Are You In A Spiritual Prison

February 4, 2011 by admin 3 Comments

Here is another lesson that needs to be heard from Genesis 41 in the life of Joseph that relates to us today. If you know someone that may be carrying a scar from being wronged in life or someone that is allowing their circumstances to rob them of the peace they can have with God then please pass this message on to possibly help someone in need.

In Genesis 41 we learn how Joseph thanked God for the work that he had been given by Pharaoh and this work allowed him to forget all his troubles and the pain that was incurred within his family from childhood. See, during the years that he spent in slavery or in prison Joseph not only had time to learn some valuable lessons he did not allow Satan to spiritually rob him of his sanity nor cause him to not make a positive difference in the temporary season that he was in. Deep within his heart he carried a hurt that no one can imagine unless you have ever been wounded by family or friends. But he learned to deal with this wound in trusting God while never losing hope for the future.

God’s Word, which is still alive today, never comes back void when we learn to commit ourselves to Him with repentant hearts in obedience to His Word. Through the life of Jacob and his son Joseph we can learn the importance of honestly facing ourselves in the mirror of God and learning to not allow Satan to spiritually rob us of our future. Unfortunately today, many individuals never face their pains and they develop ways to hide them through drugs, alcohol, affairs, or becoming workaholics. If you know someone like this may I encourage you from my heart to yours to please pass them this message so they might open their eyes up to the Word of God through the love of Jesus Christ. The last thing any child of God should ever want is to see someone to miss the kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven and allow Satan to confine them in a spiritual prison that can destroy the life that they have been given…Amen

Are you or is there someone you may know in a spiritual prison that needs to be set free???

Don’t Miss The Lesson Of God

February 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Genesis 41 we learn a valuable lesson that applies to us today through the life of Joseph and the job that he received from Pharaoh. After years of being cast out by his own family and lied upon which placed him in prison Joseph was recognized for the favor of God that was upon his life. No matter where he went or what he had to go through the Lord always helped him to improve something for someone else because he was not thinking about himself and drowning in his own sorrows.

How easy is it for us to allow Satan to spiritually rob us of our joy when heartaches or troubles come our way? How many people do you know that seem to be drowning in their sorrow instead of seeking God to show them the way out? Have you ever been in a season within your life which you felt would never end? Here is the what the Lord has placed within my spirit this morning to share with you,”In every season there is a reason to deepen our roots with God and a purpose to help others in where we are. For if we only think about ourselves then we are only allowing Satan to spiritually rob us of who we are as a child of God.”

I leave you this morning with this question upon your heart,”Are you praising God in your circumstances or are you missing the whole point of your lesson?”

Never Under Estimate God

January 19, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

God often works in unexpected ways. When He chooses people to fulfill His plans He always goes deeper than appearance, tradition, or position. He sometimes even surprises us by choosing the less obvious person, at least by human reasoning.

Always know that God can use us to carry out His plans even if we don’t think we have all the qualifications. All we have to do is follow and obey while listening to the Word of God that is placed on our heart to do our part. Circumstances are never so bad that they are beyond God’s help and we never know what good He may bring out of seemingly hopeless situatons!

Can You Hear The Gentle Whisper?

January 13, 2011 by admin 7 Comments

The object in life is to learn how to walk with God through the love of Jesus Christ to serve His purpose and not our own. For there is a time to walk, a time to jog, a time to skip, a time to run and a time rest as we learn to give our best. As a youth we like to run, but as we mature we should be learning the wisdom in knowing when to move with God and when not to simply stay in tune. For if all we do is run without learning to stop with God then how can we honestly expect to truly listen?

Here is a message that God whispered in my ear after prayer one morning in a chapel as I looked over to the piano that I so love to hear. No one was in the room but the spirit of God and myself as I walked over to the instrument to play a tune. In my walk I said,” Okay Lord, you say we can do anything if we have faith even move mountains if we believe. Not knowing the first thing about playing the piano I closed my eyes and touched one key to then hear these words upon my heart.

“The note of a piano string, how far do you hear it fading away? Do you interupt its sound before it is complete? Or, do you start another key so the notes may meet. Each note has a specific tone to its faded end and it is in this appreciation we learn to love each note to the very end. If you choose to meet one key to another let them blend in harmony together so their music will last forever. It is in this process of unity between the keys that we can hear the music of God in the air that is being played every where.”

I must admit that I can not play the piano like a gifted musician but in those few keys that were softly touched I heard those words spoken in the notes that were played. Can you hear the music that is all around and hear God’s whispers that speak to us in His beautiful sounds? Until we learn how to stop we will never learn how to listen…Amen

Forgiveness Brings Restoration

December 21, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Learning to stand again when you have been stepped on by others that could not see and by those that failed to believe is taught in the life of Joseph with his own brothers as Joseph displayed his love for God by forgiving so the family could be reconciled. This same message was taught by Jesus at the cross which is recorded in Luke 23:34, “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.”

Is there someone in your life that you have not forgiven? Is there someone that has hurt you beyond human repair? Maybe your family is splintered due to the  lack of communication or jealousies that can develop from within. Are you harboring bitterness or anger due to some thing that happened in the past? Or, have you learned how to forgive and love for your family to steadfast?

Spiritually Satan works in many ways to destroy the love between our family and friends. This takes place often because we allow our vision to be blocked by what we see and forget how to trust in God in whom we are to believe. We all experience pains and misfortunes in life but when we learn to take our shortcomings to the Lord is when our relationships can be restored.

I challenge you to put your feelings aside and swallow your pride to feel the love of Jesus that is standing by. There is a point in life that we have to learn the art of sacrifice in order to receive the eternal rewards. Can you honestly tell me what is worth being separated from the love of God in your family and friends? Don’t allow Satan to rob you of the healing that comes in forgiveness and cause you to come up short in the End…
