Are You Tuned In?

Staying in tune with God requires humility, obedience and sacrifice. In order to be dialed in with clarity this is received only through the love of Jesus. There are many other signals being produced that are there to lead us astray and the object is to filter the signals through the Word of God in order to see the Way. Sometimes the signals can be very deceiving and this is when it best to simply wait upon the Lord in order for Him to clear up the interference.

Often we experience inference due to sin, selfish desires or simply due to our human flesh but the closer we get to God the clearer the signal will become as we continue to dial in. The question is are we seeking to stay in tune or are we allowing the devil to disrupt the signal?

Here is some food for thought; How can I hear the music if I am not listening for the music? How can I hear God if I am not listening for God? It is easy to miss something if I am not looking for something and the question is, what are we looking and listening for? Last but not least, how can I recognize the voice if I do not know how to hear the voice or because I am too stuck on what I see due to forgetting how to believe?

Spiritual Understanding

The developing of an instrument requires first a vision and then a craftsman to begin the process. The craftsman not only sees the instrument through the vision but he knows the tune in which he or she seeks to achieve as an artist painting a picture. Sometimes during the construction process the craftsman has to tear down the instrument to start all over again but he never gives up on the God given dream or vision for he or she learns something in every attempt. Once he or she reaches the stage where the cords come into play this is where the senses must be developed and in tune to insure the proper sound of love that is to be shared in return.

As the strings are being placed into position and stretched to achieve their full potential this process often causes some to snap and to complain of their pain. Not all cords make the cut due to their own inner tension due to never learning the art of submission. Learning when to submit and when not to is a very wise process within the construction of an instrument of God that requires the unity of the people. This same process is displayed by the craftsman as well due to his or her own submission to the Lord.

We are not the craftsman for the craftsman is Jesus but we are to be an instrument of the Lord delivering the sounds of His praise. Within the instrument their are many different positions and the object is to find our particular position in order to hear the music of God that is being played. For an unbalanced instrument is an instrument without understanding and in order to have harmony we must first have unity…

Unity In Christ…

If you were to compare the different churches within the body of Christ to the instruments within a band you would find many different sounds but all should be on one accord. For the instruments within a band do not play against one another but they learn to play together through the instruction of God and in the love of Jesus Christ. Not every listener enjoys the same type of music or the projection of every band but the object is to love each instrument for who they are while discovering the peace of God in where we stand.

There are times when the bands join together to form a symphony or an orchestra and it is within these times of unity that we can witness the sound of God’s music like we have never heard. For these sounds that only come in unity can bring down the walls that separate us from the blessings of God and carry us to places we have never seen but only dreamed. Each part of the body has different functions just as the different instruments within a band and as we balance our selves on God’s Word this helps us to better understand.

Jesus plainly said,”Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”

The Sound Of Music…

Seeking the righteousness of God and having the self control over our sinful nature is the music that God seeks within our hearts and actions. We all strike the wrong cords from time to time but the object is to learn from our missed beats in order to rejoin within  the music of God through His unfailing love and grace. Many individuals never hear the music of God due to their own lack of understanding or due to their ears being restricted by what they see and neglecting in whom we believe.

As a musician joins a band there is much practice required in order to learn the specific sounds of each instrument. There is another part of this that many musicians can understand and that is a seasoned or gifted musician who has the eyes and ears to enter right in within the sound due to playing for what they hear. This is how Christianity should be! For someone that calls them self a Christian but sits around destructively picking apart the music instead of learning how to play is simply missing the message of God.

As a musician sharpens another musician so are we to sharpen the tune of Christianity through God’s Word. There is an important factor though to understand and that is to encourage through love and not discourage through evil. For the objective is to enjoy the music of God and not allow the cords of Satan to divide the sound…

The Heart Of Music

There is music being played all around us and can be played within us as we learn to follow the art of the sounds and the direction of the conductor. For within the sound of music there are cords which are expressed through our words and actions. The expression of music can be a portal to either Heaven or Hell while some music has little value due to being stuck in the middle between the two.

Gods Word teaches us to honor one another in love and as we learn to move within His instruction there is a harmony within the spirit of God that carries us forward. Moving within the  grace of God should be like the cords on an instrument each having his or her own note but both playing the same tune. The objective is to work together as one while teaching and helping others to learn how to play within the music of God that soothes the soul.

Why do you think Jesus said to the disciples in Matthew 10 to be wise as serpents but gentle as a dove? For He knew the conductor and was giving us the instruction of how to move within the spirit of God as we recognize the sounds of the world…
