Don’t Miss The Boat…

September 28, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever really thought about why Jesus was ridiculed and crucified on the cross? As God sent His Son here to open up our eyes and ears He was here to show us the Way. Jesus was put on the cross not because He was guilty but because He was innocent but the ones who had positions of control did not like the message of freedom and equality that He delivered. This affected their traditions, their positions, their finances and it affected their stature of intellect.

Rather than humbling themselves to receive the Truth they fought against the Way because of where the message was coming from and it did not fit their human expectations. The spirit of Truth belongs to our Father and it can be spoken from even a donkey if the Lord choose. God teaches us this throughout His Holy Word and He sent His only begotten Son to teach us that this temporary life is not about what we see but about learning how to believe.

With this being said the next time someone comes from another direction to give you some advice may I encourage you to listen to the heart to insure that you are not missing something that needs to be heard. Too many times we miss what God has right before us because we have either become deaf, hard hearted, or blind. We are taught in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever but if we don’t know how to listen or see then we could be missing the boat…

Trust In The Lord…

June 10, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Luke 2 :19 we learn how Mary kept things in her heart but thought about them often. She knew what the Lord had shared with her about her Son Jesus and she also knew how Elizabeth spoke of the child that she carried. The awesome part of this lesson is how Mary did not go around boasting about her Son and how she allowed the Lord to reveal the man that He was.

Learning to keep our mouths shut and allowing God to place us into position is the most secure place we can ever be. This goes against our human nature in many ways but when we learn to wait upon the Lord there is a peace beyond all understanding….Amen

Spiritual Confirmations…

June 7, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Recognizing who and what is around you in your spirit is a vital part of maturity in Christ. The Lord has given us senses to develop as we mature in His Word and they can help discern between good and evil. There are only two types of spirits one being of light and the other being of darkness but where so many others are lost is in the middle.

Knowing God’s Word is vital and keeping it in the front of our mind is crucial to help confirm the spiritual steps that we take. The devil is here to kill, steal and destroy and he does this in ways that we often miss because of our focus on the physical instead of walking in the spiritual. Sometimes the devil disquises himself as the angel of light and in these times of uncertainty is when we should wait on God to show us the true colors.

One of the best confirmations is given in time for when we rush into things without knowing that it was guided by God is when they often fall apart. It is my prayer that in every decision that you make that you will test it to God’s Word to help insure the steps that you take…Amen

Test Of Faith…

April 25, 2011 by admin 2 Comments

Have you ever heard someone describe faith as sitting in a chair without any doubt of it holding you up? Many people use this example in teaching faith.  It is a good analogy but lets take it a little deeper in the well of the Lord. If we look upon that chair while knowing it will hold up our weight then what happens when more pressures or weight is added to the seat? What happens if we do not know how to balance the weights through proper distribution and the weight becomes too heavy in particular spot?

If we were to look at our lives as a chair we would find that unless we are sitting on the rock of Jesus that our seats will fold under the pressures of this world. The question that we all should be asking is who or what is holding us up? For if we are relying on money or people then what are we going to do when neither of them are around?

Here is an awesome song by Kutless titled  What Faith Can Do and I pray that it encourages your faith to carry on….amen

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Poor Leadership Curses The People

April 16, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

It is evident in today’s time of the curses that take place due to leadership that does not follow God’s instruction. One of the most vital parts of a true leader is one that seeks God’s instruction and learns to apply it while being alert to the gifts of the next generation. When we fail to recognize the talents of others and neglect our responsibility as a leader to help someone else develop the gifts that God has given is when we are destined for stagnant growth and deterioration.

Throughout the Word of God He gives us the instruction of how to not only maintain our homes, our jobs, our churches, our communities, and our nation He also gives us the instruction to live with a purpose in life. We often lose sight of this purpose due to judgement, pressures or temptations from the world and this poor leadership leads to discipline back upon the people.

Why should we expect our children to have security if we are not following God’s instruction and adhering to His Word? How can we honestly expect the next generation to find direction if we are not teaching them who shows us the Way? Another sad part is how stagnant we have become in creativity due to our drift away from the Creator. The further we drift away from God the further we will fall and the harder it will be on the next generation.

This has been proven throughout history and until we learn how to recognize this truth then we are only neglecting the evidence that is right before us. The question that we should be asking is this,”Are we listening for God or are we listening to man?” Too many times we allow positions of leadership to be filled with individuals that are out of position due to seeking the desires of man instead of the ones with the heart for the position in properly serving the people.

Learning how to let go and simply trust in God can be an excruciating process but is very rewarding as we begin to see the hand of God at work. If we are not teaching our children how to trust in the Lord through our words and actions then how can we honestly expect them to do the same? In trusting the Lord it is vital that we teach our children how to recognize the God given gifts of others to help edify the Kingdom of God and maintain the liberty that we have been given. It is my prayer that we learn to put aside our differences and begin to recognize the gifts within God’s children to help carry us forward.

For when something is of God there is no weight, no burden nor struggle. The work is not looked upon as work with dread but with a zeal in working unto the Lord instead of man. For their is a joy that only comes from God that uplifts our relationships as we begin to have unity within the body to serve His purpose instead of our own…

Psalm 146:3 ‘Do not put your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help’.

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
