The Word Of God Stands Forever

March 27, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Throughout the Word of God we are taught to forgive and to trust God instead of man. But over the years of drifting away from the Word of God America by majority has grown into a society that wants to show how much we know and some are even taking matters into their own hands. God is at work in every circumstance and it is our job to trust Him for the outcome while learning to do our part with what we have been given.

It is very easy when something is not going our way to try and redirect its coarse but we must remember that we are not not the ones who direct the steps of man. Unfortunately today we see brothers turning on brothers. Sisters are turning on sisters. Parents are turning away  from their children and children are turning away from their parents. Families are being broken and our homes are being divided. This division that is taking place in our homes is even causing a larger division in our nation. It is a proven fact in history that when we take matters into our own hands without trusting God and seeking Him for the direction that we need then we are only setting ourselves up for a fall.

The Lord tells us in  Deuteronomy 30 that if His people will return to Him and obey His voice according to all that He has commanded with all our heart and soul that He will restore us after our disobedience and even bless our children in the future. When you look at America today we can see a parallel to Israel when they abandoned God and became fat and unruly while making light of their Rock of their Salvation.

America by majority has become fat and even lazy. We have forgotten what it takes to get  the job done and the work that it takes to maintain the love that we have in our homes. We have alot of talk with little action and until we step up to the plate and commit ourselves to the job without trying to place our jobs upon someone else then we are only going to continue the downward spiral that is tearing our homes and our homeland apart.

In order to have strength in our homes we must recall the definition of true love instead of just saying the words with little meaning. We are given the true definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13 but it is sad how so many have have fallen to only scratching the surface. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

It is so easy in our daily struggles to only scratch the surface in saying the words I Love You and take what we have been given so for granted. We must remember that love requires forgiveness, trust, discipline, honor, respect, compassion, and work in helping one another when someone may fall behind. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us how to treat one another and our Father In Heaven taught us how to maintain what we have been given. It is my sincere prayer that America recalls our foundation of God and Wakes Up for our children’s future. Our living God is a merciful God that only wants His children to return to Him and then He will carry us forward…amen

The grass withers, the flower fades. But the Word of God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

Do You Know How To Walk With Jesus

March 26, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Did you know that from the day we were born as Christians that we entered a relay race that has already been won? The unfortunate side of this race is how we in our youth try to run too fast instead of learning to pace ourselves to make it to the end. Then as we get older we tend to lay down on the track while snarling at the ones that come by. The other sad part of this race is how so many get lost and how we even tend to forget what Jesus did for each of us on the cross.

As we walk in life God gives us our direction and the lanes that we are to follow. It is our job to be an example in the life that we have been given to teach our children how to receive the paton in the Word of God for them to one day walk on their own and then to pass it on to their children in the future. Life is not just a walk in the park because we all have a purpose to help others along the Way. Things happen in life for reasons that we can’t explain but all that matters in the end is that we have allowed Jesus to be our saviour and our friend…amen

Always remember the start is important but the finish is even more crucial…

Satan Likes To Feed Our Egos

March 24, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Pride is one of the most difficult things to ever overcome. Satan likes to feed our egos with our accomplishments because he knows how vulnerable we become when we are placed in front of the people. Throughout the Word of God we are shown this negative character trait when men allowed themselves to take the credit for their achievements and when this took place it was only a matter of time before God moved them from their position. No one likes to admit that they were wrong but what is the big deal in this? It takes more courage to admit a mistake than to hold on to the error.

I’ll never forget before my fall how my pride caused me to make bad decisions because I did not want to let others down and for how I was trying to prove something that was not my place to prove. It is more important to show that we are more interested in doing right than we are in looking good. When we allow our pride to interfere with what we know in our hearts to be true then we are not only hurting ourselves but we are hurting others as well. It is in our nature to put things off and think that we can fix the problem on our own but until we honestly address the real issue under God then we are only being robbed of the life that we can have.

It is amazing at what we gain when we finally figure out how to let it go and when we realize that we are not  the ones in control. I challenge you to not allow your pride to rob you or someone else of what can be gained and learn from your past to help improve your future…amen

God Has Placed A Diamond Within You

March 20, 2010 by admin 2 Comments

I once heard a story of a man who owned acres of land with running brooks and rolling hills. He decided one day to sell his land and move away to search  for diamonds in other locations. The couple that purchased his property was walking one day over their land next to the creek when they saw something that caught their eye. As they reached down to pick it up they noticed the sparkle that it carried and was fascinated to the point that they brought the rock into their home and placed it on their mantle.

It was a rather large rock with blemishes and even scratches on the surface but the part that caught their eye was not what they saw on the outside but what they could see sparkling on the inside. For there was something about this rock that caught their attention but until they actually took the time to pick it up and study its configuration this rock still remained just an interesting piece on their mantle.

One day when a guest was visiting their home this rock caught  his attention also. As he picked it up and studied the rock he began to polish the stone and help chip off some of the things that were attached on the outside that obstructed the view of what was on  the inside. This man had an eye that could recognize what type of sparkle that he was holding in his hands and when he was done polishing the stone to their surprise this stone was a diamond in the rough that went on to be one of the largest diamonds on record.

Isn’t this how life is? It is in our human nature to look everywhere else and even give up on what we have just as the original landowner did in this story who sold his land to go search for something that he already had. There are so many lessons in this story that we can apply to our lives and until we learn how to look for what God has placed right before us and within us how can we honestly expect to find it somewhere else?

God has placed treasures all around us and it is very easy to overlook something because of what we see on the outside but it is vital that we learn how to look for what God has given on the inside. In the book of 1 Samuel 16 the Lord said, “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.”

So many times we fail to search what God has given us just as the farmer and we miss out on the blessings that can be received. Every single individual has a diamond in the rough but it requires attention, time, study, and even polishing with the gentle touch of love that will make it shine beyond mankind. Sometimes things even have to be chipped away because of how they are attached but once this is done in love you will find that it was for its own good. Once we discover the jewel that we carry we must maintain what we have been given by applying the Word of God to our lives daily to increase our values in life as we learn to walk with Jesus Christ.

We never know what we have until we actually take the time to look within ourselves in the Word of God to discover the jewels that we carry and the treasures of love that fills our hearts and souls…amen

God Confirms His Word In Nature

March 17, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever noticed geese flying in the air? They fly in a formation to decrease the wind resistance to the ones that follow and this allows the other geese to maintain their strength for when they move to the front. The beautiful part of what they understand better than we is how they rotate the ones in the lead. When one gets tired he steps to the back and allows another to step to the front while never losing their direction within the flock. Not one of the geese fight for their position nor do they become jealous of the one in the lead. They just learn how to work together to reach their destination.

God guides us in the Holy Spirit and it is our job to learn how to fly together to reach our destination. But where we differ from the geese is how often we allow the distractions in the world to throw us off coarse and how we tend to fight for our position instead of allowing God to move us from one place to the next. The object in this life is to learn how to listen and then Jesus will teach us how to follow.

Another Beautiful part of geese is how they never leave their mate. Once in love always in love to the end…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
