How To Move In Life

October 9, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Exodus 40 we were taught a beautiful lesson from God in when to move and when to sit still. This lesson is taught in the Glory of God within the cloud that filled the tabernacle with Moses and the people of Israel.  This same lesson is taught over and over through the generations because we fail to stop and listen.

How often in our steps of life do we move without following looking to God for our direction before we step? He guides us when we stop and listen but often we get so wrapped up in life that we listen to everything else instead of the One who brings it all together. Every action we make is accountable and serves only one of two ways. If we serve self then we serve Satan and if we serve others then we serve God.

It is so easy to fall to self and forget how our actions affect others and this is exactly what Satan wants in our lives in losing touch with the people. I challenge you today and every other day to seek God first before you move and examine your steps to insure the path you are on…Amen

One Day At A Time

October 8, 2009 by admin 2 Comments

There are two things we are guaranteed in this physical life and these same two things are so neglected in life and death. It is so easy to just go through life neglecting what we have been given and especially when we become so wrapped up in our surroundings. Why is it we don’t miss something until it is lost? It is sad but true how we so often neglect the life we have until it is taken away.

It is imperative in this physical life to understand its purpose in order to understand the next eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our daily walk is a gift in everything we are given and even our struggles are blessings when we learn to look at them as growing experiences because the Lord teaches us that “He disciplines those which He loves.”

We all have our own individual struggles or as Paul say’s a thorn in our side. When we face these times look at them to find the answers in which you need to overcome where you have been to insure you never fall to them again. Whoever said life was easy? In our human nature we want everything to come so easily but we must remember the appreciation in what we have when we gain something that we work for.

The Lord plainly tells us to take life one day at a time for there are enough worries in the day than to worry about tomorrow. So when you look at your trials take them one day at a time minute by minute and search for the answers in prayer by learning to trust in the Lord that He will bring you through because He cares. Be wise in your steps while applying His instruction to give you the direction and strength in which you need to succeed.

I challenge you today and every other day to enjoy it as if it were your last while doing the best you can in everything you do to reflect the love of Jesus within you.

A Beautiful Message

October 7, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Joshua chapter 3 we are taught a beautiful message in the Ark of the Covenant and the priest. Prior to this point the Israelites were lead by clouds during the day and by fire at night but this time it was different in when the Lord began to send them forward.

As they were being sent forward the Lord instructed Joshua to have the priest go ahead of the people while carrying the Ark. What makes this different than before? Think about what is being taught here.

After 40 years of being in the presence it was time for them to mature in life to see how they would act in being free.  But first they had to be humbled to the point of knowing who gives and takes away. The Lord teaches us here to keep Him out front and to trust and obey.

How does this relate to modern day? Think about it like this. The Holy Bible is our Ark of the Covenant in the Word that we are given to follow. The priests are our pastors that help carry this Word forward in showing us the way home. But our pastors can only carry us so far as the priest did in the Dead Sea because the only way to cross from this life to the next is when we learn to truly believe.

It is the pastor’s position to help us get there while he stands as the priest in the sea holding the Word of God in the Holy Bible to see Gods children be set free. Praise God in everyday we are given because each day we receive is another gift when we believe! Always remember in your walk to keep God in front while helping others in need to help them succeed….Amen

Don’t Be Held Back

October 6, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

In the book of Numbers 13 we learn a valuable lesson in the characteristic of man in the flesh verses what we know in the spirit of God through Jesus Christ. Have you ever been at a point in your life where you absolutely knew the direction to take but others around you did nothing but discourage you from going forward?

There is another point in this besides those around you that did not encourage you in your direction which you know in your heart in what has been given by God to move ahead. This other point is satan in the spirit which robs us daily of the joys we can have if we would only listen and obey to the spirit of God in the Holy Spirit. This is taught again in the parable of the four soils by Jesus Christ in the book of Matthew 13 when He refers to the wicked one in verse 19 snatching away what we hear in our hearts in the seed of God that will give us great joy.

In these two paragraphs above they explain two ways in which the wicked one works in order to keep us from going forward in the direction of God. With this recognition in spiritual maturity we are to recall the teachings of Jesus Christ and act in love while being fastened to the rock that will not waiver in this world.  We all face obstacles in life and discouragement to not move forward and this is where we must let go of what holds us back in the love of Jesus to receive the promise that God that has given to you and me.

I challenge you today and every other day to not be robbed of the joy that you can have when you finally make the steps forward that have been holding you back. This applies to every aspect of life once we understand salvation in Jesus Christ…Amen

Competition In The Church Body

October 5, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

It is sad but true how many churches have fallen into the trap of competing against one another instead of working with each other as they should. Some churches are even copying others while some are even trying to market themselves to pull people in. Church is not a place for competition nor a place that should be marketed as a product on the street. It doesn’t matter the type of building we may have or the activities in the church! What matters is the movement of the Holy Spirit in a church that understands their position under God through Jesus Christ in being real verses one that is not.

Every church under Christ has its church roll within the body and it is our job to be sharing the Word with others in the streets. As we do the work in sharing the Truth with others then it is between the individual and the Lord for them to follow the pull that they receive in their heart.  Who is guilty of this sin in allowing the competition in the church and (feeling) like they must keep up with the Jones’s to keep their flock together? This sin falls upon our leadership for not properly teaching the love within the family and trying to hold the family together with things of this world verses being in a bond of true love that can’t be broken.

Love is not something that can be bought for it was freely given. For things of this world fade away, and the love of God goes on forever…
