Godly Decisions

November 2, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

When we care more about our own economic well being than the glory of God and the salvation of lost souls it is a clear sign of idolatry, greed and worldliness. It is very easy in our human nature to carve out certain segments of God’s instruction when it goes against our fleshly desires but when we learn to recognize the areas that God wants us to address is when the Lord often blesses us in another way.

It is vital that we make Godly decisions without worrying about the loss of support that can come through the people. For when we allow our decisions to be based solely on the financial gain then we are simply allowing Satan to spiritually misguide our actions. At this point of maturity in making Godly decisions we learn to place our trust in Him to give us just what we need instead of trying to control things ourselves…amen

God Holds Us Accountable

November 1, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

All people are individually responsible to God but believers have a special responsibility to warn unbelievers of the consequences of rejecting Him. If we fail to do this, God will hold us responsible for what happens to them. This should motivate us to begin sharing our faith with others in our actions and cause us to avoid being unconcerned in our attitude towards others.

One of the most important parts in calling out sin is that it is not our place to drive the nails. Once we have confronted an issue in love then it is our place to allow the Holy Spirit to do the work on the individual while we learn to stand true to God’s Word….amen

Discipline With Love And Justice

October 29, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

There are two principles that make up the very foundation of God’s character and they are love and justice. These principles are not easy to keep in balance but they are essential to maintain who we are as a child of God. Some people are loving to the point that they excuse wrong doing while other people are just the opposite in forgetting how to love .

Love without justice leaves people in their sins because it is not aiming them to higher standards. On the other hand justice without love drives people away from God because it has no heart. To specialize in one and forget the other causes a distortion in our witness while leaving a negative impact on someone else.

When you are called to discipline someone else like your children, students, employees or other church members do not be rigid. Vary your approach according to the goals you are seeking to accomplish and in each case ask yourself this question before your act, “Does this person need guidance or do they need to be nurtured?”

God is patient with us and we should be patient with others…

Are You Firmly Planted?

October 28, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Did you know that it is Satan’s objective in your life to keep you from being committed not only to God but in everything else? It should be our desire as a Christian to make a positive difference in this world but what good is this if we can’t even make a positive difference where we are? We often tend to chase the world instead of learning to grow where God has planted us because we tend to neglect what we already have.

It is in our human nature to conquer things that we don’t have but what good is conquering something if we don’t know how to maintain it? Don’t fall to the spiritual traps of Satan that cause us to lose our balance and forget where we stand. The world likes to tell us, “Do this and do that.” Where God says, “Take care of this and if you neglect what you have don’t be surprised when I allow it to be taken away.”

Staying in tune with God and learning to grow where He has planted us helps us to develop a sense of peace that only comes from God. If you are missing this peace seek God in prayer for the direction you need to bloom where you have been planted…

Use What God Has Given You…

October 27, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

Did you know that one of the worst things that we can do is hold back someone else when they are ready to move forward? Because when we hold back someone without giving them the opportunity to go forward then we are allowing Satan to spiritually control our actions and restricting the blessings that are sure to come.

It is very easy  to become blinded to our surroundings and miss what God has right before us when we allow Satan to cloud our vision. When we seek daily to stay in tune with God He helps us to be alert to our surroundings to maintain the integrity in what He has given to carry us forward. It is when we overlook what we already have that Satan often robs us of what God has given.

Are you alert to your surroundings? Are you seeking God to point out the areas that might need to be addressed? It does not take much to lose our balance when we take our eyes off of what we already have because this is what Satan spiritually desires in tearing down instead of building up. I challenge you today to learn how to build with God instead of looking for something that you already have.

Why should we ask God to bless us with something else when we are not properly using what  He has already given?

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
