In Matthew 6 Jesus teaches us about forgiveness. He says in verse 14,” For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Due to the lack of teaching on this Word of Truth from Jesus many people have fallen into a state of spiritual prison. What they don’t realize is that the longer someone carries unforgiveness then this begins to restrict the blood flow within the heart. For the longer we restrict the Truth the harder and more restricted our hearts become.
Our Heavenly Father loves each of us as we love our children and what parent does not forgive their child but only a parent who does not know how to love their child. If there is anyone in your life that is causing you bitterness due to some wrong that was done learn to be set free by trusting God and forgiving that individual. As Jesus said on the cross,”Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.”

Have you ever felt a hunger pain? Do you recall the tightening of your stomach and the craving sensations that you experienced? How about a hunger pain to reach a goal that you have been seeking within your heart? Can you recall making some wrong steps due to following your heart rather than waiting on the instruction of God?
Hunger pains are good when we learn how to wait upon the Lord for they teach us self discipline and help to develop our senses. During our hunger periods in life the devil works in many ways to throw us off course and it is wise to stay in tune with God to insure the steps which are taken. The next time you feel hungry for something maybe in a relationship, a job, for food, or for something more of God may I encourage you to take a step back and ask yourself this question,”Is God directing my steps and can I see healthy results in the decision which is being made?” If your hunger is spiritual then may I strongly encourage you to be humble enough to ask yourself this question,” Am I truly ready for the steps before me?”
Our decisions have either positive or negative affects on others and before any decision is being made seek God first to receive your answers…

If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value. If Christians make no effort to affect the world around them then are of little value. Christians should not blend in with everyone else. Instead we should affect others positively just as seasoning brings out the best flavor in food….
Did you know that the heart of a fallen pine tree that has deteriated to the core can ignite a fire no matter the environment? Within the heart of a pine there is a natural gas within the wood that can explode if bottled up and ignited. The interesting part about this is that a pine tree is often looked down upon by many due to the extra aggravation and the sap that sticks to the simple touch. Another interesting part of the pine tree is the tap root. For it does not spread out like the oak it digs straight down to receive its strength and to be fed.
Like a pine tree we should never discard or overlook someone due to the extra work or aggravation. For we never know what type of resources they may carry in the heart that can help carry us the extra mile….First learn to tap the source and then learn to spread to others…

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
