter rejection at times in love when someone we serve does not even acknowledge the service that has been provided.

Have you ever spent alot time preparing something for someone else in love but the other person not even appreciate what was given? What about helping someone build something and once it was complete they took the credit to only leave you behind? Or, have you ever stood up for what is right and then those that you thought were with you only coward down because they were too scared of being taken down?

We all face rejection from time to time and rather than becoming bitter or upset it is wise to trust God for the end results. Satan likes to spiritually hold us down in our rejections because he knows how easily we can be held back.  I challenge you today to walk on in love and to never feel rejected. The Lord wants each one of us to learn from our experiences to help us encourage others in the future…amen

There is no rejection in love but only discipline to understand how to move forward without being held back…
