The Whisper of God…

To look for God in only something big like rallies, churches, conferences, or highly visible leaders may be to miss Him because He is often found gently whispering in the quietness of a humbled heart. Are you listening for God? Do you even recall how to listen and apply the Word? There is a difference in what we experience in the Spirit and the direction we receive in the Word. Often we move when we feel the spirit but it is imperative to apply the Word of God to insure the right spirit in the overall direction.

Step back from the noise and activity of your busy life and listen humbly and quietly for guidance because the Lord is whispering to our hearts with direction for our future. It often comes from where and when you least expect it. But first we must be willing to truly listen…

The Lord says in Psalm 46 ” Be still and know that I am God!”

Godly Decisions Are Vital…

So many times in life we make wrong decisions based on our emotions without properly thinking them through. Then we often allow Satan to cause us to be bitter, depressed, angry, unforgiving or just simply rude.

Throughout the Holy Bible the Lord tries to teach us to trust in Him but far too often when we get away from God is when we make bad decisions that not only affect us but others as well. A good example of this is when God promised Abraham and Sara that they would have a son but they took matters into their own hands instead trusting in God to bring it all together. This bad decision brought strife into the family and gave undeserved hurt to a child that did not ask for what he received.

When we ask God for something it is imperative to recognize that Satan can hear it too. This is where we must learn to be wise and trust in God because if we are not careful what we see on the outside may not be what want on the inside. Satan is very clever and he wants us to lose our focus in life and this is where I challenge you look beyond what you see towards Jesus Christ in whom we believe…

Be Alert & Trust God…

So many times in life when we ask God for something we often fail to recognize what He puts right before us. Throughout the Word of God the Lord teaches us to be alert to all things but far too often we miss very things of God because He often shows up in places that we least expect.

It is in our nature to ask for immediate results and then overlook how God gives us just enough to get us through. If we were to receive everything that we asked for how would we know how to trust and appreciate what God has given? When we ask God to help us, be alert for the parting of the seas but learn to appreciate the manna that always supplies our needs.

It is how we learn to walk in life and serve with what we have been given that God will bless us with something more. I challenge you today and every other day to recognize what God has put right before you rather than wondering about something and possibly missing the very blessing which you could receive. ..amen

Stay In Tune With God….

The Lord plainly tells us how to recognize a false prophet or someone that claims to be a child of God by the fruit they bare. If there is no fruit then they are illegitimate children without the roots which keep them intact to feed the people. Many people talk the talk but there is a major difference in someone who walks the walk and those that raise themselves up into a position that is to be given by God.

God spoke to Moses and then instructed him to speak to Aaron in order to teach us how to recognize the Word of God that speaks through the leaders He raises up. Since the vale has been torn God now speaks in many ways that we often miss simply because we don’t know His Word. For how can we recognize the Word if we don’t know the Word and how can we see something if we don’t know what we are looking for? I urge you to to step out of the world in order to listen for the Truth. The longer we sleep the more we miss and the further we fall the harder the hit. Don’t Miss The Boat…

Have you ever really thought about why Jesus was ridiculed and crucified on the cross? As God sent His Son here to open up our eyes and ears He was here to show us the Way. Jesus was put on the cross not because He was guilty but because He was innocent but the ones who had positions of control did not like the message of freedom and equality that He delivered. This affected their traditions, their positions, their finances and it affected their stature of intellect.

Rather than humbling themselves to receive the Truth they fought against the Way because of where the message was coming from and it did not fit their human expectations. The spirit of Truth belongs to our Father and it can be spoken from even a donkey if the Lord choose. God teaches us this throughout His Holy Word and He sent His only begotten Son to teach us that this temporary life is not about what we see but about learning how to believe.

With this being said the next time someone comes from another direction to give you some advice may I encourage you to listen to the heart to insure that you are not missing something that needs to be heard. Too many times we miss what God has right before us because we have either become deaf, hard hearted, or blind. We are taught in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever but if we don’t know how to listen or see then we could be missing the boat…
