Maturing Within The Garden…

November 3, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

The gift of being a parent parallels the responsibilities of a gardener. As a child is young they are very tender and need nurtured care. Then as the plant or child begins to mature we are to water them in the Word to strengthen their roots within our eternal foundation. The understanding of the pruning process in youth is a valuable lesson to learn. For if we give the miracle grow to an undeveloped child this often causes them to mature before their time.

There are always consequences to follow unnatural growth and the consequences often go unseen for many years due to our human nature of wanting things before we are ready to receive. Since the beginning of time in the Garden of Eden we can witness this message with Adam and Eve. This same parallel of a child can be compared to The United States of America and how we are now seeing the consequences of our overall disobedience due to chasing a dream without first understanding how to maintain what has been given.

There are principles within any garden in order to experience any type of harvest. It is when we neglect these principles of God that our garden’s and our children will struggle to produce future fruit. The object is to care for the garden that we have been given without neglecting our own. For when we don’t spend time in our garden is when the weeds can begin to grow and the serpents can begin to slip in.

If you were to look at your immediate surroundings today or lets say the temporary garden in which you have been given what would see? The garden first starts with our own temple which is our own body and then it reaches out to our homes, our careers and even in the church. I believe when we all begin to look at life as a garden that we will find that there is work that can be done. May I encourage you this morning to not sit on the porch to watch the weeds take over….For greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world….

The Heart Of A Pine…

June 27, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Did you know that the heart of a fallen pine tree that has deteriated to the core can ignite a fire no matter the environment? Within the heart of a pine there is a natural gas within the wood that can explode if bottled up and ignited. The interesting part about this is that a pine tree is often looked down upon by many due to the extra aggravation and the sap that sticks to the simple touch. Another interesting part of the pine tree is the tap root. For it does not spread out like the oak it digs straight down to receive its strength and to be fed.

Like a pine tree we should never discard or overlook someone due to the extra work or aggravation. For we never know what type of resources they may carry in the heart that can help carry us the extra mile….First learn to tap the source and then learn to spread to others…

Recognizing The Signs Of Change…

May 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy in our human nature to allow change to upset us when we don’t understand what is actually taking place. There are many different types of change that we encounter in life but really you can sum them all up in two ways. One being external and the other being internal. External change happens in our life whether we like it or not where internal change happens only through our freewill.

The object in life is to recognize change as it is taking place and learn to work within it without trying to restrict it. When we fight against change that is of natural progression than we are fighting against the will of God. As this takes place the signs of our fight become evident in our words and actions that can be easily seen. Another point to recognize are the signs of change that come due unnatural progression. For when we lose our perspective of God is when Satan spiritually slips in to deteriate what has been built.

Recognizing natural and unnatural progression is vital to mainatin and build upon what has been freely given. The next time you encounter some sort of nudge to change test it to the Word of God to see if God has placed it there before you to carry you forward or to recognize if Satan has there to hold you back…Amen

The River Of God

December 24, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever noticed the difference between an artist with a natural talent verses an someone that went to school to learn the trade?  There is a natural flow that comes up from within us and the object is to recognize the giver instead of taking credit for our self. If you will notice individuals that discover their natural talents you will find that they perform out of love with no expectations in return.

The object in this life is to enter into the natural flow of God instead of allowing the current of the world to take us under. Too many times we try to hold the paintbrush that is held by God because we want to define our picture.  There are no words that can describe the peace that comes in the river of God when we allow the Lord to hold us up and allow Him to carry us forward.

If your life feels as if it is an upstream battle with constant obstacles in your path let me challenge you to turn around with Jesus and allow Him to guide you back home. We can only fight so long in the current of the world and at some point we must learn how to let it go in order to enter into the natural flow of the river of God. For when He brings things together no man can tear them apart…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
