God’s Word Teaches Discipline & Self Control

December 10, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

If you saw a child abandoned on a frozen pond and being held captive in fear how far would you be willing to go to help rescue that child from their captivity? Would you step out in faith if you saw a bully out on the ice pushing that weak child out further from safety and causing them to cry out to God from their heart to help set them free? How would you react if you saw someone misleading another child out on the frozen pond without teaching them how to walk on their own? Would you be willing to risk your own life for the sake of another? Or, would you be willing to call out to those that were not teaching the children how to stop and listen before something cracked and someone possibly fell through?

Learning to walk with God requires each one of us to take that step of faith while trusting in God to carry us forward. It is vital that we continue to study the Word of God to develop our own senses as we are taught in Hebrews 5:14,”But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

See recognizing the spiritual enemy or lets say the evil one is crucial in maturing with Christ and learning how to be in this world but not of this world. The object is for us to recognize the spiritual cracks of the enemy that take place when the Truth is applied to avoid the spiritual struggle between good and evil. For when we learn to hear the cracks of Satan then it is our place to wait on God’s direction before we go any further.

Learning how to react under the pressure of Satan is crucial in our walk as a Christian. We all get wound up from time to time when we allow something to build without communicating in love and knowing how to simply trust in God. If we are not careful Satan can deceive us when we do not know how to properly disperse our weight out on the frozen pond and this is why it is vital that we learn to develop that one on one relationship with the Lord for us to make it to the other side…Amen

Ice Skating With God

December 9, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever stood at the edge of a pond that was frozen and left one foot on solid ground while placing your other foot on the ice to test its strength? Once you felt the strength of the ice did you make a step of faith in lifting your other foot to stand on the frozen pond? Can you recall the uncertainties of stepping on the ice and the relief that was gained once you realized the ice was strong enough to hold you up?

Did you know that we are tested everyday to too see how we will react and to help us build strength to reach the other side? Our lives can be like a frozen body of water without the love of Jesus to help keep us warm. Everyday we encounter different spiritual test that are there to help us walk further in faith while knowing that the hand of God is always there to help carry us forward.

Often we wonder why we encounter the things that we do but these test that we face are there to help us grow in God’s love with a deeper understanding of how to serve and how to trust. Don’t be robbed spiritually by Satan and only stand on the edge of the frozen pond! Once you take that step of faith there is nothing like playing on the ice in the hands of God while feeling the presence of His Holy Angels all around…Amen

How Deep Is Your Love?

December 8, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever stepped on a frozen body of water and played on it as a child? Do you recall the sounds of the ice cracking as you applied more weight to the ice? Depending on the depth of the ice the sounds of the ice cracking can vary due to the amount of pressure that is applied. The object is when you are stepping on the ice to recognize the depth of the frozen water to insure just how far you can go. Because the further we travel on the ice in this world it can get thinner unless it is solid to the core.

This same principle is taught in the Word of God to help us fill our hearts with God’s love and to help us develop a solid foundation. For when we allow the love of Jesus to fill our hearts and soul, His love then spreads from the inside and should be reflecting on the outside. For instance the way we react shows the depth of our love and the trust that we place in the Lord. This is why some people crack when they hear the Truth and snap back out of spite instead of out of love and understanding.

So the next time you face something that is uncomfortable in your spirit learn when to apply pressure and when not to insure that you don’t fall into something that could take you under. This battle is not of flesh and blood it is between the spirits that guide us in our words and actions. Dealing with this world is like walking on ice and it is our place to teach in love with humility and strength in God’s Word…Amen

Real Love Or Superficial

December 7, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to look within the way you express your love how deep would your love go? The Word of God instructs us to clothe ourselves in love and it will bond us together in harmony with Christ giving us peace in our hearts. Think about the word clothe in this cold world that it is. Have you ever felt the difference in a fresh towel right of the dryer as you stepped out of the shower? Could you feel the warmth to your bones?

The real love of God does not only warm us on the outside but it penetrates to the inside. As a true Christian our love should be felt by others and reflected in our words and actions with respect for the other individual. If someone says that they have love but show no respect in return then their love is either very shallow or sadly superficial.

Jesus taught us how to love and Gods Word instructs us to love thy neighbor as thyself. So with this said, I challenge you to think about the way that you express your love with others to insure that your words and actions can be felt from the warmth of God in your heart. We all tend to get in a rush in this busy world but it is wise to maintain your balance in the love of Jesus to insure that you don’t miss the step…Amen

Be An Victor Not A Victom

December 6, 2010 by admin Leave a Comment

God’s Word teaches us in Ephesians 4,”To always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of our love. In making allowance for one another this means that we are to pick up the slack when something gets missed in love without allowing bitterness to build in our spirit.

By learning to pick up the slack when others fall behind this teaches others to do the same. Don’t allow Satan to spiritually rob you and cause you to just sit around and complain. Too many times we allow Satan to spiritually keep us in the wilderness because we fail to recognize how to walk out of the forest. If there is something or someone that is causing you to travel in circles learn to do what it takes to be set free.

We all have different strengths as well as weaknesses and it is our place in the love of God to learn how to work together in the spirit of the Lord without allowing Satan to spiritually hold us back…Amen

For where I am weak you are strong and when we can go no more is when God steps in…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
