Driven Passions Of God In Man

January 15, 2011 by admin 1 Comment

Throughout history we can recognize the drive of God in the persistence of men and women who set out to make a positive difference for the good of the people even when they faced all odds. It did not matter what they faced or whether they stood all alone because they knew the drive and direction that was given by God that strengthened their faith to make something better for the people.

Noah did not quit his task when the people mocked him for building a boat when they had never experienced rain. Abraham did not disobey God when the Lord gave him instructions nor did he give up on pleading with God to spare the righteous in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah before it was destroyed. Joseph did not give up just because others gave up on him or because of his circumstances in life. Moses never asked for his job nor did he even think that he was qualified. Ruth remained strong in character and true to God even when the society around her was collapsing. Samuel did not go back to sleep when Eli told him to just lay back down! David was the least of all his brothers but had the heart of a lion when someone spoke against our living God. Esther risked her life for the life of others when she went against the traditions that were followed by the people. Job did not give in to Satan when he suffered so greatly even when those around him made false accusations. Daniel never gave in to man for what he knew was right in his heart by God! Nehemiah did not give in just because the task was so large and the people that he had to face!

John The Baptist did not detour from God’s calling because the way people looked at him for how he appeared on the outside because he knew who was directing him on the inside! Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior did not detour from God’s message when He taught us how to love and forgive those which do not understand God’s eternal plan in this fallen land. Nor did Paul allow his previous life to detour him from the message that he was to deliver when he saw the light in Jesus Christ!

Martin Luther did not give in to the Pope nor to the Roman Catholics when he took a stand in 1517 strongly disputing the church and following God. Our American ancestors did not allow Britain to rob them of their freedom in religion nor did they allow their fears to stop them from moving across the seas in the 1700′s. Benjamin Franklin did not allow his age to stop him at 70 years old when he wanted to help his country win the American Revolution. James Armistead, a brave African American, did not subdue because of his color! Thomas Jefferson did not stand for someone to think that they were above another when he helped write the Declaration of Independence!  Benjamin Banneker, an African American, did not allow his fears to stop him from writing our leaders about ending slavery here in America. Martin Luther King, Jr. did not give in when he saw something that was not right! Nor did Billy Graham waver from his commitment in serving God and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Throughout history many men and women have persevered and overcome tough situations because they put their trust in God rather than allowing the world to hold them back. No matter who we are or where we have been it is vital to recognize how God is the one who picks us up and lays us down to serve His purpose and not our own! The Lord gives us our inner confidence and drive that will not sway in this world until our job is done and it is our place to do the best we can in everyday that we have been given. By living our lives as an example under Christ it teaches our children to never lose hope no matter what they have to face. Because with God “All Things Are Possible” even when the world seems to be falling apart!

It is in the persistence of men and women that never give up, when we can see God at work in making a positive difference for our children’s future! I challenge you today and every other day to strengthen yourself in the Lord and allow the love of Jesus to shine in your life like never before! It is when we know that Greater Is He that Is In Us Than He That Is In This World that we will find strength to overcome  our obstacles in life! Never lose Hope no matter what you face or for what you have been through because it is when we let go of ourselves that God will take over and carry us forward…Amen

Can You Hear The Music Of God?

January 14, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

How many times do we read something without taking the time to really hear what is being said because we are too stuck in the physical and miss the message in the spiritual. God wants us to stop and listen to our hearts without allowing the world to distort the message. The Lord speaks in many different ways yet man does not perceive it simply because they have never learned how to stop and recognize the spiritual messages before them. Here is a message the Lord placed in my spirit and I pray that you will take your eyes off of the deliver to receive something from the Giver…

Our character traits are like keys on a piano when you really think about it!  If we only learn one way then how can we expect to learn the art of living? There is a balance to stay in tune along with certain lines to not cross.  But the important factor to remember is if we miss a certain note or child, then that trait may struggle or possibly never be developed.  No one can play the perfect tune due to each individual has a difference. But what matters is the common ground in which we all stand and learn to love what God has given each of us in this land.

Learn the character traits to promote growth and watch the music of your child come to life.  Because there is nothing more gratifying than the love of a child looking up to it’s parents.  This is what the Lord enjoys when we focus on Him and learn how to live each and every day.  The Lord rejoices when He hears and sees the music of true love on our hearts.  So as you develop your character, don’t overlook certain keys because you never know when we could get knocked to our knees. It is crucial to know our children and realize that our lives guide their future.

There is only one Perfect Father and one Perfect Son who taught us the meaning of two being one.  Life does not stop with us and we have already been given everything we need so search the Word of God and learn to follow Jesus’ lead.  (To God All Glory, Amen)

Are You Listening For God?

January 11, 2011 by admin 2 Comments

Throughout history God has spoken in mighty ways through nature to get our attention and to display His Holy power from flooding the earth, speaking through the burning bush, sending plagues, parting the seas, and through a donkey to deliver a message to you and me. The Lord speaks to us in many ways through signs and wonders everyday but as we learn with Elijah that these signs and wonders are there to get our attention and for us to learn how to listen.

1 Kings 19 “Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.

Learning to listen for God requires us to hear His Words that are placed upon our hearts and God speaks to us everyday but as we learn in Job 33 that we often miss what is right at our feet because we have fallen asleep to the Word of God. Are you awake? Are you listening for God? Are you seeing the signs of the times? Are you sure that you are following God and not being misled spiritually by Satan?

It is very wise to slow down at times to insure the steps that we are taking without allowing Satan deceive us in our emotions. For all Satan wants is for us to jump before we are ready. Are you ready? Can you hear that still small voice? If you want to hear God then simply be still and listen….

No Favortism With God

January 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality.  For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes,  and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, “You sit here in a good place,” and say to the poor man, “You stand there,” or, “Sit here at my footstool,”  have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?  But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts?  Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;  but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.  For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.  For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.  So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.  For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Are You Ready For Judgement?

January 3, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;  for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.  But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does…James 1:22-25

This life is no joke and if we think that we will not be held responsible for our disobedience in Gods Word then we are only fooling our self. God’s instruction for our lives gives us strength and protection while recognizing that we are here for a higher purpose. Have you discovered your higher purpose or are you too caught up in the world to see the Heavens?

I challenge you today in my hearts plea to adhere to the Word of God and to insure that your are not carrying something that could you back from the Kingdom of God. Judgement is coming and the question is,”Are You Ready?” If not then seek godly council to get your life in order…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
