True Giving Comes With A Price

April 16, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 24 of the Holy Bible we learn another great lesson in life through King David giving an offering to the Lord. He refused to give something that did not cost him something because he knew that true giving always comes with a price. This same message was confirmed with God later in the Holy Bible when He sent His only begotten Son to give His life for the sake of ours.

Think about it! If we only give something that does not cost us something then how shallow is this giving? It is easy to give what has been given but when we don’t recognize the price that has been paid for the gift that we have received then what appreciation would we have when we say that we truly believe?

Nothing in life is ever truly gained without some sort of sacrifice and this is what the Lord taught us over and over throughout the Holy Bible. For instance, an athlete who wants to excel must sacrifice not only his time and be dedicated to his goals but he/she must even have the self discipline in their diet to help them reach the levels that they may pursue. Another example, in business we have to put in the work before we can expect to have some rewards and this often follows a sacrifice with dedication to one day enjoy the fruit of the labor. Another great example is in our marriage and what it takes to have a successful relationship by learning to sacrifice ourselves for the sake of our spouse. This same practice of sacrifice applies to our relationship with God through the love of Jesus Christ. For if we are not willing to give then honestly why should we expect to receive?

I challenge you today to sacrifice something of yourself without holding back. Not all blessings are seen, acknowledged, or recognized but they are what we know in our hearts to be true because what matters to God is that we do our part…amen

Our Actions Speak More Than Words

April 15, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 19 of the Holy Bible we learn a valuable lesson on how our actions speak more than our words. In this lifes’ lesson King Davids’ men felt rejected after laying down their lives for him and he showed no gratitude in his grief because he was too caught up in his own agenda. Although we might not encounter things quite to this level with King David and his men but we all encounter rejection at times in love when someone we serve does not even acknowledge the service that has been provided.

Have you ever spent alot time preparing something for someone else in love but the other person not even appreciate what was given? What about helping someone build something and once it was complete they took the credit to only leave you behind? Or, have you ever stood up for what is right and then those that you thought were with you only coward down because they were too scared of being taken down?

We all face rejection from time to time and rather than becoming bitter or upset it is wise to trust God for the end results. Satan likes to spiritually hold us down in our rejections because he knows how easily we can be held back.  I challenge you today to walk on in love and to never feel rejected. The Lord wants each one of us to learn from our experiences to help us encourage others in the future…amen

There is no rejection in love but only discipline to understand how to move forward without being held back…

We Grow When We Learn To Listen

April 14, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 17 of the Holy Bible there was a man that got so hung up on his ideas that he forgot how to listen to someone elses. He went on to feel rejection and eventually separated himself from the job that he had because he no longer felt he could contribute to the cause. We all face these types of situations from our work, our homes and even in the church but rather than getting upset about something we should listen for the wisdom of God to insure that we are not making selfish decisions or acting in our emotions without the Lord taking us forward.

Everything good comes from God and often He challenges us in our objectives through other individuals with better ideas to help us go the extra mile in thinking further than we did before. If we are not challenged to improve within our own self then how boring could our life become? God wants us to be the best we can be and to learn to listen for the wisdom that He provides. It is when we take our focus away from God that we tend to get stuck on man and then we miss out in God’s beautiful plan…amen

The Roots Of Our Foundation

April 10, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

What is the most important part of a tree? What is it that holds up the tree in the winds of sin that try to knock it down? Did you know that our lives can be compared to a tree? Trees come in all different types and shapes. Some are big and some are little and some stand tall while helping others that fall. Then there are some trees which man has grafted for quick growth but they offer nothing but a look that produces no fruit and often fall when the first storm comes their way.

The root system is the most important part which determines the longevity of the tree. For if the root system is shallow then it may look good for a little while but don’t expect it to last very long when trials may come its way. Some trees may look good from up top but it is what lies underneath that will determine their future crop.

What happens as the tree matures if it neglects the proper nourishment to maintain the roots in its foundation?

What if the old roots neglect how to grow with the new roots and the old roots only think of themselves? Can you see how this would start a chain of events in self survival without learning from one another and learning to work together to maintain the longevity of the tree?

Doesn’t every part of the tree serve a purpose all the way to the end of each branch from the seeds to its’ leaves? Even the bark serves a purpose to protect the inner core, and at no time does the tree ever stop growing unless something in this world infects it or tries to cut it down. As long as the roots stay intact the tree will always come back and sometimes stronger than before.

It is when the roots of every tree learns to unite and grow together that strength is gained in the family of God. For each tree learns how to help one another with unity during a storm and even lean on each other to help teach each new child that is born.

For every tree that stands is only held up by God and its’ life is determined by the roots that support it during the storms. If America does not Wake Up and begin to turn back to God with His children calling out His name then it is only a matter of time before the tree could fall to its’ knees!!! God will always bring His children back to Him and unfortunately we often have be shook before we will listen.

The Lord is faithful and promises us that when we take heed to His Word and return to Him with repentant hearts that He will restore us after our falls. It is my sincere prayer that America returns to God with all our heart and all our soul for our children’s future. God gives us everything we need and all we have to do is put Him in front of everything we do and allow the love of Jesus to shine through…amen

Spiritual Guidance Of God

April 3, 2010 by admin 3 Comments

What is it in a man that intimidates another man? There are many different things that cause intimidation but one thing that trumps them all is confidence within a man.

Confidence comes from knowing that something will be achieved and only God gives us what we know. For the Lord gives us the wisdom, the strength, and the confidence to persevere to the very end.  Satan on the other hand likes to intimidate or put up a front because he might appear to have what it takes on the outside but he does not have what it takes on the inside. Satan wants us to take matters into our own hands when God teaches us trust in Him rather than in man.

When something is of God it does not move in its’ conviction but humbly stands in obedience for God to see it through. Challenging a man of God or someone in authority is going against the Word of God. For the Lord is the One who gives us our positions and He is the One that is to move the people.

Satan on the other hand entices the people to move through alterior motives to divide the body and when the people don’t know the Word of God Satan will cause disruption among the people. A man should never try to earn a position out of challenging another man for this life is not about competition. It is about us being obedient and learning to be the best we can be in whatever position that God has given. No position is better than the next because it takes every single position within the body to serve the overall direction.

Many people struggle with how to handle confidence and some allow it to turn into arrogance. God gives each of us our talents and when we don’t understand who is truly in control then you will find that many people will miss use their talents for their own self gain. Satan is very clever in the spirit and he is steadily at work in trying to attack each one of us because he does not want anyone to spiritually break through or to ever succeed in their mission.

This is where it is vital for us to teach the Word of God as a whole to our children and to our grandchildren to insure that they learn to trust God instead of putting their confidence in man. This world is is not only physical but spiritual and if we do not recognize this then we are only setting ourselves up for a limited life without Jesus Christ…amen

” It is better to trust in the Lord, Than to put confidence in man…Psalm 118:8 “

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
