Don’t Miss The Lesson Of God

February 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Genesis 41 we learn a valuable lesson that applies to us today through the life of Joseph and the job that he received from Pharaoh. After years of being cast out by his own family and lied upon which placed him in prison Joseph was recognized for the favor of God that was upon his life. No matter where he went or what he had to go through the Lord always helped him to improve something for someone else because he was not thinking about himself and drowning in his own sorrows.

How easy is it for us to allow Satan to spiritually rob us of our joy when heartaches or troubles come our way? How many people do you know that seem to be drowning in their sorrow instead of seeking God to show them the way out? Have you ever been in a season within your life which you felt would never end? Here is the what the Lord has placed within my spirit this morning to share with you,”In every season there is a reason to deepen our roots with God and a purpose to help others in where we are. For if we only think about ourselves then we are only allowing Satan to spiritually rob us of who we are as a child of God.”

I leave you this morning with this question upon your heart,”Are you praising God in your circumstances or are you missing the whole point of your lesson?”

Walk The Walk Or Be Left Behind

February 1, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Genesis 37 the Word of God teaches us a valuable lesson in jealously and how a splinter can eventually cause a division within the family of God. Through the  life of Joseph and his brothers we can learn the importance of timing in when to share something has been given by God and a lesson on how favortism can lead to unproductive areas of life.

As Joseph was growing up, his father Jacob gave him more attention than his brothers due to the spirit of God that connected the two. This connection that was not understood within the family eventually developed into an evil plot to work against Joseph rather than recognizing how to properly serve within the body of Christ.

The Holy Spirit, which is our teacher, can open our eyes within Genesis 37 to see many different lessons that can help us today. Think about the wisdom of timing and how others might react before you share something that they might not understand. How about the lesson of favoritism that can take place in our homes, in our work and unfortunately even in the church? What is it the Lord teaches us about the dangers of showing partiality or giving favoritism in the Word of God?

Can you see how a child can be hurt if they miss the love of God within the family while witnessing it being shown to others? Can you see how a faithful employee can become bitter when they are neglected within their jobs? Have you ever wondered how many children that have a gift from God like Joseph have given up simply due to the way they were treated in this dark world?

I am here to tell you this morning that if you call yourself a true Christian then God expects His unconditional love within the family and with the enemy. From my heart to yours as one that was once cast out don’t allow Satan to spiritually cause you to lose your balance and forget the line of Christ that we are to follow. If you talk the talk then God expects us to walk the walk!!!

What Are You Teaching Within Your Home?

January 31, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Genesis 41 Pharoah shares two different dreams with Joseph. In both of these dreams there was something very unhealthy that devoured something that was healthy. After the poor cows ate the fat cows they still looked the same. Did you know that these dreams still teach us practical wisdom today? How, you may ask?

Later in the book of Exodus with Moses this lesson was taught in how to ration with manna and be responsible when we are hungry without devouring everything we have at once. See, if we don’t teach our children responsibility within our homes then how long do you think their provisions will last without teaching the self discipline that is taught in the Word of God?

Think about it! Why is America the most obese nation in the world? Simply due to the lack of self discipline that is being taught in the homes. Why do you think America is in the financial debt that we are in? Simply due to our own lack of self discipline and the lack of obedience to God. Why do you think people are losing it and going on shooting sprees killing innocent people? Simply due to their lack of understanding between good and evil? Why do you think so many teens are becoming pregnant? Simply due to the lack of teaching in the Word of God and parents placing their teaching responsibilities on others.

If there is anything gained from this message I pray that someone will recognize the importance of keeping God in the center of our homes and not placing our responsibilities as a parent on government entities that are teaching our children to be safe with sex in stead of simply not falling into temptation and having sex. If we don’t teach our children how to be happy with what they have and how to maintain what they have been given then how healthy can we honestly expect their future to be?

I leave you this morning with this question,”What are teaching within your home?”

Make A Difference With God

January 28, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Our life is a journey that is full of trials and tribulations no matter where we are. Too often we fall into the darkness of this world because we allow our environment or our circumstances to hold us back and rob us of the joy that has been given through the blood of Jesus Christ. As long as we have life then we have a job to do and all we have to do is the work that it takes to get the job done.

There is only one way to make a positive difference in life and this is to simply do the work that it takes to make something better. Just because the task may seem impossible or too difficult does not mean to ever give up! Because in our hands we are limited but when we learn to rely on God is when all things are possible!

I challenge you today and every other day to never lose hope and think that you can’t make a positive difference! If you will commit to God and be willing to do  the work that needs to be done then He will grow you stronger and help you to discover your purpose in life through the love of Jesus Christ. If you make something better for your children then you will be making something better for mine and if I make something better for my children then I should be making something better for yours.

Life is not only about us and don’t fall into this trap! All it takes is a little positive step forward to make a difference for our children’s future…amen

Learn To Fly When Grounded

January 27, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

There are times in life that we may stumble and other times that we may fall. But during our fall as a child of God we are caught by His hand that keeps us in a certain place for a while to serve a purpose in where we land.

During this place, where we temporarily land,  we might not be where we want to be and sometimes we even stay longer than expected. There is always a reason in being grounded in order to learn something that needs to be learned and to help us mature for what may be ahead in the future.

If you can’t understand why you are in the place that you are or why you are going through what you may be going through then seek God to discover the purpose in where you have temporarily landed. Where we land is only for a little while and it is our job to make the most out of where we are before we take off again….Amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
