Be A Doer Not Just A Hearer…

November 10, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

 Good morning,

I greet you in the name of the Lord and our savior Jesus Christ. This morning I would like to share with you something a little different than before in a brief testimony in how my life has changed. Over the years I heard the Word of God spoken and even played the roll of calling myself a Christian when I (thought) that I knew Jesus when I really did not understand His purpose in life.

It is very easy to call ourselves a Christian to fit into the community because this is what we must do to be accepted in our society that we live in, or to call ourselves a Christain when we don’t want to listen to someone trying to tell us about God because we don’t want to hear how we are accountable for our actions. There was a time that I played church on one side, but something totally different on the other. In this recognition of my previous life I now see how to properly believe because it is not about trying to walk on water , but it’s how we walk on land.

I just want to tell you today how I praise God for sending His Son Jesus Christ to show us the way back home!!! I was so lost but now I am found!!! Jesus has delivered me from all my hurt and all my shame. The beautiful thing about God our Father in Heaven is that He loves us each of us so much that He never gives up on us even when we are deep in the darkness and not properly living in the light which is given through Jesus Christ. I say all of this to you this morning in hopes that you will praise God with me, for as I write these words in God’s great mercy I have tears of praise in giving God all glory from delivering me from my pain…

Never give up or lose hope on the love that you seek even when life seems so dark and bleek. Because all you have to do is listen to that gentle whisper in your heart in allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you back home. What is home some may ask, and I would like to tell you what home is to me now that I have been set free,” Home is a place of security and strength in thy Father’s arms and filled with motherly love that is given through Jesus Christ in always being their even when we fall. Home is also a place we share meals together and laugh with one another in just being who we are instead of acting like something that we are not.”

Life is a journey that we are to learn from and to teach our children how to carry on even when we are gone. If there is anything that I can ever say to you, I pray that you praise God with me and join together in being a doer and not just a hearer. God is real and Jesus is the Son, and I want you to remember that our walk and even our talk does matter in everything we do. So with all of this being said this morning, I challenge you today and every other day to make a positive difference and never lose hope in the darkness of this world  because when we learn to trust in God all things work together for the good…amen

How To Not Fall Into Depression

November 9, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy in life to fall into a box of soclusion when we don’t want to face the facts or see what is really taking place as the world turns all around us. In the medical field they call this soclusion a form of depression. But  the fact is that depression is nothing but allowing Satan to rob us of the strength and direction that God gives when we trust in Him rather than falling deeper into our issues in life.

Spiritually satan wants us to fall into despair because he knows that when we open that door in our minds that many don’t know how to close it without being consumed by their issues in life. Life is a beautiful thing when we learn how to open and close the door in addressing our issues and not allowing Satan to spiritually rob us of the joys we have in life with Jesus Christ.

When you look at your issues in life think of them as a song being played in the background. How can you truly listen to the words of more than one song at a time? Whether you are not facing issues in just trying to reach certain goals or you are going through difficult times in life, always remember how to open and close the door to focus on the music which you have before you. As the Lord teaches us in Matthew 6:24 ” No one can serve two masters,” and when we allow our goals or circumstances to control us then how can we honestly stay in tune with God?

I challenge you today and every other day to mentally train yourself to focus on what you have before you in one segment at a time. By following this simple principle in life which was originally taught to us through Jesus Christ then we will not be robbed of the joy that we carry. It helps to departmentalize each area of our life so we can break it down to set up positive goals to not only improve our life but to be able to maintain what we have been given through the love of Jesus Christ…amen

Make A Positive Difference…

November 6, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

How many times have you struggled to improve something or make a difference in your life that will in turn make a difference in someone elses? Why is it that we allow ourselves to be robbed of doing something when we know in our hearts that it could be better for not only ourselves but for those around us?

It is so easy to leave something up to someone else and not do it ourselves because we may feel there is no hope or it is too much work to be done, and this thought process is so wrong! When we fall to this negative thinking what do you see this teaching to our children and to those all around us? We must remember in the body that all parts are to work together as one in the direction of God through Jesus Christ .

All we have to do is learn to take that first step in faith within the will of God and do the work that the Lord has put before us to make a difference in our lives that will in turn make a difference in someone else’s.

I challenge you today and every other day to commit yourself in making a positive difference that will improve something in your life and teach others how to never lose the seed of love that we carry in Jesus Christ. It is easy to wait on someone else to do something, but have you ever thought that the other person may be waiting on you?

We all wait on something and timing is important, but this is no excuse to never share or do what we know in our hearts to be true…amen

Turning A Negative Into A Positive…

November 4, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

It is so easy in life when we get wrapped up in negativity that we can’t see the positive outcome.

We must remember that in every negative there is a positive if we are willing to look beyond the issue to find the solution.

How we handle our negative circumstances teaches our children how to act and even react in the future. I challenge you today and every other day to look for the positive in every negative and strive to be a positive example no matter your circumstance in life. Once you learn this step in maturity then you will not only grow stronger but you will grow wiser in your steps of the future…amen

There Is An Art To Balance…

November 3, 2009 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever really considered the art in self  discipline which is a required skill in  balancing our lives mentally, physically, and most of all spiritually?  How often do you take the time to keep these three principles in tune? This should be a task in every day that we are given, and if we are neglecting this fact then our lives can easily get out of control.

Think about yourself walking a tight rope that is high in the air with very little room in your step to spare. What do you see happening when you take your eyes off of the line that we are to follow? Can you see the importance of knowing where to stand?

We are taught how to stand in the Holy Bible from the old testament to the new.  For in the beginning we learn how stay mentally focused on God as we physically mature in life. Then as time goes on, in our physical maturity from one generation to the next, then we are set spiritually free once we learn how to properly believe.

In everyday that we are given it is vital to know the foundation from which we stand and pay attention to our steps in life. So, I challenge you today and every other day to strive in your steps to not only keep your life in balance but to be a good example in teaching our children of the future…amen

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
