Maturing With Christ…

May 30, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

We all start out as a seed that matures in the womb. Over time the seed produces a new life that will take root of its own. Not all trees mature in the same timing for each tree has its own season. Now the fruit of the tree teaches us a wise lesson, for the juice of the ripe apple is the same that was in the green fruit but with sun- light and sun- heat.

As we begin to mature with Christ we can find that our lives are like that of a tree that is to produce fruit. For our life is to grow in the light of wisdom and softened by the heat of love. The most important factor to understand in our maturity is that we each mature in our own time and it is our responsibility to love one another. Learning to mature with Christ day by day is an awesome experience for we can taste the juice of the fruit getting better and better each day…Amen

Chain Reactions Of God…

May 12, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

How often do you consider the impact of the words that are spoken and the actions that you take? Our words and actions can impact someone else’s life beyond our own understanding. Think about it! How many of you can recall something that someone did or something that someone said that had a positive impact on your life?

It is truly amazing how far one word of encouragement or something as simple as a smile can help carry us the extra mile. The Lord places people in our paths everyday that could use a positive word of encouragement but way too many times we miss the oppurtunity of God in the spirit due to focusing only on ourselves. This is where Satan likes to get us spiritually in our own world where we forget about others and forget the Lord’s instruction to love thy neighbors as ourself.

There is a chain reaction in our words and actions that can determine the track of life that someone may take. These chain reactions not only affect the lives of others but they affect us as well in ways that we often fail to see. In your walk of life today don’t miss the oppurtunities that God has before you to share your love whether in your smile, time, words or actions. For when we learn to think about others instead of ourselves is when God will often show us something that we failed to previously see. All we have to do is remember the Way that we are to believe…Amen

Empowering Leadership & Discipleship…

May 1, 2011 by admin 3 Comments

Empowering leadership is a critical stage of maturity and learning how to build within the instruction of God. This is one of the most neglected areas in leadership due to several reasons. Some leaders simply become consumed with their responsibilties and they fail to balance their time in recognizing the next one to fill their shoes. While some leaders simply allow their own pride to grow out of control so they never learn the art of true leadership which is called sacrifice in giving up something for someone else. Then there are those that have the title but know nothing about true leadership as a servant for the people due to their own personal desire of power and allowing their position to take presidence as an idol before God.

In Exodus 18 we are taught true leadership skills and we learn how to apply them to our lives by empowering future leaders of today. Moses not only gave certain delegates authority but he allowed them to make decisions in the best interest of the people. These leaders under Moses not only seeked God for their direction but they taught us the importance of Godly council and they assumed responsibility for their actions.

Where the disconnect has taken place in todays time is where many men have forgotten to how stand togther in the unity of God with accountability between one another. Instead of taking responsibility for our actions or standing with each other many individuals have forgotten about what it means to be loyal to God in properly serving each other. For where there is no honor within our word there is no stability within our foundation.

Learning to empower future leaders by giving them the responsibility to make decisions not only displays our maturity in Christ but it teaches the upcoming generation how to build upon the foundation which has already been established. Too many times we cause our foundation to crack simply because we forget the real reason that we are here and what holds us all together.

As a leader where ever we are it is vital that we open up our eyes to the next generation and learn to train our future leaders as we learn to walk beside them and be behind them as they learn to walk on their own. For if all we do is hold their hands and not allow them to learn for themselves under God then how can we honestly expect them to ever stand on their own when we have to move on?

We all have a responsibility under God as leaders and it starts first within ourselves and within our very home. We have a responsibility under God as parents to set good examples in faith with our children and teach them how to make Godly decisions without allowing the world to guide their actions. Unless we teach this in our very homes then how can we honestly expect them to empower the future leaders of tomorrow? Leadership is not only about making good decisions but is about training the next generation…

Allow God To Direct Your Steps…

April 29, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

One of the most important things to learn when making a step of faith is timing. There are 3 vital parts to learn about acting in faith . One having an understanding in the Word of God. Two having discernment between what is of God and what is of our emotions. Three is having the eyes to see and the ears to hear in when God says to move without fear.

Without an understanding in the Word of God we are dangerous due to not knowing how to trust in the Lord. Spiritually satan wants us to move before we are ready and sometimes when we are ready he will entice us to move in thinking that we can change the people. This is where so many leaders with vision lose their Way because we fail to recognize the maturity of others in being spiritually ready for the decisions that are made to carry us forward.

Making decisions that carry us forward are critical to apply our faith and to have maturity in the Word of God. For decisions that are made on our emotions or out of deception due to not knowing how God is the One who brings it all together will bring hardships upon our lives. This does not mean that we are to ever give up or lose hope but we are to learn during these times while honoring our word.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 tells us to test all things and to hold on to what is good but if we don’t have discernment between good and evil then how can we honestly ever know how to hold on? Be wise in your decisions and seek Godly council before you move. For a decision that is blessed by God is a decision that will carry us forward..Amen

Faith During The Storm…

April 28, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Storms come and go in our life and some storms have life changing affects. We might not always know why the storms come while some happen because we bring them upon ourselves. It is during the storms of our life that we can easily see our maturity in Christ based upon how we stand. Through every storm when we learn to lift up our hands to God is when He will show us the Way.

Storms can help us to strengthen our faith and they are to remind us of who is in control. Spiritually Satan wants us to focus on the storm where Jesus tells us to stay focused on what is on the other side. It is our place to walk in faith without fear or without arguing or complaining while simply trusting in God to bring us through.

Please join me in prayer that God will give strength to every family that has suffered a loss and that this country will open up their eyes to the Truth. It is when we don’t learn during the storms of our life that they tend to come back again and may God have mercy on this nation once again to show His Mighty Glory…Amen

This song by Casting Crowns titled Praise You In The Storm helped my wife and I through our tornadoes in life. May it help some of you as it has helped us…

                        Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he Leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
