A Nurtured & Balanced Life…

July 27, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

As a farmer who raises a crop he first must prepare the soil to receive the seed. Once the seed is planted the work is not over for the farmer and in actuality the work has just begun. There is a period before the seed rises into the plant that is visible to the eye that it must grow roots before it can reach up to the sky. For a plant is only as strong as its roots and without them being firmly fastened and reaching to the water source then the plant will be stunted in growth.

As the seeds begin to rise before the harvest the farmer has a job to protect the plants and to nourish his crop. When a farmer neglects the work and his responsibility in his job then this opens the doors for his crop to be overtaken by the weeds. The weeds can have a stronghold if the farmer waits to address and if the weeds are allowed to grow for too long not only will they drain the life in the crop before the harvest but the farmer might have to simply plow up the field to start all over again.

We can relate our lives to the farmer and the responsibilities that we have been given to uphold God’s Word in our lives, homes, churches and careers. Within this responsibility as the farmer it is wise to pay attention to the crop that we have been given and for the plant that we are within the overall Kingdom of God. For a crop that is well balanced is a crop that will produce future seeds…

Addressing The Seeds Of Sin…

July 26, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Matthew 18 the Lord teaches how to properly address a believer who sins against against you. He does not say to not speak up nor does He say to run around gossiping with everyone else but He says to go directly to that person to point out the offense. One of the hardest parts of this process is having the self control and not allowing our emotions to override God’s instruction. For the Lord say’s to love thy neighbor as thyself and that means speaking to others in tones that you want them speaking to you.

Another vital part of this message is that Jesus does not say to overlook the sin. Because He knows the consequences of a sin that is not addressed in how it can cause another stumble. Notice that Jesus said if your brother or another believer sins against you here are the instructions to follow. He did not speak of how we were to address a non believer but I have found that when a non believer does something in offense that I have simply stated to them in love that what they have done is simply not right by God. By this statement it points them to a higher accountability rather than wanting to take up a defense with myself.

This lesson is vital to comprehend and to follow. For if we leave the seed of sin planted without it being addressed then it will only manifest into something that will cause further division and separation.

No Looking Back…

July 25, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Once we make a decision to move forward there is no looking back unless it is in praise from where God has brought us from. Like a farmer who plants a crop he first must recognize the season before he sets the plow to the ground. It would be wise of the farmer to be ready and his tools to be sharp for the day in the season to begin. During the season the farmer doesn’t question the process for he simply follows the steps and then trust in God for the harvest that is sure to come.

There is nothing like planting seed in the Kingdom of God and actually witnessing something develop before our very eyes. Like a farmer sometimes there is a hit and a miss due to the drought but when he learns to tap the well to irrigate the crops is when the plants will strive while the others without water simply die. It is wise of the farmer to pay close attention to his crop to insure the nutrients that to be fed and to insure that no weeds begin to hinder the harvest.

Making Godly decisions is wise to understand whether in our homes, in the church or in our careers. For this message can apply to every individual as the farmer for once we put the plow to the ground in a commitment under God there is no looking back as we trust in the Lord to help us reach the other side. What good is a farmer if he was to quit just before the rain or simply because of the work that was before him?

Jesus said in Luke 9,”No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Look Beyond The Message…

July 22, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

There are two different types of blindness one being physical and the other being spiritual. Physical blindness is easy to recognize due to the outward signs that are shown but recognizing spiritual blindness requires maturity in the Word of God to recognize what is actually taking place.  There are two different confirmations that take place within spiritual sight  one being verbal and the other being in the signs.

Spiritual signs normally start in a small way but over time they can magnify in ways that one can  not miss. The object is to recognize the spiritual signs and learn to seek God for the direction in moving forward. For there is nothing that we can do in the physical to hold something together in the spiritual but when we learn to allow God to hold things together in the spiritual is when we will find the unity of love within the physical…

Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate…Mark 10:9

Tapping The Well Of God…

July 13, 2011 by admin 1 Comment

Many people fall into the traps of traditions and they basically stop seeking a deeper understanding in the love of God due to the extra effort that is required and the growing pains that come with maturing of new wine. This is why so many different denominations have been birthed within Christianity but unfortunately many have put caps on the well for they don’t want their flock to surpass the shepherd.

Jacob addressed this same message in Genesis 29. For there were sheep thirsty and waiting at the well but due to the traditions and the extra effort required of the shepherds they were not willing to go the extra mile until they were challenged by Jacob to simply do what was right. Traditions can be good for God instructs us to establish certain days in order to recall our past and to give us appreciation for the future but if we are not careful traditions can trap us unless we are willing to seek the other side… For the Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed  and what tree can grow to its full potential when placing caps at the well??? Here is a song that will uplift you this morning Our God Is Greater have an awesome day!!!!

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
