Can You Hear God Speaking?

January 12, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Can you hear the music that is being played in the spirit of God? Did you know that there is song being played in God’s love for His children from the leaves that blow in the wind and the stars in sky that light up the night? When is the last time that you ever tried to tune in with spirit of God without being consumed by the world? Do you take time daily with God and meditate on His Word? It is truly amazing at what we can hear in the spirit of God that can reassure us in our fears and let us know that He is near.

 Here is what I heard one day as I was writing a letter to my daughter;

 Dear Karlee,

You know I was thinking I need to teach you how to dance. One day when you are much older you will have someone to dance with and you need to understand the purpose of the dance and how to hear the music of God.

There is something very special when you are in the arms of someone who loves you and especially when you learn to work together in the spirit of God. The Lord teaches us how to dance in the Holy Bible when we open our eyes and ears to hear Him draw near. Think about it, the Lord teaches us how two can become one and how to move together in this physical dance of life.

Dancing in love is something very special and to never take forgranted! It is not in how fast we move but it is in how slow we dance that teaches us the true art of God’s romance. First we have to learn how to surrender and then when we learn how to commit is when God will teach us how to move like we have never moved before. It will feel as if our feet are being lifted from the floor because we will feel the spirit of God in knowing Jesus who is the One that is standing at the door.

You don’t speak in the dance. For you learn to listen for that gentle whisper upon your heart and this is when you will recognize God’s love from the very start. Don’t be shy and think you can’t dance because God will teach you the art of romance in this dance of life that has been given through our Father’s only Son Jesus Christ. So close your eyes and imagine being in the arms of our Father Heaven and hearing these words every time you put your feet to the floor in Him saying,” Good morning my child please open your ears to know that I am near and learn to dance without any types of doubt or fears. For I love you and I will never forsake you because my love for you is sufficient to always get you through.”

In this letter to my daughter if you truly have the ears to hear you will recognize the music that is played when we simply learn to stop and listen. For this message was not only intended for me to hear it is for you to know that God is near…Amen

Recognize Satan’s Temptations (w/ Chevy & Christy)

November 9, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

There is alot of wisdom when you compare yourself to a car. Yesterday we discussed the importance of knowing the type of fuel that is carrying us forward. For instance, have you really thought about what fuels your car? Is it the love that you carry in your heart in serving others or is it with no consideration of the people on the road due to your own selfish gain? Do you travel the road as if you own it or are you considerate of others that may be in your way? Did you ever think that God allowed that person to pull out in front of you to possibly teach you a lesson in the fruit of the spirit?

Think about it…Which do you enjoy more,  the time in the car with the family as Clark Griswald did in National Lampoon’s Vacation or the time in the two seated car with Christy Brinkley? Do you recall how Chevy Chase tried to keep up with that little red sports car and how she caused him to have a disturbance in his family?

In this movie series with Chevy Chase we can learn a biblical message of how spiritually Satan will use others as he did with Christy Brinkley to divide our families and cause us to try to keep up with what the world has to offer. We are all tested spiritually daily by Satan to see if he can throw us off course. These trials are there to help build our faith.

Are you unhappy with your car because it is not flashy enough or because it doesn’t have that power under the hood? Maybe we need to examine the fuel to insure what is driving us forward.

Watch this brief Youtube clip on temptation to recall the movie.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQc8vRfld8Q&feature=related

To Care Requires Time & Attention

August 25, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy to find daily reminders that help encourage us in this negative world but if we are not careful to seek the Creator then we could be setting ourselves up to be left behind. It is in our human nature to be lazy and to rely on others to help carry us forward and until we learn to build our own relationship with God through the love of Jesus Christ then how can we learn to stand on our own?

The Lord wants each one of us to discover who we really are in Christ and to recognize our purpose in order to help others along the Way. Each one of us are very special to God and He has given each of us a special task to allow His unconditional love to touch every one in our path. Life is a beautiful thing when we begin to look at it through the eyes of the Lord and realize that we are only temporary caretakers over what He has given.

When we begin to look at our life as a caretaker this helps us to look at things in a new light in order to take better care of ourselves and everything else around us. For when we care about who we are and care about what we do then the love of God will always shine through…amen

“We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.” Luke 17

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
