A Marriage Of God Last Forever

September 4, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

There is a distinct difference between a marriage that is of God and marriage that is of the flesh. A marriage that is of the flesh lacks the spiritual connection that is of God and without the spiritual connection in our relationship the physical connection will never experience the depths of love that will get us through. It is vital that we recall that everything in the physical life is only here for a season and everything that we receive in the spiritual life last for eternity.

So many times when we do not properly understand the Word of God we allow ourselves to make decisions that are based solely in our own emotions or we tend to make decisons that only serve our self. Our emotions are very deceiving especially when we feel as if we are being pressured to make a decision due to our immediate desires or due  to giving in to the pressures of something else.

In the eyes of a human we tend to not understand the difference between a commitment in the flesh and a marriage that is of God. This is why the divorce rate here in America is so high due to relying on the physical connection that is destined to change and never making the spiritual connection that last forever. Without the spiritual connection of God our marriages are vulnerable to the world and they often become lifeless because they fail to allow God to keep them alive. There is a constant spiritual battle here on earth with Satan to separate us from what God gives in the love that we have because of his own separation from the Kingdom of God.

As a child of God we know the feeling of true love in our hearts but when we do not know the ingredients in the Word of God that make up the glue that holds it all together we often allow ourselves to be placed in a form of bondage through our fleshly commitments in search of the love that we know. True love is only given by God and maintained through His Son Jesus Christ and when we make commitments that are not driven by God then we are setting ourselves up for a divorce in the future.

We are all susceptible to the deception of Satan and tend to fall at times to the things that we think that we see due to the way that we feel. This lesson is taught throughout the Holy Bible and especially taught in the life of Isaac and his two sons Jacob and Esau. Within this lesson we study four different characters with two that devised a plan to rob the other two of the blessing that they had received. There were decisions made out of desperation, pressures, and deception to achieve certain objectives without trusting in God and taking matters into their own hands. The decision that was guided by Rebekah the wife of Isaac to have Jacob deceive his father caused a division in the family for several years until Jacob humbly returned home in hopes to restore what had been broken. This is the whole message of God to each of us here today, “For when we humble ourselves and trust in God He will not only restore our lives but He will give us the direction to move forward once again.”

With God in our life there is constant growth that allows us to see things that others can not. The object in this life is to learn how to stand on our own under God without allowing the spiritual influence of Satan to misguide our actions.  What God gives us in our marriages is a blessing that we know only comes from God but there is also a spiritual lesson that we are to learn and that is how two can become one in the mind and soul. Once we learn this then we are on the way to learning about the Trinity that makes our lives complete in the Kingdom of God.

For when we learn to wait on God and seek His will in everything that we do is when we will discover the peace that only He provides…amen

God Confirms Our Positions

September 2, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Our society over the past 40 years here in America has really lost sight of how God is the Creator and giver of everything that we have. Can you imagine what the world would say to King David today if He were to run for President? Can you imagine what the world would say today to one of the disciples that stepped forward to preach God’s Word?

Do you think that the world would tell any of these men that they were not qualified due to their lack of degrees on the wall? What would the world have to say about these men if there was a background check to insure who they are? How far have we drifted away from God and placed our security in the world instead of recognizing the spirit of God that gives us our direction?

There is a parallel to the time today here in America to the time of the Pharisees in Israel that Jesus spoke of in the New Testament. They were so blind due to the physical requirements of man that they missed the hand of God that was right before them. This morning I leave you with this question upon your heart,”Are you looking for God in the spiritual eye or are looking at the physical and totally missing the spiritual?”

There is no human logic with God that can comprehend who gives and takes away. It is not our place to understand but it is our place to follow…amen

Where Is Your Security?

September 1, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

It is wise in the physical being to establish a plan with provisions before we step out into the world. In the eyes of man we don’t understand how to place our security in something that we do not physicaly see. Throughout the Word of God we are taught to have faith in God and that He will provide our needs when we are called to serve Him rather than serving ourselves.

Can you imagine what someone would say to Jesus today if He called their name and said,” Drop what you are doing to follow me?” Can you imagine what those around you would say to you if you were to take that step of faith? So many times we miss what God has before us because we place our security in this physical world instead of trusting in God to give us what we need to move forward.

I leave you this morning with a question upon your heart to insure the security that you have. If everything in the world was to disappear today would you be able to sit under that oak tree and whistle Dixie if you were all alone?

When we begin to trust God for what we do not see is when God often shows us something that we never expected…amen

Steps Of Faith

August 31, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In life we all take steps of faith whether we know it or not. As a child we walk in steps of faith relying on those to properly guide us in love and as we mature we are to leave that umbrella that is held up by others to learn how to hold one up on our own. In business we take steps of faith in trusting that those around us will do their jobs in order to fulfill the service or product that we may provide.

One of the most important things to ever confirm is that God is in front of the steps that we take to insure the path that we are on. For when God is not the one guiding our direction then our steps of faith become steps in the flesh and these steps are destined to fall…

There Is Liberty & Freedom With God

August 30, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In this life we may face many injustices and things which we do not understand. We may even be falsely accused or misunderstood by our family and friends. There will be times that we may feel unappreciated for the love that we show and times that our ideas may be completely ignored. But there is one thing that we all should remember and that is to praise God in the days that we are given for He sees and remembers all the good that we do.

It is up to the Lord to decide the timing and the appropriateness of our rewards. Because if we do not put our trust in Him to vindicate us in His timing and not our own then we are setting ourselves up spiritually for Satan to take us down in hatred or in self pity. It is vital to recognize that our rewards do not come in this life for the ones that we receive here are only the blessings that God gives with the intentions for us to bless others.

When we learn to place our trust in the Lord is when we can begin to experience the peace that comes only from God. Not only will we experience this peace but God will also set us free from the worries of how others may perceive us when we learn in whom to believe. This is true freedom and liberty that is only given by God and can not be achieved by man…amen
