In 2 Samuel 19 of the Holy Bible we learn a valuable lesson on how our actions speak more than our words. In this lifes’ lesson King Davids’ men felt rejected after laying down their lives for him and he showed no gratitude in his grief because he was too caught up in his own agenda. Although we might not encounter things quite to this level with King David and his men but we all encounter rejection at times in love when someone we serve does not even acknowledge the service that has been provided.
Have you ever spent alot time preparing something for someone else in love but the other person not even appreciate what was given? What about helping someone build something and once it was complete they took the credit to only leave you behind? Or, have you ever stood up for what is right and then those that you thought were with you only coward down because they were too scared of being taken down?
We all face rejection from time to time and rather than becoming bitter or upset it is wise to trust God for the end results. Satan likes to spiritually hold us down in our rejections because he knows how easily we can be held back. I challenge you today to walk on in love and to never feel rejected. The Lord wants each one of us to learn from our experiences to help us encourage others in the future…amen
There is no rejection in love but only discipline to understand how to move forward without being held back…
