Learning how to listen for the music of God within the spirit that is all around us requires us getting out of the way. Too many times we miss the music due to never learning how to play. How might this happen you may ask and the answer is simple. One, many never even pick up the instrument. Two, their doubts of their own abilities keep them from ever touching the cords. Three, then they are too worried of what others might say while they are simply learning how to play.
The object is to learn our note and what we have to add in the spirit of God and not in the flesh of man. Then as we learn to work together in unity toward a common purpose without taking something away from what someone has to add is when we can begin to reach higher levels in the spirit of God as His Kingdom comes on earth as it is in Heaven. A parallel to this lesson was taught with Abraham and with his nephew Lot in Genesis 13.
Abraham and Lot joined together at first and as their instrument grew in time there was a point where they could no longer play together due to one group was taking away from the next. Abraham understood something though where Lot did not. Abraham understood the meaning of self sacrifice where Lot took what was good to the eye. Abraham blessed Lot in their departure while trusting in God and helping Lot however he could. Within the spirit of God there is life, reverence, honor, obedience and sacrifice in order to reach our goals and to maintain what God has given.
Unfortunately due to the sinful world we live in and our sinful nature of the flesh this is a constant thorn in our side due to there is always someone or something trying to prevent the music of God from being played. The object is to learn the cords and to be willing to pick up the slack without complaining or murmuring in our spirit in hopes that they will learn the proper Way. For when we teach in love to those that are humble to receive is when others that are yearning in their spirit to join in may come closer to the well of God and begin to play… For there is music in love as we do everything unto Him….
