Do Not Covet…

August 25, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Matthew 20 we learn a valuable lesson between the landowner and the workers. Throughout the day the land owner went into town and hired others to join his workers in the field. When the time came to pay the workers for their daily wages the landowner paid the same wages to the ones that worked an hour compared to the ones that worked all day. The interesting part of this message is the order from which the landowner called the workers and that all workers received the same pay.

Within this lesson we can find a test to insure that sin does not creep in and the Lord is teaching us to not focus on anyone else but ourselves. It is very easy to allow jealousy to enter into our spirit and when we allow this it only opens the door for Satan to rob us of the blessings that we have at hand. This parable in Matthew 20 parallels the lesson with the prodigal sons brother who became jealous when his brother returned.

Rather than the workers getting angry and jealous of the new workers that were hired the Lord is teaching us to be thankful for what we have and appreciative for the new help at hand. Can you imagine the next day in the field between the old workers and the new? How do you think they felt that day when the landowner went out again and hired new workers that made the new from yesterday old? Can you see a reciprocating lesson that Jesus is teaching to you and me?

In other words we are to focus on ourselves and not covet another in thanksgiving for what we have. Can you imagine the spirit within the workers working together in unity if they all understood this message?

Are You Ready To Live?

August 22, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If the Lord was to call you home in this very moment of reading this message would you honestly be ready to go? Or, would there be some last minute things to take care of before you could part? Would you be torn in your decision to depart due to some others that could be left behind?

We never know the day nor the hour that God may call us home and with this being said it would be wise to be ready with no unspoken words to those you love. Learning to live day by day teaches us how to make the most out each day without any regretts and it teaches us to appreciate  the time we have before it is time to go.

May I strongly encourage you this morning to look into the mirror of God to insure that there is nothing holding you back and to insure that you are ready to go. For if we never learn how to die in the flesh then we never learn how to live in the spirit…

Jesus tells us in Luke 17:33 “If you cling to your life , you will lose it and if you let your life go you will save it.”

Running On Emotions…

August 18, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Imagine yourself walking on a 2×4 wall that is stood up 12 feet in the air. The wind is blowing and the skies are clear and you know that in every step God is near. Now as you are walking this wall that is part of a home that is being built can you imagine what would happen if you got caught up in your emotions and took your eyes off of the 2×4 wall that you are walking?

Can you see the importance of maintaining your focus in order to maintain your balance? What would happen if you froze up on the wall? Learning to trust God and not act in our emotions is vital to maintain the integrity within our homes and to help others learn how to trust within God. This lesson is taught in the book of Joshua from the fall of Jericho to the defeat in Ai as the Israelites acted on their emotions before insuring their steps with God. Within this lesson God is teaching us in the spirit how to walk the narrow road with Him in order for our homes to stand and to maintain our balance within this foreign land..

Blueprint…

August 17, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever considered the purpose of a set of blue prints before you begin to build a home? Can you see a costly issue without a set of drawings? How about the importance of having the skills for the trade and the proper tradesman to assist as you need? Without the skills can you possibly see some costly lessons that will be learned along the Way? Have you ever considered the most important part of the construction within your home?

Without the proper foundation that is fastened to the rock then every other home will struggle to stand and is destined to fall. Many people in life and even myself at one time try to build something without the proper understanding and before we were mature enough to maintain. The world likes to speed things up where God wants us to stay in tune as we continue to apply the blueprints of instruction in His Word to our lives in order to balance our homes.

For every nail that is driven are nails that hold it all together in love…Without the nails we only fall apart as the winds of sin begin to blow…

Walking The Narrow Road…

August 16, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

For the path of God may be narrow but the longer we mature within His Word and learn to listen to His voice without fears we will find that the narrow road contains everything we need and that there is only one direction to travel in moving forward.  The path of God takes us forward without us looking back or in hesitation for we were not created to walk backwards or from side to side.

Imagine yourself as a mature builder that has no fear of heights. All that you have is a 2×4 to walk on as you build your home. You feel safe and secure when standing on the ground before you start walking up high when all you can see is the sky. The winds tend to blow harder the higher you climb and if you don’t know when to walk and when not then you could be setting yourself up for a fall.

Walking the narrow road with God is road that requires balance through self discipline and trust without fears. For each one of us are builders of our own homes which starts first within our self. Once we learn how to walk in faith is when God will add some rooms for others to join in on the build that is to be serving within Kingdom of God…

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few
ever find it. Matthew 7:14

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
