Pray For Direction

August 24, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever thought about the moment that Christ returns and how He would witness us handling ourselves? We all encounter different test daily that should be helping us to grow closer to the Lord rather than acting out in our human nature. Our emotions are very hard to control when we do not understand what the Word of God is teaching in self control and trusting in God rather than in man.

The Lord wants us to be alert in our daily lives in everything we do. When we drift away from God it is very easy to allow the pressures of this world to restrict our vision. When we stay close to God He helps us to maintain the attention that is required and He can give us the direction we need to overcome our struggles. I challenge you to take the time daily to pray to God for your direction and to ask God to give you the peace in where you are to insure where you are going…amen

Could This Be THE Hour?

August 23, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

How often do you think of the day that Christ will return? Does it cross your mind only when someone brings it to your attention or do you keep it in front of your daily thoughts in order to be prepared in your walk? If God was to call you home this very instant would you be prepared and ready to go? Or, would you be like the rich man in Luke 17 who pleaded with the Lord to at least warn his family and friends?

It is important to recall that life will be going as usual on the day that Jesus returns and that no warning will sound. Most people will be going about their everyday life living for themselves rather than following the will of God. We don’t know the time nor the hour of Christ return but we do know that He coming. He may come today, tomorrow, or centuries in the future but whenever Christ comes we must be morally and spiritually ready.

Everyday that God gives us is another day to live for Him as the caretakers of what He has given in our homes, in our relationships and in our careers in order to further the Kingdom of God through our children of tomorrow. I challenge you to look at  your life on a daily basis to insure that you are morally and spiritually ready to go home. For the last thing that any of us should ever want is to be called when we are not prepared. Are you ready? How about those that God has placed all around you. Are they ready? It sure would be sad to go home and then realize that the very ones we loved were left behind…amen

America Is Lost Without God

August 21, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Throughout the Word of God in the Holy Bible we learn the different characteristics of our human nature and we learn the weaknesses in our flesh when we begin to drift away from God by placing our eyes upon man rather than staying focused on the Lord. In the book of 1 Samuel God teaches us one of the most important lessons in life right out of the gate when the people rejected God and began to desire the leadership of man.

The people were tired of leaders that abused their positions by placing heavy burdens upon the people due to serving themselves rather than properly serving the will of God. During this period of time with Samuel and the passing of the chain of command to Saul God taught us a vital lesson of how not to look at the outward appearance of man nor his family statue but to look at the heart of a man to recognize who they follow.

Our Father in Heaven taught us this lesson for a specific reason in order to help us make wise decisions in our future when we select our leaders because He knows how we tend to rely on what we see rather than trusting in God in whom we believe. In this lesson with Saul becoming our first King or President, God teaches us the importance of our leaders seeking God for council prior to making decisions which could have a negative impact on the people.

The problem that we have today is that many of our leaders are not seeking God for proper council and taking matters into their own hands as Saul did back in this period of time. Many of our leaders are allowing worldly advice to influence their decisions and allowing selfish motives to guide their actions. This same lesson was taught with Moses when he allowed the pressures of the people to guide his actions as a leader instead of following the instruction of God to maintain the position that he had been given.

Due to our society continuing to drift away from the Word of God and looking for answers in the world this has allowed a majority of our population to become vulnerable and confused. In this vulnerable state of America from the suppression of the minority to the suppression of the poor many of our leaders have learned how to use these spiritual oppressions of the people to achieve their positions of power in order to serve themselves rather than properly following the instruction of God.

No one should seek a position of leadership without being led by God to serve the people and when we elect our leaders it is vital that we listen to God rather than to man. As Martin Luther King Jr. was called we learn that our leaders that are driven by God are to help us to move forward by walking with us to overcome our struggles rather than trying to hold us down in order to maintain their own positions.

It is easy to talk about change and prey upon the emotions of the people to influence their decisions but when we make decisions based on our emotions without truly evaluating the motives behind the individuals then we are only setting ourselves up for harder times in the future. This is why we are in the state of economic crisis that we are in here in America due to the world preying upon our emotions in our spontaneous decisions. The same principle applies to children out of wed lock and the high divorce rate here in America because we have allowed our emotions to guide our actions rather than understanding the self discipline that is required to maintain the freedom in the love that God has given.

Real change first starts within ourselves and then spreads to our homes then to our communities. The world likes to think that money is the answer and that our  leaders are the ones that can make a difference and this is where the world is wrong! For real change starts at the foundation or the bottom and then works its’ way back up to the top while never forgetting the importance of maintaining the foundation from which we stand in order for God to continue to bless our land.

It is in our human nature to want someone else to do the work but we must recall that it is our individual responsibility under God to maintain the integrity of our homes and of our nation in order to maintain something for our children’s future…amen

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man… Psalm 118:8

The Kingdom Of God Is Near

August 21, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

In Luke 17 Jesus tells us about the coming of the Kingdom of God and how it is not detectable by our own speculations. He goes on to tell us how the world will be so caught up in themselves that the world will never see it coming as in Noah’s day when the flood swept the people away.

Jesus also referenced the days of Lot in Sodom and Gomarah with the people that were so caught up in their daily business that they never looked up to see what was coming their way. When we look back over history it is easy to see a repetitive pattern that takes place when we lose sight of following the will of God and begin to follow our own selfish desires. Throughout the Word of God in the Holy Bible we are warned of the inevitable destruction that can hit our homes, our cities, and even our nation when we drift away from the One who holds it all together and begin to chase the world instead of seeking the Kingdom of God.

Allow God To Carry You Forward

It is in our human nature to natural to us due to our sinful nature to seek the best seat in the house

Have you ever noticed how people flock to celebrities and others who have accomplished something in life in hopes that they will receive something in return? Have you ever experienced someone that  When someone famous comes through the people look like a flock of buzzards doing anything they can to either touch their hand in hopes that they could be included in that temporary moment of fame or to receive some type of notoriety because of whom they may claim they know.

What did Jesus teach us in Luke 14 verses 7 – 14 on humility? By majority our society seems to be fighting for that seat instead of following the Lords instruction in sitting in that place with less honor. Men and women have raised themselves up in their temporary fame in the media in such a way that they have forgotten who got them there and many have even fallen to pleasing the people instead of serving God.

It is important to recall that no man or woman in any position is any different than the other in the eyes of God. We are all sinners in the flesh and it is very important to insure that we never lose our perspective in separating ourselves from others. The Lord plainly teaches us that we never know who He will raise up to receive that seat of honor and it is not our place to try and take it on our own.

I challenge you today and every other day to examine your priorities to insure the seat that you are trying to reach. When in the will of God the seat we are given comes with humility in understanding our position. For when god brings something together no man can taketh apart…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
