Who Deceides Your Fate?

February 28, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very important that we learn how to listen and recognize what is of God compared to what is of man. In 1 Samuel 26 the Lord teaches us through the wisdom of David to insure our decisions to be of God and not to be of man. How do we do this you may ask? First we listen to what is being said and then we test it to God’s Word as we are taught in 1 Thessalonians 5.

In listening to someone that is giving direction it is vital to look beyond the immediate and to understand the future objectives before we jump on board. For if the objectives do not line up in the Word of God than the answer to the question is plain and simple. Don’t allow your decisions to be influenced by what you think you see without taking the time to understand the objectives. Always recall that when something is of God it will be serving others and that Satan will work in many ways to detour and try to stop what God is taking forward.

So before you make a decision it is wise to seek Godly council to insure the steps that you take. All someone can do is give you council and it is up to you to seek God for the confirmation you need to go forward. Don’t move without God guiding your steps in order to insure the foundation in which you stand…

Are You Too Blind To See?

February 25, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Numbers 22 we learn many different lessons that are to be applied to our lives today but too many times we allow Satan to spiritually blind us because we can’t look past the donkey to see how God is speaking to you and me. Have you ever considered the lesson with the donkey and how he tried to warn his friend indirectly without wanting to warn him directly? Why is it that we often miss the indirect lessons and we have to be told something directly before we open up our eyes and ears to the Truth? Do you think that is is due to our own lack of understanding in how God speaks and is in control? Or, do you think that it is because we don’t want to hear the Truth due to exposure that it brings in the light?

It is easy to allow ourselves to get built up on our academics, awards, traditions or our good living and forget how God often uses something we that we would never expect to expose our hidden sin. The Lord loves His children and all that He wants is for His children to live a holy life and then to come home. For the Lord says,” Blessed are those that obey my commands for they will surely enter into the gates of the Eternal Kingdom.”

Don’t allow your stubborness or your rebellion to blind you from the indirect lessons of God that take place every single day. For who would not rather take an indirect lesson verses a direct lesson from the hand of the Father? So, the next time you encounter a donkey it would be wise to listen without allowing your hearing to be out of tune simply because of what you see in forgetting how God’s Word teaches us to believe…amen

The object is to have the eyes and ears open to the signs! But too many times we are blind due to what we think that we see....

Pray Before You Act…

February 24, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Numbers 22 of the Holy Bible we learn a powerful message on how we should pray before we act and how our disobedience can bring a curse. Within this message we can find a Godly man that was seeked for council and was offered financial gain in return. He followed the instruction of God within the first offer but within the second attempt there is a very interesting part to this lesson.

See Balaam followed God’s instruction on both attempts but often what we fail to see is how this lesson applies to you and me. Wasn’t the first response of God to Balaam enough without having to go back to the Lord with a second request? Upon the second attempt the stakes had increased with more distinguished officials appealing to Balaam so he went back and asked once again.

In the second attempt Balaam received permission to go and this plainly shows how God uses his children along with the enemy to discipline us in our disobedience in order to serve a higher purpose. Too many times we miss this in life because our eyes become fixed on what we think that we see when we have forgotten how we are to believe.

So the next time you encounter a confrontation or an offer say a prayer before you act and be sure to follow the instruction of the Lord. For what father likes their child to come back with the same request and does not eventually allow something to take place out of love for a lesson to be learned? Seek the Lord for the answers you need and always look ahead instead of getting stuck where you are….amen

Just because something may look good now does not mean that it is good for later…

Have We Forgotten?

February 23, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever ran into a wall or faced someone that was bull headed? Can you recall how you reacted or maybe how you dealt with the situation? Too many times we get robbed of the message and the solutions to our problems because we allow Satan to remove our attention off of the Lord and place them on what we see. It is easy to get stuck in this world when we forget how to look at the next.

Like the Israelites did with Moses in the wilderness we can also forget that we tend to bring our problems upon ourselves due to our own disobedience. As we take our eyes off of the Lord we tend to place blame on what we see instead of allowing God to teach us the lesson that needs to be taught. Until we face this reality of staying focused on God instead of man we will have little peace and no spiritual growth in our lives…amen

How Good Is Your Word?

February 22, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Here is something that many people fail to comprehend due to their lack of understanding in the Word of God. The Lord plainly test us everyday through people and events that take place but we fail to see this due to looking at man instead keeping our eyes upon the Lord. Our word as a Christian is to be our bond, for the Lord tells us not to make an oath nor promise because our answers should be as simple as a Yes or No.

Due to the lack of understanding between men and women and getting away from the Word of God many have forgotten our responsibility in giving our word and once we do, it is our place to follow through. The object is to insure that our commitments are of the Lord and not a commitment that is of the flesh. When we give our word it should be a bond under God and it is our place to trust the Lord for the outcome without trying to control something ourselves. The problem that we have reached today is that we have no value on our word due to forgetting the line that we are to follow. We often fail in thinking that someone is not a person of their word because something did not happen in our time line verses understanding the time line of the Lord.

So, the next time you make a decision or decide to make commitment under God consider where you place your trust to insure that your word won’t be broken. There is no going back once we start to move forward! For every decision that God begins He is the One who decides the outcome. For it is better to place our trust in God than to place our confidence in man…Psalm 118:8

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
