A Shepherd Does Not Lead He Follows

July 24, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

A good shepherd does not limit his flock to only one field due to concerns of losing his herd nor does the shepherd only cater to certain ones in the field that have something to give them in return. He learns to respect each individual for who they are under God while teaching them how to grow to their full potential without allowing any divisions within the body. As they mature he watches from a distance as the flock learns to live in the freedom of the spirit by understanding the discipline in the Word of God to  live a full life led by God without being restricted by man.

A true shepherd does not lead his herd from the front but he learns to guide their direction from rear. He is not to let one in his flock wander off without looking for them to show them the way back home while searching for others that may be lost from other herds in the wilderness of this world.  He does not force them to return or condemn them when they may get lost.  But he welcomes them with open arms full of love as the others rejoice when another rejoins the flock in the field of true fellowship.

When a shepherd does not teach his flock how to move in this world from one place to the next then it is easy for the sheep to feel restricted and even lose nutrients over time. In restricting the flock it causes some to jump fence, others to wander off, and even some to starve by not not learning how to live and move in this fallen world.  There is great joy when we learn to live and respect our position under God but even more so when we hear that call of the shepherd to find our way back home…amen

How To Be A Man Under God

July 22, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Many men have forgotten how to be men in their homes, in their jobs, in their relationships, and in the church over the years due to their complacency in the Word of God and trying to please someone else instead of learning how to stand on their own. Men as well as women have specific rolls within the family to help maintain the integrity of our children’s future and when men neglect their responsibilities under God the body suffers due to the load that the women have to carry.

When we become lazy and lead idol lives in our homes, in our jobs, and in our church without the accounatability of God at our side then we are setting ourselves up for confusion in what is simply right and wrong under God. It is easy to accept something when we don’t want to go through the effort to correct the issue but until we learn to follow the Truth in the Word of God we will only continue to lose our way in the darkness of this world…amen

Be Real In Your Actions

July 21, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Why is it that the so many doctors associate with the patients on the job but when off the job very few even act like they even know you? Why is it that so many pastors associate with the sinners in front of the people but when no one is looking they cater to their select few? Why is that so many politicians or other leaders have no problem receiving our money but when it comes to doing their jobs in what is right for the people they fall weak to the ones around them?

Where would the doctors be without the patients and where would the leaders be without the people? Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ taught us how to be real and genuine in our actions without showing any partiality between us no matter where we are in life nor where we have been. If we can not make decisions based on God’s instruction without allowing our flesh to stand in the way then we need to step back and allow someone else to perform the job as it should be done…amen

Seasons Come And Seasons Go

July 20, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

As we learn to come together in the love of Christ it is important that we learn to respect each person for the roll that they may carry without feeling like there is competition in the body. We are all champions with Christ and when we feel threatened of our positions that God has given is when we allow ourselves to be misguided spiritually by Satan.

It is in our human nature to try and hold on to something for too long because of our fears of letting go, but when we learn to follow  as the Lord directs is when we will recognize the momentum in the spirit of God that carries us forward.

I challenge you today to recognize the season which you are in to make the most of where you are and to be prepared for the seasons to change…amen

Unconditional Love Carries Us Forward

July 19, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Learning to love in the body of Christ is not something that comes easily in our flesh at times due to our human nature. The Lord teaches us to look beyond what we see in the physical to recognize the love of God in the spiritual.

The love of God is something that we can’t explain but when we open our hearts and learn to trust in Him to hold it all together is when the miracles of God can carry us forward. We all go through things in life and experience things that we may wish could have been different, but when we learn to recognize how God has brought us through is when we realize that God’s love is not only for a select few…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
