For Those With Ears To Hear…

November 16, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Did you know that when a butterfly is born there is a process of inner development before the break through? Another key part of this growth of a butterfly is the principles that we learn once it is set free from the cocoon on the tree. The butterfly does not just start flying immediately once it has wings because it is necessary to grow strength and learn how to move in this new world.

The growth of a butterfly is like the growth of a Christian. We start as a seed and then crawl on the ground before we learn how to fly on our own. Can you see the importance of reading the flight manual in the Owrd of God before we take off? The unfortunate side of this is how so many never figure out how to fly because they become stuck on the ground. Learning to walk is often not the issue but learning how to grow our wings in the spirit of God is the most awesome experience that we can ever encounter.

If you have not discovered your wings or you feel as if they have been clipped seek God and look within yourself to discover something that you already have. How can we ever learn to fly if we are not willing to jump and how do we honestly expect to grow stronger if we don’t exercise our wings? Can you see the importance of your wings being balanced before your flight? Sometimes we have have to step out from the old to learn something in the new…

Are You Ready To Go Home?

November 12, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever fallen asleep at the wheel? What did it feel like when you woke up? Unfortunately some that fall asleep at the wheel Wake Up in a place that they never intended to land? Are you ready for your eternal destination because we never know when we could be removed from the road that we travel. Have you examined the path that you are on and are you alert to the distractions along the road that try to detour your purpose in life.

Don’t fail to think that this life has no eternal purpose because the road we travel determines the seat in the end. We never know the hour nor the day that we will have to go but before the time comes we should ask ourselves this question, “Are we really prepared to go home?” This biblical message of never knowing the hour nor the day was taught in a movie with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in the movie Ghost view this brief Youtube clip to jog your memory before your time is called…Are you ready? How about the ones you love?   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcFNoHWXTRU

Need A Tune Up? Don’t Miss The Knock!!!

November 11, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were called in today to check your performance by the Creator what type of report would you honestly expect in return?  Are your words and actions full of life or have they become weak over time? Have you lost the spark in your life or your marriage gone dull? Are you going the extra mile or are only doing what it takes to get by? Or, have you become so complacent that you are excepting the ways of the world?

The Lord tells us in Revelation 3 “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing. But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

These are not the words that we want to hear but it is imperative that we face the Truth before the Truth faces us. Going to church is like going in for a check up and it never fails that we can find some area of our lives that could use some attention. It is wise to look at ourselves in the mirror of God to know that we will reach our eternal destination and that we know how to listen to the Holy Spirit to stay in tune.

Are you ready for a check up? Do you find yourself backfiring when something is not running as you like it? This life is no joke and the moment that we think that we don’t need God is like saying,”My car never needs a tune up.” We all need a tune up from time to time and it wise to repent of our sins to insure that there is no build up in our cylinders that could be holding us back. I would like to leave you this morning with this question,”If you were to hear the horn blow today and find yourself standing at the gates of Heaven what words would you honestly expect to hear?  There is no sliding in! We either walk in or we don’t! The only Way to walk in is on the back of Jesus who carries all the Way!

Godly Decisions

November 2, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

When we care more about our own economic well being than the glory of God and the salvation of lost souls it is a clear sign of idolatry, greed and worldliness. It is very easy in our human nature to carve out certain segments of God’s instruction when it goes against our fleshly desires but when we learn to recognize the areas that God wants us to address is when the Lord often blesses us in another way.

It is vital that we make Godly decisions without worrying about the loss of support that can come through the people. For when we allow our decisions to be based solely on the financial gain then we are simply allowing Satan to spiritually misguide our actions. At this point of maturity in making Godly decisions we learn to place our trust in Him to give us just what we need instead of trying to control things ourselves…amen

America’s Future With or Without GOD

October 16, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

In the Holy Bible God teaches us a valuable lesson in leadership in order to maintain the security within our homes and maintain the integrity within our nation. Due to America’s continuous drift away from the Word of God and allowing the world to gain control through men and women that achieved their positions by worldly measures this has caused our nation here in America to be in the shape that we are. If this drift continues without men and women that are willing to make a stand in seeking Godly council then we are headed for worse things to come.

The Lord taught us this valuable lesson of leadership in the book of Samuel with the people of Israel wanting a King because they wanted to lean on man instead of holding themselves accountable to God. The Lord warned us of what would come when they rejected Him and if you look at our society today in comparison to what the Lord said in 1 Samuel you will find the paralell to this message.

Why is it that we want to lean on man instead of God? Because God holds us accountable for every single word and action that we say or do and He pushes us to be the best we can be without falling lazy in the world. Leaning on man without holding ourselves accountable to God allows us to get by with things that are simply wrong because we tend to settle for things less than what God teaches us to maintain the integrity within our homes and our nation.

 Let’s look at the first lessons that God taught us through Samuel in leadership with the people of Israel and note the parallel to the Gentiles here in America when our founding fathers selected Presidency in our nation. Our founding fathers new the importance of keeping God first as Noah Webster, known as “The Father of American Scholarship and Education” and author of the Webster’s Dictionary once wrote;

“In selecting men for office, let principle be your guide. Regard not the particular sect(party) of the candidate – look to his character….It is alleged by men of loose principles or defective views of the subject that religion and morality are not necessary or important qualifications for political stations. But the Scriptures teach a different doctrine. They direct that rulers should be “who rule in the fear of God, able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness.”

In 1 Samuel God taught us the importance of our leadership being rooted in the Word of God through the life of Saul and the life of King David. Saul was a man that had the appearance but failed in the character qualities of being a successful leader because he simply leaned on man for his relationship with God. This brought selfish motives that hurt the people and caused a lack of peace in the land. Where David on the other hand had developed a personal relationship with God and was willing to stand for what was right and wait on God to bring things together. Yes, King David eventually fell to sin but don’t we all stumble when we drift away from God and allow ourselves to be driven by selfish motives?

Within these two men we can discover the importance of our leaders seeking Godly council for their direction and what hapens when we allow Satan to spiritually entice us to give in to the pressures or temptations of the world. Kinda like President Clinton (as King David) giving in to Monica Lewinsky or President Bush (as King Saul) chasing  Saddam Hussein out of anger. This same principle takes place in the leadership of our homes and how we all can fall when we do not root ourselves in the Word of God and learn to trust in Him instead of taking matters into our own hands.

The future integrity of our homes and The United States of America simply relies on whether we keep God first or whether we put Him second. It is time that America Wakes Up to the Truth and seeks Godly council to restore what He has given us in our homes and in our nation. For with God we have security, purpose, and order without the confusion of the world destroying our children’s future…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
