Stand Upon The Rock…

April 23, 2012 by admin 2 Comments

In 2 Kings 2 we can learn a vital lesson between Elisha and a group of prophets that can be applied to our lives today. Elisha knew something but the group kept on pushing him through persuasion until he gave in to what he knew due to the shame which the prophets over shadowed him with.

Standing firm upon what we know is a vital part of being obedient to God in order to maintain what He gives. Knowing that he was a man of God they continued to shame him rather than taking his word for what he knew. This could have saved them alot of trouble but due to their human nature they had to discover it for themselves.

How does this message apply to us today you may be asking? Well, look at it this way; Has anyone ever shamed you into a decision or into a point of giving in? Has anyone continued to push something rather than simply accepting your word? The same principle works on a national level as well, just look at America and how our leaders have given in to persuasion rather than standing upon what they know is right by God for the people.

There is a fine line to discern and recognize in the spirit realm to insure that we are following God and not Satan. Spiritually Satan works in forceful ways which can be related to peer pressure where on the other hand God works in love through our freewill. It takes an inner strength of God to stand against the tide of the world that desires to sweep us out to sea but we must recall that there is great power within us who truly believe.

Always stand upon what you know and never give in to shame or persuasion. Allow God to direct your steps for He knows what is is best and He cares about our well being…amen

Sometimes we have to learn how to stand before the Lord opens the doors for us to walk…

Unity In Christ…

November 16, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to compare the different churches within the body of Christ to the instruments within a band you would find many different sounds but all should be on one accord. For the instruments within a band do not play against one another but they learn to play together through the instruction of God and in the love of Jesus Christ. Not every listener enjoys the same type of music or the projection of every band but the object is to love each instrument for who they are while discovering the peace of God in where we stand.

There are times when the bands join together to form a symphony or an orchestra and it is within these times of unity that we can witness the sound of God’s music like we have never heard. For these sounds that only come in unity can bring down the walls that separate us from the blessings of God and carry us to places we have never seen but only dreamed. Each part of the body has different functions just as the different instruments within a band and as we balance our selves on God’s Word this helps us to better understand.

Jesus plainly said,”Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”

Knowing Your Foundation…

September 13, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Knowing our steps down to every fragment of our foundation is wise to insure the longevity of our stand and to know the areas which need to be addressed. For if we continue to overlook or neglect the areas which need attention then this can cause a crack in our foundation. These cracks may seem minor at first but the longer they are neglected the worse they will become. A healthy foundation is one that breaths life and is filled with love without covering something up that needs to be addressed.

A house may look good on the outside but if its foundation is struggling or falling apart then how long do you honestly expect it to stand? The foundation of a home is the most aggravating part to work on due to the hard work that is involved but if we continue to cover up the trash within the foundation it is only a matter of time before the fall. Sometimes we have to break things down in order to insure the longevity of the future…

The Stand…

August 5, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to look in the mirror today and ask yourself this question,”What do I stand for?” How would you answer? I once overheard an individual state that if you don’t stand for something then you will fall for anything. With this question being asked this morning I am curious in how direct and clear the answers will come. America is full of people walking and simply talking but until we learn how to stand in the love of God then we might as well be sitting.

As far as for me and my house we serve the Lord and I simply stand for what is right by God and against what is not. This stand that I take is not only for my home but in everything I do because I know who holds us up and who takes us down. Now again the question is this morning,”How do you stand?” Can you stand on your own with God or do you have a crutch that is holding you up? There is a time coming soon here in America where you best know how to balance with Jesus for if you don’t, then be prepared for what is to come…My sword is the Truth which is planted in my heart. What is yours???

Can You Stand In A Storm?

February 8, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

When you stand up for what is right you better have things in order for the storm that is sure to come. Too many times people try to stand on one issue while trying to hide another and this opens the door for how long they stand…For what are we if we can stand in one area but can’t stand in another?

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
