Accomplishing A Mission of God

April 30, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

It is in our human nature to become selfish in our ideas because in the flesh we want to receive the attention or the rewards. Don’t regard yourself as the only one through whom God is working because we frequently underestimate people and don’t challenge them with our dreams to see God’s work in the world.

When God plants an idea in our mind to accomplish something for Him we should share it with others and learn to trust the Holy Spirit to impress them with similar thoughts. Often God uses one person to express the vision and others to help turn it into reality and when we try to hold on to what God gives we often miss what He has in store.

To accomplish a mission we need to encourage and inspire others to have teamwork that will lead to action in accomplishing God’s goals. This is required in every aspect of life and until we learn how to work together we will only drift further apart…amen

Maturity In The Word Of God Develops Wisdom

April 29, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In our youth it is natural for us to copy what we see but as we mature each individual should be learning to develop and stand on our own with unity in the body of Christ. God shows us things to learn from them and to grow in them without taking away from the overall family of God.  This is where many people miss the overall direction of God and take matters into their own hands instead of learning to commit themselves where they have been planted and trusting God for the outcome.

This stage of spiritual maturity was taught by King David in 2 Samuel 16 of the Holy Bible. In his youth David would have probably taken Shimei’s head off but in his maturity he learned to trust in God for the end results rather than taking matters into his own hands. It is natural in our youth to want to act in the flesh but when we do this is when we often miss the hand of God at work because we become impatient and want immediate results.

I challenge you today if you are struggling with an issue to stand strong where you are in love and allow God to fix what needs to be repaired. It is easy to jump ship when we feel as if ours is sinking but until we learn to trust in God and work together every ship will eventually take on water…

True Love Never Dies

April 27, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Everyday we face people that try to push there ways upon us and it is important to understand that nothing of God is of force but it comes in our own freewill. There is nothing worse than dealing with people that try to push something upon us and almost every time we find this we can discover a selfish ambition that is being spiritually misguided by Satan.

It is our place as a loving Christian to stand on the Truth in the Word of God and to learn that maturity is developed over time. When we learn how to communicate in love with one another there is a great relationship that is being born that will only grow stronger in time. The fullness of Christ is developed as we mature and the beautiful part about love is that true love never dies…amen

True Giving Comes With A Price

April 16, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 24 of the Holy Bible we learn another great lesson in life through King David giving an offering to the Lord. He refused to give something that did not cost him something because he knew that true giving always comes with a price. This same message was confirmed with God later in the Holy Bible when He sent His only begotten Son to give His life for the sake of ours.

Think about it! If we only give something that does not cost us something then how shallow is this giving? It is easy to give what has been given but when we don’t recognize the price that has been paid for the gift that we have received then what appreciation would we have when we say that we truly believe?

Nothing in life is ever truly gained without some sort of sacrifice and this is what the Lord taught us over and over throughout the Holy Bible. For instance, an athlete who wants to excel must sacrifice not only his time and be dedicated to his goals but he/she must even have the self discipline in their diet to help them reach the levels that they may pursue. Another example, in business we have to put in the work before we can expect to have some rewards and this often follows a sacrifice with dedication to one day enjoy the fruit of the labor. Another great example is in our marriage and what it takes to have a successful relationship by learning to sacrifice ourselves for the sake of our spouse. This same practice of sacrifice applies to our relationship with God through the love of Jesus Christ. For if we are not willing to give then honestly why should we expect to receive?

I challenge you today to sacrifice something of yourself without holding back. Not all blessings are seen, acknowledged, or recognized but they are what we know in our hearts to be true because what matters to God is that we do our part…amen

Our Actions Speak More Than Words

April 15, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In 2 Samuel 19 of the Holy Bible we learn a valuable lesson on how our actions speak more than our words. In this lifes’ lesson King Davids’ men felt rejected after laying down their lives for him and he showed no gratitude in his grief because he was too caught up in his own agenda. Although we might not encounter things quite to this level with King David and his men but we all encounter rejection at times in love when someone we serve does not even acknowledge the service that has been provided.

Have you ever spent alot time preparing something for someone else in love but the other person not even appreciate what was given? What about helping someone build something and once it was complete they took the credit to only leave you behind? Or, have you ever stood up for what is right and then those that you thought were with you only coward down because they were too scared of being taken down?

We all face rejection from time to time and rather than becoming bitter or upset it is wise to trust God for the end results. Satan likes to spiritually hold us down in our rejections because he knows how easily we can be held back.  I challenge you today to walk on in love and to never feel rejected. The Lord wants each one of us to learn from our experiences to help us encourage others in the future…amen

There is no rejection in love but only discipline to understand how to move forward without being held back…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
