Maintain Your Balance…

August 2, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In Luke 10 verse 20 Jesus teaches a vital lesson on humility and insuring that we don’t fall into pride or self-righteousness. He warns the messengers who had just returned to not rejoice because of what took place but to simply rejoice because their names were registered in Heaven. It is very easy to lose our balance when we don’t stay focused on who is in control and keep our eyes upon our eternal destination.

This message not only speaks to leaders within a church but to everyone who begins to raise themselves up in their accomplishments. By learning to simply just do the work and leave the rest to God helps us to balance our lives and have peace in our walk. For our accomplishments are not our accomplishments they are all for the glory of God as we are just the instrument learning how to play. The question is, which horn do we blow? Do we blow our own or do we blow the trumpet of God?

Old And Blind…

August 1, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In John 8 Jesus forgave an adulterous woman that was being brought to judgment by others. Her sin brought others to such anger that they wanted to stone her and they brought her to Jesus trying to trap Him due to their own lack of understanding and recognition of the Truth within Him. The interesting part about this message is after Jesus told the crowd to let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone that they began to walk away but it was the order in which they walked where we learn another lesson.

The Word says that they began to slip away one by one beginning with the oldest. As I read this and prayed the Lord pointed out the order in which the accusers were in and then He recalled the lesson of new wine in an old wine skin. For Jesus was new wine and the old refused to receive the new and in this oreder in which they left this means that the old were the ones so adoment to stone and trap Jesus but failed to succeed after He spoke the Truth.

How often is that we look upon someone elses sin without looking upon our own? The Lord tells us that we receive mercy as we give mercy and He also tells us that we are accountable for causing others to stumble. As the old ones in this lesson that were misleading the young there is another lesson within that lesson….

Seek Your Purpose With God….

July 29, 2011 by admin 5 Comments

When we neglect to look upon our lives as farmer in a field then we often miss this purpose in life. For the world is full of many things that are here to distract us from the field that we have in order to affect the future harvest. The world likes to sell us additives to speed up the growth process but these additives have other affects that many miss due to focusing on the now instead of caring about the later.

The more we stick to the basics of fertile soil, light with daily water and learn how to have patience while trusting God to raise the crop allows a sweet taste of Heaven to be in every bite of the fruit during the harvest. Here is a question for you this morning,”What good is a farmer who looks upon the plants but holds back the work or the nutrients that are needed for the crop to reach its potential?” Blessed are those that learn to not hold back and give their all.

For a heart that is restricted is a heart that has blockage and a heart that has blockage is a heart that restricts the life that it can have…

Seeds Of Love…

July 28, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to look at your words and actions as seeds that are being planted what type of crop would you find? Would you find that your seeds are fertile and full of love or would you find that your seeds are dormant with only one life to give? What good is a seed if it can’t grow and produce a vibrant crop with future seeds to feed the next generation? A seed that is planted in love is one that is sprouted from the very heart of God.

I challenge you to examine your words and actions to recognize the seeds that are being planted and to insure the path that you are on. For if we don’t know the path then we must not know the garden and if we don’t know the garden then we must not know the Farmer…

A Nurtured & Balanced Life…

July 27, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

As a farmer who raises a crop he first must prepare the soil to receive the seed. Once the seed is planted the work is not over for the farmer and in actuality the work has just begun. There is a period before the seed rises into the plant that is visible to the eye that it must grow roots before it can reach up to the sky. For a plant is only as strong as its roots and without them being firmly fastened and reaching to the water source then the plant will be stunted in growth.

As the seeds begin to rise before the harvest the farmer has a job to protect the plants and to nourish his crop. When a farmer neglects the work and his responsibility in his job then this opens the doors for his crop to be overtaken by the weeds. The weeds can have a stronghold if the farmer waits to address and if the weeds are allowed to grow for too long not only will they drain the life in the crop before the harvest but the farmer might have to simply plow up the field to start all over again.

We can relate our lives to the farmer and the responsibilities that we have been given to uphold God’s Word in our lives, homes, churches and careers. Within this responsibility as the farmer it is wise to pay attention to the crop that we have been given and for the plant that we are within the overall Kingdom of God. For a crop that is well balanced is a crop that will produce future seeds…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
