There is an interesting lesson in Numbers 22 with Balaam and the donkey that is still relevant today when we seek the spiritual meaning in the message of God. Balaam was a man that had a relationship with God and he was approached by Balaks men in order to entice Balaam to come against what God was taking forward. When Balaam was approached by these men he then seeked God for his direction but the Lord plainly told Balaam not to go.
Balaks men then left but only to return to Balaam with more enticement in order to move him from the decision which was already made. The beautiful part about this lesson is how God teaches us that when we come against something of God we better prepare for the road ahead. The road will narrow and sometimes it can come up to a dead end. The object in life is to recognize the road we travel to insure that we reach our eternal destination.
It is my prayer this morning that you are not swayed by the world and that each of you know the path in which you travel. For if your path is drying up and the walls seem to be coming in may I encourage you to seek God for your direction to insure that you have not been misled in order for the river of God to carry you forward. It is when come against something of God that curses will follow as we can witness the decrease of the river because we are traveling the wrong way.
Here is an awesome worship song this morning by Rick Pino called the Narrow Road http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUzXKQb1VG4 I pray that you take the time to stop and listen…
