Godly Decisions

November 2, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

When we care more about our own economic well being than the glory of God and the salvation of lost souls it is a clear sign of idolatry, greed and worldliness. It is very easy in our human nature to carve out certain segments of God’s instruction when it goes against our fleshly desires but when we learn to recognize the areas that God wants us to address is when the Lord often blesses us in another way.

It is vital that we make Godly decisions without worrying about the loss of support that can come through the people. For when we allow our decisions to be based solely on the financial gain then we are simply allowing Satan to spiritually misguide our actions. At this point of maturity in making Godly decisions we learn to place our trust in Him to give us just what we need instead of trying to control things ourselves…amen

Are You Firmly Planted?

October 28, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Did you know that it is Satan’s objective in your life to keep you from being committed not only to God but in everything else? It should be our desire as a Christian to make a positive difference in this world but what good is this if we can’t even make a positive difference where we are? We often tend to chase the world instead of learning to grow where God has planted us because we tend to neglect what we already have.

It is in our human nature to conquer things that we don’t have but what good is conquering something if we don’t know how to maintain it? Don’t fall to the spiritual traps of Satan that cause us to lose our balance and forget where we stand. The world likes to tell us, “Do this and do that.” Where God says, “Take care of this and if you neglect what you have don’t be surprised when I allow it to be taken away.”

Staying in tune with God and learning to grow where He has planted us helps us to develop a sense of peace that only comes from God. If you are missing this peace seek God in prayer for the direction you need to bloom where you have been planted…

Use What God Has Given You…

October 27, 2010 by admin 1 Comment

Did you know that one of the worst things that we can do is hold back someone else when they are ready to move forward? Because when we hold back someone without giving them the opportunity to go forward then we are allowing Satan to spiritually control our actions and restricting the blessings that are sure to come.

It is very easy  to become blinded to our surroundings and miss what God has right before us when we allow Satan to cloud our vision. When we seek daily to stay in tune with God He helps us to be alert to our surroundings to maintain the integrity in what He has given to carry us forward. It is when we overlook what we already have that Satan often robs us of what God has given.

Are you alert to your surroundings? Are you seeking God to point out the areas that might need to be addressed? It does not take much to lose our balance when we take our eyes off of what we already have because this is what Satan spiritually desires in tearing down instead of building up. I challenge you today to learn how to build with God instead of looking for something that you already have.

Why should we ask God to bless us with something else when we are not properly using what  He has already given?

The Best Return On Our Investment

October 23, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Where is the loyalty and self discipline today that is taught in the Word of God to maintain the order and security within our homes and our nation? Where are the morals of individuals today in our leadership and in our youth that are simply displaying something far from what is right by God and allowing their own spirits to run wild? Why are men and women in leadership positions not simply standing up in faith to proclaim what is simply right and wrong by God? Have we drifted so far that we can no longer stand for who we are as a child of God? Are we too worried about the loss of votes or the redicule that we may receive from the world in return? Since when did God say to give in and forget how to stand?

Soloman teaches us in Proverbs 25, “Whoever has no rule over his own spirit, is like a city broken down without walls.” And Jesus tells us in Matthew 10,”But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father.” Within the Old Testament and the New God instructs us to maintain our self discipline through His Word and to never fall weak to the world in order to maintain what God has given.

There is strength and security received by God when we learn to be obedient to His Word. Within this security we develop a deeper sense of love through Jesus Christ who teaches us how to serve one another instead of only serving ourselves. Think about it; “If our home is out of control and we are constantly struggling  to survive then how can we honestly develop a deeper relationship with the ones we love?” Does this not make us vulnerable to the ones that want to see us fall and to the ones that are simply seeking self gain?

The best treasure that we can ever receive here on this earth is the experience in true love that deepens our relationships with God through others. There is no better gift than to receive this treasure in the true love of Jesus because what else can out last the love that we receive? It is my sincere prayer that America learns how to stop and listen to recognize the signs and to see what we are missing. Who wants to build something without the glue that holds all together? Building is something that we should not do for the gain but for the love of serving others to protect what God has given…

History Is A Tool For The Future

October 20, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever considered the importance of studying history not to to just learn the stories but to learn where and why something went wrong? So many times we get caught up in knowing the stories in history that we forget the main reason in learning from our past to possibly prevent something in our future.

The Lord gives us the stories in the Old Testament to teach us how to be alert spiritually to evil and to recognize something in sin that can develop in us to divert the path that we are on. In Genesis 4 the Lord taught us this lesson before everything else with Cain and it was recorded for our own recognition to prevent something from consuming us to the point that it can destroy us.

History is a great tool when we know how to apply it to our lives today without becoming stuck in it to the point that we miss the lesson in it. The same evil spirits that have taken down men and women in history are the same spirits that attack us today. Don’t be fooled and think that history is only history because if you really pay attention to the times you will find that history tends to repeat itself until the people learn how to walk with Jesus to reach the other side…amen

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
