The Persistence Of God That Changes The World!!!

February 13, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Throughout the Holy Bible we learn how to recognize the drive of God in the persistence of men and women who made a difference for the good of the people even when they faced all odds. It did not matter what they faced or whether they stood all alone because they knew the drive and direction that was given by God that strengthened their faith to serve the people.

Noah did not quit his task when the people mocked him for building a boat when they had never experienced rain. Abraham did not disobey God when the Lord gave him instructions nor did he give up on pleading with God to spare the righteous in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah before it was destroyed. Joseph did not give up just because others gave up on him or because of his circumstances in life. Moses never asked for his job nor did he even think that he was qualified. Ruth remained strong in character and true to God even when the society around her was collapsing. Samuel did not go back to sleep when Eli told him to just lay back down! David was the least of all his brothers but had the heart of a lion when someone spoke against our living God. Esther risked her life for the life of others when she went against the traditions that were followed by the people. Job did not give in to Satan when he suffered so greatly even when those around him made false accusations. Daniel never gave in to man for what he knew was right in his heart by God! Nehemiah did not give in just because the task was so large and the people that he had to face!

John The Baptist did not detour from God’s calling because the way people looked at him for how he appeared on the outside because he knew who was directing him on the inside! Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour did not detour from God’s message when He taught us how to love and forgive those which do not understand God’s eternal plan in this fallen land. The four men that believed in the Lord did not let their friend fade away just because they had to carry him and lower him through the roof to be healed! Nor did Paul allow his previous life to detour him from the message that he was to deliver when he saw the light in Jesus Christ!

Martin Luther did not give in to the Pope nor to the Roman Catholics when he took a stand in 1517 strongly disputing the church and following God. Our American ancestors did not allow Britain to rob them of their freedom in religion nor did they allow their fears to stop them from moving across the seas in the 1700’s. Benjamin Franklin did not allow his age to stop him at 70 years old when he wanted to help his country win the American Revolution. James Armistead, a brave African American, did not subdue because of his color! Thomas Jefferson did not stand for someone to think that they were above another when he helped write the Declaration of Independence!  Benjamin Banneker, an African American, did not allow his fears to stop him from writing our leaders about ending slavery here in America. Martin Luther King, Jr. did not give in when he saw something that was not right! Nor did Billy Graham waver from his commitment in serving God.

Throughout history many men and women have persevered and overcome tough situations because they put their trust in God rather than allowing the world to hold them back. No matter who we are or where we have been it is vital to recognize how God is the one who picks us up and lays us down to serve His purpose and not our own! The Lord gives us our inner confidence and drive that will not sway in this world until our job is done and it our place to do the best we can in everyday that we have been given. By living our lives as an example under Christ it teaches our children to never lose hope no matter what they have to face. Because with God “All Things Are Possible” even when the world seems to be falling apart!

It is in the persistance of men and women that never give up when we can see God at work that will make a positive difference for our children’s future! I challenge you today and every other day to strengthen yourself in the Lord and allow the love of Jesus to shine in your life like never before! It is when we know that Greater Is He that Is In Us Than He That Is In This World that we will find strength to overcome  our obstacles in life! Never lose Hope no matter what you face or for what you have been through because it is when we let go of ourselves that God will take over and carry us to new levels in the Lord’ s mercy and grace!!!

Trusting In God’s Timing…

October 30, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Proverbs 15:23 Soloman wrote,”A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season, how good it is!”

It is very easy in life to speak before the time but very wise when we learn the purpose of timing within the season.

So many times in life we move in following the flesh instead of waiting on God to open the door. This happens when we don’t properly understand who is really in control or when we get anxious in our youth to move before the season.

Something rushed will always fall and something built on time is when we learn to trust in God in hearing His call.

I challenge you today and every other day to trust in God and to just do your part. For when the Lord brings things together it will be in His timing and not in ours…amen

How To Move In Life

October 9, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Exodus 40 we were taught a beautiful lesson from God in when to move and when to sit still. This lesson is taught in the Glory of God within the cloud that filled the tabernacle with Moses and the people of Israel.  This same lesson is taught over and over through the generations because we fail to stop and listen.

How often in our steps of life do we move without following looking to God for our direction before we step? He guides us when we stop and listen but often we get so wrapped up in life that we listen to everything else instead of the One who brings it all together. Every action we make is accountable and serves only one of two ways. If we serve self then we serve Satan and if we serve others then we serve God.

It is so easy to fall to self and forget how our actions affect others and this is exactly what Satan wants in our lives in losing touch with the people. I challenge you today and every other day to seek God first before you move and examine your steps to insure the path you are on…Amen

Why The Church Has Declined…

October 3, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Our denominations are in decline for several reasons and one of the main reasons is because of the rules that has been placed by man that is limiting the doctrine in the Word of God. Another main reason for the decline is because many of the elders have forgotten how to uplift the next generation by recognizing the talents that God has given to each of them for wanting to hold on to their own position in front of the people.

Many have fallen as the Pharisees in following their own doctrine while forgetting  that every humbled sinner is welcome in the Kingdom of God through the love of Jesus Christ. We don’t have to have doctrine degrees or attend certain schools to speak the Word of God or to perform the natural gifts that the Lord provides. The Lord is our teacher and He is the one that chooses our leaders and He is the one gives us our gifts to properly serve the people. So many times in life we hang on to something because we don’t know how to let it go and uplift the next generation in helping them to develop their talets as they mature in life.

Over time we have come to a point in thinking that we have to be a member of some group or attend a certain school to share the Word of God and I am here to tell you no one or no school can compare to being taught by the Father in Heaven above! We all receive natural gifts and these talents are given by God. Have you ever seen the difference between the artist that was born with a talent verses the one that went to school to learn their talent? There is a distinct difference in someone working within their gift and one that is not.

So many people choose a field to work within because they are guided by someone else besides the Lord. Sometimes we carry on something because it is our family tradition while there are even those that just choose a field to work within because they don’t know where else to turn. There is a previous post written on the old church to the new contemporary worship service that explains where we are today within the church and if we do not Wake Up and start looking for those children that have received natural gifts from God then our picture in life is going to continue to fade away. We must learn to work together and not work against one another…

There is life within the picture of Jesus Christ that will radiate to others when we drop our walls and learn to look to God instead of man….

Selfish Bribes In America

October 2, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

At what point is it that our government will stop selling their souls to the devil and do what is right for the people? Never before has there been so much selfish desires in America. This country was built on a Christian foundation of serving the people and not seeing what we can take from the people!

When is enough, enough? I am a humbled father of two wonderful children that is deeply concerned for the future generations due to the lack of true leadership in our country. There must come a point in life when we see how our lives and our decisions are having negative impacts that we say,” Wait a minute I can’t do this anymore, for what I am doing is going to hurt the people and it is time to clean up our act and start properly serving the people.”

Many people have fallen to following the crowd and the temporary dollar verses standing on what is right by God and properly serving the people. It is my sincere prayer that every individual learns to work for God rather than for themselves, and we stand again with direction and unity to help clean up this corrupt nation…amen
