Enjoy The Journey Of Life

August 5, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy to go through our daily routines and become blind to the what God has to offer when we get so wrapped up in the world. Our routines often cause us to function like a robot that moves without life with the direction that someone else said to follow. Life is full of adventure and beauty when we open our eyes to what God has to offer in His spirit which gives us the life to live.

We all travel from time to time from one destination to the next and if you will really pay attention to your surroundings along the Way rather than focusing only on the destination you might be amazed at what you will find. We all tend to focus on where we are going to the point that we miss how God instructed us to get there.

I challenge you today to open your eyes and ears to the life that is around you to not miss something that God has right before you because life is not only about the destination but about the journey…amen

Child Like Faith

August 4, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy to see the physical differences in people and allow these differences to cause a division within the overall body that create a barrier for us to overcome. These divisions that can come between us not only rob us of the blessings of God but they also open the door to Satan to spiritually misguide us into forgetting how we are to work together as One in the body as children of God.

Jesus tells us that we will never enter into the Kingdom of God unless we become like little children and this is where we often miss the boat as we mature. A child does not judge an individual for what they have or for where they have been, for a child just looks for the love in the individual without any partiality from within. Another part of the child like faith is that they are still teachable in their tender hearts without becoming stuck in their ways to miss what God has before them.

I challenge you today to open your heart and recall what it was like to be a child to hear the message that Jesus wants us to hear…

Don’t Allow Satan To Hold You Down

August 3, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Yesterday, there was a lesson shared from Luke 10 on the Good Samaritan that helped someone that had been pushed aside by the very ones who claimed to follow the Word of God. This Jewish man that was in the ditch had been robbed by thieves as he traveled from one destination to the next. Who do you think was spiritually guiding the thieves to hurt this man that deserved no harm? Who do you think caused the ones to walk on by because they failed to hear another child’s cry?

There is another way to see this message when we look at it in the spiritual eyes of Christ. The man that was traveling was a child of God that Satan set out to destroy. This man can be compared to a woman that has been raped and robbed of her dignity. This man can be compared to a child of God that that has been preyed upon in molestation in order to rob them of their self esteem. This man can be compared to the poor that has been robbed by the rich in order to keep him down due to someone else’s greed, and this man can be compared to someone in the church family that is crying out in their needs while the church neglects their duties of serving the people instead of worrying about where they are going next.

Many of us have experienced pains in our life and some of us have fallen into the ditch at times but all that matters is how we pick ourselves back up again to return to the path that God has given. I challenge you today to not allow Satan to spiritually hold you down anymore in your mind or through others that are trying to rob you of who you are as a child of God!

If you are in a ditch STAND UP and dust yourself off with your hands in the air in just thinking God for how you have been spared! Recognize those that are trying to hold you down and learn to love them to show who you are in Christ to help others along the Way…amen

Are There Barriers In Your Life

July 31, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

It is very easy to see the physical differences in people and allow these differences to cause a division within the overall body that create a barrier for us to overcome. These divisions that can come between us not only rob us of the blessings of God but they also open the door to Satan to spiritually misguide us into forgetting how we are to work together as One in the body while respecting each part for the roll that we all carry.

To help us break these barriers between one another it is vital that we recognize that there are only two types of people in this world. We are either a child of God that serves the Kingdom or we are a child of Satan that seeks the world. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us how to live in the world but not of the world while instructing us to love the enemy in hopes that the enemy would recognize how God’s love is for all people.

As a child of God in this world it is very critical that we teach our children how to avoid these divisions in the body of Christ by teaching them how Satan wants us to be robbed of who we are. The day that we are given life as a child of God it is important to recognize how Satan has been already at work in the family to destroy the foundation of the home that is needed to raise our children. As God’s children mature they are in constant attack spiritually to be robbed of who they are to limit the amount of work that they can do in helping others along the Way.

A good example of this is how men prey on women to satisfy a selfish desire that is being triggered in an emotion. The spiritual deception that works in our sexual desires is a very dangerous emotion to recognize because Satan works strongly in these desires because he knows how they can rob someone of who they are and how they can cause us to feel like something that we are not. Our emotions are critical to recognize in how they can misguide us and cause us to do something that we would later regret. This happens in all aspects of life from buying something that we do not need, from saying something that we should not say, doing something that we should not do, and even quitting on something because we feel that we can do no more.

When we allow our emotions to guide our lives it is very easy to become suppressed and lose the direction which God provides. This world is full of pressures that come from every corner and when we do not teach our children how to handle their pressures in the Word of God through the self discipline that is required to maintain what we have been given then we are only setting our children up for a hard road in the future.

Teaching does not only come in books but in the example of how we live our lives in this world. When God gives us the gift of our children it is our responsibility to not only provide for them but to teach them in our words and actions how to rise above the hardships that we encounter from time to time to eliminate any divisions that can cause a separation within the body. When we begin to look at every human being as a creation of God then this helps us to look past what we physically see and this displays to others in whom we believe.

I challenge every reader that reads this message to take a step forward in faith to break down the barriers which may be holding you back. Often all it takes is for one to make that first step in love to overcome where we have been and then to help others along the Way. Sometimes that first step that we take in humbling our self is all that is needed to set others free…amen

“But even more blessed are all who hear the Word of God and put it into practice.” Luke 11

Riding The Wave Of Marriage

July 27, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Marriage is like riding a wave. Some individuals become anxious and fail to wait on the right one. While some just drift looking for the perfect wave that never comes or just passes them by. There is no perfect wave but only the One of God and the object to locating our wave that will fit is learning how to accept what we have and then learning how to commit.

Before we begin it is best to start out slow. First on our stomach, then to our knees and when we feel the time is right is when learn how to stand hand in hand.
Sometimes the waves may get choppy and the seas may become rough but throughout the ride we are to keep our love right by our side. There will be times when we must part but this does not mean that our love is any different from the very start.

In those times that we may not be physically together does not mean that our direction is to change. Because when we are not together in the physical then we are still connected in the spiritual. A relationship takes daily nourishment to stay on the same wave and it is when we neglect these principles in love that our relationships can easily drift apart.

I challenge you to stay in touch daily with who you are in Christ and allow the wave of God to put it all together…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
