If you saw a child abandoned on a frozen pond and being held captive in fear how far would you be willing to go to help rescue that child from their captivity? Would you step out in faith if you saw a bully out on the ice pushing that weak child out further from safety and causing them to cry out to God from their heart to help set them free? How would you react if you saw someone misleading another child out on the frozen pond without teaching them how to walk on their own? Would you be willing to risk your own life for the sake of another? Or, would you be willing to call out to those that were not teaching the children how to stop and listen before something cracked and someone possibly fell through?
Learning to walk with God requires each one of us to take that step of faith while trusting in God to carry us forward. It is vital that we continue to study the Word of God to develop our own senses as we are taught in Hebrews 5:14,”But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
See recognizing the spiritual enemy or lets say the evil one is crucial in maturing with Christ and learning how to be in this world but not of this world. The object is for us to recognize the spiritual cracks of the enemy that take place when the Truth is applied to avoid the spiritual struggle between good and evil. For when we learn to hear the cracks of Satan then it is our place to wait on God’s direction before we go any further.
Learning how to react under the pressure of Satan is crucial in our walk as a Christian. We all get wound up from time to time when we allow something to build without communicating in love and knowing how to simply trust in God. If we are not careful Satan can deceive us when we do not know how to properly disperse our weight out on the frozen pond and this is why it is vital that we learn to develop that one on one relationship with the Lord for us to make it to the other side…Amen
