God Wants Obedience Not Promises

March 31, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

God does not want our promises for the future but obedience for the day. For He knows how weak we are in the flesh and how we tend to make decisions in our emotions which only lead to broken promises in the future. Everyday that we are given we are to honor our commitments and do our jobs to the best abilities that we can.

You will find that people tend to make promises in order to achieve their desires and it is very wise for us to recall that we don’t control the future. A person can only speak for themself and when someone tries to speak for others they must be on one accord to achieve the goal in the end. I challenge you today to not focus on what you desire in the future but learn to commit yourself to do the best job you can for the day…amen

The Word Of God Stands Forever

March 27, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Throughout the Word of God we are taught to forgive and to trust God instead of man. But over the years of drifting away from the Word of God America by majority has grown into a society that wants to show how much we know and some are even taking matters into their own hands. God is at work in every circumstance and it is our job to trust Him for the outcome while learning to do our part with what we have been given.

It is very easy when something is not going our way to try and redirect its coarse but we must remember that we are not not the ones who direct the steps of man. Unfortunately today we see brothers turning on brothers. Sisters are turning on sisters. Parents are turning away  from their children and children are turning away from their parents. Families are being broken and our homes are being divided. This division that is taking place in our homes is even causing a larger division in our nation. It is a proven fact in history that when we take matters into our own hands without trusting God and seeking Him for the direction that we need then we are only setting ourselves up for a fall.

The Lord tells us in  Deuteronomy 30 that if His people will return to Him and obey His voice according to all that He has commanded with all our heart and soul that He will restore us after our disobedience and even bless our children in the future. When you look at America today we can see a parallel to Israel when they abandoned God and became fat and unruly while making light of their Rock of their Salvation.

America by majority has become fat and even lazy. We have forgotten what it takes to get  the job done and the work that it takes to maintain the love that we have in our homes. We have alot of talk with little action and until we step up to the plate and commit ourselves to the job without trying to place our jobs upon someone else then we are only going to continue the downward spiral that is tearing our homes and our homeland apart.

In order to have strength in our homes we must recall the definition of true love instead of just saying the words with little meaning. We are given the true definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13 but it is sad how so many have have fallen to only scratching the surface. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

It is so easy in our daily struggles to only scratch the surface in saying the words I Love You and take what we have been given so for granted. We must remember that love requires forgiveness, trust, discipline, honor, respect, compassion, and work in helping one another when someone may fall behind. Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us how to treat one another and our Father In Heaven taught us how to maintain what we have been given. It is my sincere prayer that America recalls our foundation of God and Wakes Up for our children’s future. Our living God is a merciful God that only wants His children to return to Him and then He will carry us forward…amen

The grass withers, the flower fades. But the Word of God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

Make The Most Out Of What You Have

March 23, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Everywhere we turn society is telling us to make the most out of life and Satan is tempting us to jump time to feed our sinful nature. They say,” Live it up and you only live once. Reach for the stars and don’t quit until you get there.” These are good statements but the most important part that many people are missing is how to make the most out of what we already have and learn how to maintain our foundation in order for our children to stand in the future.

It is very easy to place our eyes upon our goals but if we overlook the daily steps that are required to get there then we are only setting ourselves up for a fall. There is a specific reason that God taught us first hand with Moses how to not only walk in life but how to maintain what He has given. God wants to bless us with more but until we learn how to appreciate what we have then how can we honestly expect something better?

I challenge you today to make the most out of what you have and do the work that it takes to maintain what you have been given. Because it is what we teach to our children in our actions that sets their patterns for their future…amen

God Has Placed A Diamond Within You

March 20, 2010 by admin 2 Comments

I once heard a story of a man who owned acres of land with running brooks and rolling hills. He decided one day to sell his land and move away to search  for diamonds in other locations. The couple that purchased his property was walking one day over their land next to the creek when they saw something that caught their eye. As they reached down to pick it up they noticed the sparkle that it carried and was fascinated to the point that they brought the rock into their home and placed it on their mantle.

It was a rather large rock with blemishes and even scratches on the surface but the part that caught their eye was not what they saw on the outside but what they could see sparkling on the inside. For there was something about this rock that caught their attention but until they actually took the time to pick it up and study its configuration this rock still remained just an interesting piece on their mantle.

One day when a guest was visiting their home this rock caught  his attention also. As he picked it up and studied the rock he began to polish the stone and help chip off some of the things that were attached on the outside that obstructed the view of what was on  the inside. This man had an eye that could recognize what type of sparkle that he was holding in his hands and when he was done polishing the stone to their surprise this stone was a diamond in the rough that went on to be one of the largest diamonds on record.

Isn’t this how life is? It is in our human nature to look everywhere else and even give up on what we have just as the original landowner did in this story who sold his land to go search for something that he already had. There are so many lessons in this story that we can apply to our lives and until we learn how to look for what God has placed right before us and within us how can we honestly expect to find it somewhere else?

God has placed treasures all around us and it is very easy to overlook something because of what we see on the outside but it is vital that we learn how to look for what God has given on the inside. In the book of 1 Samuel 16 the Lord said, “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.”

So many times we fail to search what God has given us just as the farmer and we miss out on the blessings that can be received. Every single individual has a diamond in the rough but it requires attention, time, study, and even polishing with the gentle touch of love that will make it shine beyond mankind. Sometimes things even have to be chipped away because of how they are attached but once this is done in love you will find that it was for its own good. Once we discover the jewel that we carry we must maintain what we have been given by applying the Word of God to our lives daily to increase our values in life as we learn to walk with Jesus Christ.

We never know what we have until we actually take the time to look within ourselves in the Word of God to discover the jewels that we carry and the treasures of love that fills our hearts and souls…amen

By Faith God Restores Our Lives

March 19, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

By faith many marriages have been healed. By faith many that have faced difficult times made it through. By faith our families can be restored and by faith our nation can overcome! No matter how bad things may seem we are to never lose hope in our circumstances because we never know what God has in store. He allows us to fall to teach us who picks us up and to make sure that we stay humble in the future.

All it takes is one man of true faith and God will work wonders to help uplift His children. If we sit around with little hope in our voice then how can we honestly expect the moral of those around us to be? I don’t know about you feel but my God is an All Powerful God that gives Mercy in His Grace and nothing is over until He says it is over! So, until that day we go home we should be doing everything we can to teach our children how to never give up or lose hope no matter what they face to show how God delivers us from this place.

Life is not about us. It is about serving God’s purpose and what we leave behind to help someone in their future…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
