Allow God To Lift You Up

 Have you ever compared yourself to a butterfly in the wind or are you a more like that hard shelled bug that flies in the air? There is alot of wisdom in this comparison because the next time you are driving your car watch what happens to the butterfly who often does not take the direct hit of the car. They often miss the moving object because God’s hand picks them up in the wind and sets them down before the fall.

 On the other hand though the bugs that take the direct hit are often the ones that are flying so hard that they never see what is coming. Is this your life? Are you flying so hard that you feel as if you are being hit by a car everyday that you go out? Are you struggling to keep yourself in the air while blows just seem to be coming out of no where? Maybe this is because you have forgotten how to fly and you are trying to do it on your own.

 The object in learning how to fly is also learning how to land. We all have obstacles and have to face turbulence from time to time but all that matters is that we allow God to raise us up and set us down. Examine your heart for the gentleness and compassion of God as well as the strength to stand strong in the winds ahead. Because when we learn to fly with God He will give us the navigation to bring us home…

Keep Your Motor Runnin’….

 God wants us to learn how to be in tune with our bodies in order to recognize what may be causing us to miss a beat. The fuel that we take in can either lift us up or take us down. Unfortunately, some fuel that is supplied by others is watered down. The object is to tap the pure well in the Word of God without relying on others to keep our tank full.

 Because if we rely on man instead of God to keep our motors running then what are we going to do when that full serve turns into a self serve filling station? Have you checked your fuel gauge lately? Are you out of gas wondering how much further you can go? Is your motor backfiring and struggling because of the trash that you may have taken in? Are you carrying too much dead weight in your trunk? Maybe it is time to clean that filter to start all over again.

 Don’t let Satan spiritually deceive you into thinking that you can run on your own because there are times brothers and sisters that we all need a push or just that helping hand…

Don’t Be Left Behind…

 Sometimes in life when we seem to continue the same circles it is necessary to stop and evaluate why we are not moving forward to keep us from being left behind. In our human nature we can become blind when we get stuck in our ways and allow ourselves to be content in where we are. This happens in our relationships, in our careers and unfortunately it can happen in the church.

 So many times we allow our fears of change to rob us of the blessings of God due to our lack of trusting Him so we try to control things ourselves. This very lesson is what God teaches us with the Israelites when they allowed their fears to keep them in the wilderness for forty years. During this time period of allowing their own fears to hold them back they faced many test which caused them to complain and eventually die off before the next generation went forward.

 Have you ever considered how God’s creation is constantly changing but at a pace that we often miss? Change is something that comes gradual for us to adapt and when we fail to listen change can come at once to Wake Up those of us up that have fallen asleep. Don’t miss what is being said here in this message because God always gives us signs of what is to come if we will only stop to listen…Amen

Are You Making Emotional Decisions?

 Have you ever been at such a point in your emotions that you felt that you could no longer control yourself? Have you ever lost control and then later regretted your actions? Our emotions can be extremely dangerous when we do not have the discernment to recognize good and evil in the self discipline of God. The next time you find yourself being consumed by a particular emotion take a step back to insure the proper impact on the future.

 Don’t be blind sided spiritually by Satan in your emotions and allow him to set you back instead of trusting in God to carry you forward. This lesson is taught to us in Genesis 4 with Cain and Abel and throughout the Holy Bible. Another great lesson of this is with King Herod and the beheading of John the Baptist. King Herod allowed his sexual desires to blind him into something that he later regretted. Do you think that President Clinton and John Edwards might could relate with King Herod? 

 Unfortunately, we all can relate at times to allowing our emotional decisions to guide our actions and this is why it is imperative that we teach our children the Word of God to maintain our future. If there is something in you that is consuming you and robbing you of your joy turn to God in the love of Christ before you act to insure that everything stays intact…Amen

Stay The Course Inspite The Winds

 Life can be an emotional roller coaster when we fail to place our trust in God and we take matters into our own hands. Learning to communicate in love can be a strenuous thing in our flesh but when we learn to keep our eyes on the cross rather than the obstacle that may be before us is when God will carry us to the other side.  

 Seeking what is right by God rather than what we think is right for ourselves helps us to maintain a steady coarse without all the ups and downs. Just because we may have done something one way for so long does not mean that we can’t try something new. Think about it; The wind blows in many different directions and sometimes gentle with other times very strong but does this mean that we are to lose site of the objective? Absolutely Not! This just means that we learn to entrench ourselves in the Word of God to develop our senses as we are taught in Hebrews 5:14. 

 Then it just becomes application as Jesus taught us in Matthew 10:16 in being wise as a serpent and then as gentle as a dove. If your life is full of ups and downs don’t allow Satan to rob you of your joy. Stay the coarse and learn to trust God while being anchored to the Rock of Jesus who teaches us the Way…Amen
