For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
For the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
In life it is very easy to become blind when we have the eyes to see, and it is also very easy to become deaf when we have the ears to hear… Everyday we are faced with different trials, different objectives and different circumstances that can cause us to be imprisoned within our own life instead of enjoying the freedom that we have in the spirit of God through Jesus Christ.
When we become so busy or so focused on our own objectives that we can’t hear or see the love and the needs that are all around us, then we need to take a step back in order to maintain our balance in life. It is Satan’s goal to restrict us to the point that we can’t see past our own lives to the lives of others, and when we become so wrapped up in ourselves then we are being robbed of the love that needs to be shared.
Life is not about what we want or what we gain in this world as Adam displayed in the Garden of Eden, but about what Jesus taught us in how we are to live in the freedom which God has given and how to help others along the way. We all have our own issues and go through different trials in life in order to learn how to help someone else in theirs. I challenge you today and every other day to not be so consumed in your life that you can’t help or encourage someone else in theirs. We never know what that one word of encouragement can do for someone else when we allow the love of Jesus to shine through…amen

I thank God today for giving us life and the freedom which we still have here in America today. Did you know that 52 of the 55 signers of The Declaration of Independence were deeply committed Christians? The other three all believed in the Holy Bible as the divine truth, the God of scripture, and His personal intervention. It was also the same congress that formed the American Bible Society and immediately after creating the Declaration of Independence , the Continental Congress voted to purchase and import 20,000 copies of scripture for the people of this nation.
Consider these words that Thomas Jefferson wrote on the front of his Holy Bible,” I am a Christian, that is to say a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus. I have little doubt that our whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator and, I hope, to the pure doctrine of Jesus also.”
Here is a little more history for this day of Thanksgiving of our first Court Justice here in the United States of America, John Jay. He stated,” That when we select our national leaders, if we are to preserve our Nation, we must select Christians. Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers and it is the duty as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian Nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”
There is no doubt of our Christian heritage here in America with how our ancestors truly demonstrated the meaning of Matthew 16 when they left Great Britain to form this beautiful nation and we all need to come together again under God for our children’s future. I praise God today for His “Amazing Grace” in giving us such a beautiful place to live and having the freedom to worship our savior Jesus Christ. May God bless you and your family today and let’s join together in praying for God’s mercy and direction for our country’s future … amen

It is very easy in life to see the differences in people, but instead of looking at what divides us we should be looking for what unites us. Each one of us have something special to add to the overall picture of life once we learn our purpose through the love of Jesus Christ.
Don’t ever think you can’t make a difference when you can! All it takes is a positive step forward in your life to impact the lives of others. I challenge you today and every other day to make a difference, and look for what unites us instead of what divides us…amen

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
