Are You A True Artist?

March 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to look at your life as a piece of art how much depth would you see in your picture? If you were to paint that picture would it include a helping hand in serving the poor or the hurting? Or, would itonly consist of the things that you temporarily have in a self serving picture that produces no fruit in the depth of your life? What good is life with only self serving fruit?

Life is not about trying to paint a picture by only using certain colors and leaving the others out. For if you can’t learn how to use everything you have and blend them in love then your talents are being restricted. My plea to you is to not allow Satan to spiritually restrict your picture and cause you to want to delete the imperfections due to the extra work it is going to take. Learn how to spend time in love in those areas that need to be addressed and watch what will take place.

How Deep Are Your Words?

March 3, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

There are two typesof words with alot of others in the middle. The pendulum of words are either fed from Heaven or from hell. We are in the middle of the pendulum and if our words only serve self then we might as well say we are serving Satan. Think about it! When you tell someone you love them do you really mean it? In 1 Corinthians 13 it says,”Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

It is easy to say words but as Jesus teaches us our actions show who we are. Do your words have depth and meaning or are they shallow and easily cracked? Words are very powerful and can paint a picture? The objective is to recognize the spiritual artist that is guiding your actions. For if the picture has life then it is being driven by God but if the art is self serving then it is being driven by Satan.

So, the next time you speak and the next time you do a self evaluation recognize your spiritual driver in order to insure that your picture adds something positive to life. For what good is life if we are just a zero without something to add and especially if we are doing something negative that will take away?

What Are Your Motives?

March 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

How often do you stop and perform a self check in the mirror of God to examine who or what is driving you? This is very important to understand and to stay in check with because if we are not careful Satan can spiritually take us off coarse. Think about it! Do you do things trying to keep up with someone else? When someone else speaks are driven harder out of love or spite to speak yourself? Why do you go to church out of obligation or out of love? Do you have people in your life that you feel one way about but act another in front of them? Are you being completely honest with your friends and family or are you hiding how you really feel? Why do you work? Is it to one day enjoy your time off or is to build yourself up because you do not know who you are? Do you perform for the awards or do perform just to be the best you can be with humility?

There are many different answers to these questions and there are many more questions that need to be asked. If we do not examine our motives and keep them in check then it is easy to get taken off course. This leads to fatigue due to our human effort which then leads to a fire that will eventually fizzle out. If you were to examine your fire in your work, your school, your church, your marriage, your friends and most importantly with God would you find any hot coals or would they basically be ashes?

If you want to keep your fire burning do it out of love and not out of anger or obligation. For there is no better fire than one that heats others instead of trying to keep the heat for ourselves. Act in love and watch what you will receive in return…

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”  Colossians 3:23

How Deep Is Your Love?

February 14, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

It is very easy to say the words that I love you and especially on special occasions but the real question is how do we show it throughout the year? If the one you love was to fill out a survey on the way you show your love how would you rank? Are you a good listener? Do you have compassion? Are you understanding? Do you consider the other before you consider yourself? Are you forgiving? Do you make them laugh? Are you encouraging? Or, are you just one of those that says the words with no depth and tries to display your love through some type of gift?

Now Jesus says that we can tell who or what someones loves by the fruit that they bare. Have you considered the fruit of your tree or is there any fruit at all? In our human nature it is easy to become lazy and take forgranted the love that we have but always remember that we never know the day nor the hour that we or someone else will be called home. It is my prayer that every individual that reads this message will not take forgranted the life that they have been given and learn to love others as we want to be loved in return…For there is no better treasure than the love of God in our hearts and soul...Amen

The Spiritual Man Verses The Physical Man

February 3, 2011 by admin 2 Comments

In Genesis 41 we can learn another valuable lesson among many in how God will often give us something else to do in the Kingdom of God once we learn the lesson or lessons that need to be learned. In the physical eyes as we read why Joseph was thrown into prison we would think in our carnal minds of  how he was innocent. But lets look at this through our spiritual eyes to see how he could have been guilty of inmaturity and how the Lord developed his senses for his future position.

Do you think when Joseph was in that prison that he may have reflected back on his entire life and recognized the importance of timing in sharing his dreams with his family? Do you think that maybe Joseph looked back and seen where he could have separated earlier from Potiphar’s wife when she was beginning to tempt him? Do you think that Joseph would have learned a valuable lesson in the importance of remembering someone that helps us verses forgetting them once we have moved on? Hmmm…What was the lesson with Jesus and the 10 lepers in Luke 17 with only one remembering Him that parallels this same message with Joseph?

Now, here is the spiritual lesson that is going to take some of you with the eyes to see and the ears to hear to a new light through the love of Jesus Christ. There was a reason that Joseph went to prison in order to learn further the wisdom of God and to develop his senses between good and evil. Yes, Joseph was innocent and a good man of God but the Lord was directing his steps in preparation for his season in the future.

Within these lessons can you discover anything that might help you develop your spiritual being further in the Word of God? When is the last time you spent that quiet time with the Lord and studied His Word without being distracted by the world? Do you find yourself developing your senses between good and evil or have you grown immune in this dark world and forgotten how real God is?

God is still the same today as He was yesterday and He often speaks to us is ways that we miss, simply because we don’t take the time to listen. I challenge you in the love of Christ to seek God and allow Him to show you who you really are. For we never know who we are until we learn develop a relationship with God in Christ….Amen
