Jesus Can Heal The Wounds……

October 31, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Within the ministry of God it is unfortunate but true that many wounds are often inflicted on others. Some are direct darts from Satan and many others are simply due to the lack of maturity in the Word of God. When we look upon maturity in Christ it helps to compare this to the fruit on a tree. For not all fruit ripens at the same time for the harvest and it is very wise to recognize the stages of the fruit around us in order to insure their maturity. Another part of wisdom is to be honest in the maturing stage that we are in without acting like something that we are not. For whats wrong with saying,”This is where I am with God and here are my current growing pains?”

Like a child they often think they are ready for something before their time and it is when they receive it that they often discover it was more than they could handle. Within this lesson there are multiple lessons to those with the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Think about it! We learn this lesson through John Mark and Paul among many other parallels throughout the Word of God. For John Mark was commissioned by the Holy Spirit to assist Paul in His first mission but rather than sticking to the mission he left them to go on his own way due to his own lack of understanding and trust in God. In time they were brought back together as Paul instructed Timothy to bring John Mark in a future mission and it was this time apart that the love of Jesus helped to heal the wounds.

One of the vital parts of maturity and understanding is recognizing and acknowledging the lessons that are gained in our trials. These test that are often before us are there to help us mature but far too often we miss the true healing due to not sharing the lessons we learn and wanting to place blame on someone else. It is when we learn to stand on God’s Word and take our trials to the Lord that He will show us the proper Way to reach the other side. So with all this being said this morning may I encourage you to not allow your feelings or your own lack of understanding to move you from where you are. Seek God with a humbled heart and be willing to do as He instructs to witness the healing that can take place in the hand of God…

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” James 1:2

In God’s Hand Of Time…

October 28, 2011 by admin 1 Comment

All this week if you have been reading these messages we have been comparing the analogy of the gears within a clock and how they can compare to our individual lives. As the Word of God teaches us we can not move forward in the Kingdom of God with sin in our lives and this parallels to the operation of the gears within a watch that are in place to take the hand forward. Think about it! What would you expect if you were to open up your watch to see the gears turning but you found alot of dust and maybe some corrosion? Could you see how one speck of dust could hinder the overall function?

Within a clock there are strong gears with big teeth and their are delicate gears with very sensitive teeth. Some of the gears can handle some things while others can not. Can you see the relation to this within people? How would you expect the function of the watch to move forward if some of the gears within had doubts? Now if you really want to look at this with a much broader view look at America as an overall clock and what would you find within the gears? This is where we can apply Matthew 12:25 “Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.”

This is why President Reagan said,”I believe with all my heart that standing up for America means standing up for the God who has so blessed our land. We need God’s help to guide our nation through stormy seas. But we can’t expect Him to protect America in a crisis if we just leave Him over on the shelf in our day-to-day living.” Within these messages this week there are much deeper lessons if you take the time to look below the surface. Too many times we look at the gears of the clock and see the corrosion but instead of doing something about it we try to cover it up and then wonder why we can’t move forward.

May I challenge you this morning to lift your eyes up three degrees off of what you see in order to move forward in the spirit of God. If there is some corrosion in your watch may I challenge you to get rid of it through God’s Word for the corrosion of one can affect many others. It is what we focus on that often limits our steps and when we learn to simply step forward placing our trust in God instead of man is when we can discover the blessings of God in the hand of time….

God’s Timing…

October 27, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

The forward motion of the gears within a clock can teach us many different spiritual elements of time. Throughout the Holy Bible we learn over and over where nothing was ever accomplished until the people were in one spirit and in one mind. As we continue to compare the gears of a clock to the body of Christ we can witness all different shapes and sizes traveling at different speeds and in different directions but all serving the same purpose in the Kingdom of God.

Here is where many get hung up in time. Due to the expansion of the gears within the clock many fail to expand in their position through sacrifice which teaches us that we are to decrease at times for others to increase. This lack of proper expansion within the body is often caused by pride or simple lack of trust within God. The Lord teaches us this very lesson in the anatomy of the human body which He created in the formation and expansion of new cells but due to the blindness of man they often operate as gears within a clock that won’t move.

Learning to operate within the natural progression of time requires communication in love as we learn to merge and operate as one without judging another. Many churches wonder why they are struggling to fill their pughs or struggling to hold things together and the answer is simple. They have created a box or a clock that just operates in the motions of time with little to no life being shown in Jesus Christ. This same thing can take place in our homes and in our careers when we just go through the motions of time without any substance behind our words and actions.

Time is a very valuable resource in order to build relationships and to maintain an understanding. For without an understanding there is no relationship and there is no relationship without an understanding. May I encourage you this morning to step out of the box with Jesus and watch what takes place as you experience something new. There is a peace beyond understanding when we quit fighting to hold on and learn to place our trust in the hands of the Lord as He carries us forward in His time….

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is  patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” 2 Peter 3:9

Energized By The Spirit Of God…

October 26, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Man can construct a watch and try to build a clock but it is only a matter of time before they stop ticking when they are not ran by the spirit of God. The object is to recognize the driver to insure the proper spirit carrying them forward. Many people take steps forward in life but later tend to discover that it was not the road meant to travel. We can also witness those that are built and driven by money instead of faith for when the money dries up is when it dissipates.

We have all heard that it takes money to make things happen or for the world go round but this is so wrong. For it is God that carries us forward and it is our faith that keeps things ticking. As the Israelites left their bondage in Egypt they started out walking as God instructed and once they took their steps forward in faith this activated the Egyptians to provide their provisions. This same lesson was repeated here in America as our ancestors left the bondage in Great Britain. Can you see the parallel of freedom of religion and how the provisions were provided as the Israelites to the Americans? See many people miss the boat with Jesus due to never taking that step in faith. It is when we rely on anything else other than God that it is only a matter of time before the clock stops ticking.

With this being said may I encourage you from experience to insure your steps with God before you step forward. For man wants to build bridges to walk over the water to reach their destination but God says to step into the water to activate your faith…

A United Purpose…

October 25, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you recall the message from yesterday titled “The Hand Of Time” there was an analogy made of the gears within a clock. This morning to broaden our view it is important to recognize that the overall motion of time never stops moving ahead. It might appear that we get stuck at times or travel in circles but it is during these times that we should be seeking to learn within the season that we are in.

Think about it like this: Each individual is a gear and every home represents a single wrist watch that is to be ran in love. Now each family of God that joins together in a church can be compared to the formation of a clock. As the individual watches learn to unite as one we can recognize the formation of the hand.  All around the world there are individual gears that help to make up the overall watch and could you imagine if we were all in sink? These watches that are all around the world which represent the body of Christ are only bigger gears which construct a larger clock in the hand of time. The object is for each gear not to fight for position but to serve as one under Jesus Christ to lead the Way.

Learning to expand and function within the body of Christ can bring growing pains at times due to our human flesh but it is during these times that we can often witness the hand of God at work as we place our trust in Him. Another object for us is to continue forward on the path that we are given without doubting the hand of God who shows us the Way. For what good is a watch or a clock that’s hand doesn’t properly function in time? Like any watch sometimes we have to be reset as well in order to recognize and appreciate the time. May you have a blessed day and please join us again tomorrow morning on what keeps the clock ticking…

“Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.” Philippians 2:2
