What Is Your Legacy?

January 21, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

No matter our position in life we are to be an example to others through the love of Jesus Christ. Believe it or not, people look at us everyday how we walk,  how we talk, how we serve, and how we act. Our children learn from our lives by the way we carry ourselves but far too often we neglect how our lives have an impact on others by only thinking about ourselves.

Our children are often a reflection of who we are and if we truly want something better for them then we need to lead by example in everything we do. This applies to every aspect of life from our careers, to our homes, and especially in the church. It is not right by God to act one way in front of some but then act totally different in front of others. Life is about being REAL in everything we do and if we can’t be who we are under God then what type of example is this teaching to those that may be looking up to us?

For what good is life if we can’t pass on what has been shared and given to us? Life is not about selfish survival it is about maturing in the Word of God to help others along the Way. I challenge you today to pay more attention to the person you are under God and recognize the fact that the best legacy we can ever leave behind is how we have loved others as Jesus Christ loved us…amen

Take Responsibility Under God

January 20, 2011 by admin 1 Comment

God gives each of us choices everyday to make and we all have made wrong decisions in life. Some of our wrong decisions may have even caused us pain but they can help us learn to make better decisions in the future. Living with the consequences of our choices does not mean that we walk around unhappy or complaining but they teach us to think and choose more carefully as we go further in life. Not only will they help us to grow but when we accept our responsibilities for our actions then we are to lead by example in teaching others to be wise in their steps to insure something of God and not of Satan.

Not all opportunities are of God! Many are of Satan to distract us from our commitments and to detour us from the path we are on. God wants us to honor our commitments and stay focused in life where Satan wants us to look at everything else instead of what we already have. It is Satan’s objective to make something look good at first but what we must recall is what Jesus taught us in the wilderness when tempted by Satan. Our Lord and Saviour taught us to look beyond our immediate desires to insure the future outcome, and if the future outcome can separate us from what we have then it is best to stay where we are .

For what may look good now might not be good for later, and when we base our decisions thinking of only ourselves then we need to reevaluate the situation. This life is of learning to honor our commitments and putting our desires behind others to help teach our children a better way of life through the love of Jesus Christ.

I challenge you to grab hold in your commitments and do what it takes in love to see them through. Don’t allow Satan to distract you from what you have been given and chase the wind of this worldly sin. For there is honor when we accept our decisions and learn to walk on in life through the love of Jesus Christ…amen

Never Under Estimate God

January 19, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

God often works in unexpected ways. When He chooses people to fulfill His plans He always goes deeper than appearance, tradition, or position. He sometimes even surprises us by choosing the less obvious person, at least by human reasoning.

Always know that God can use us to carry out His plans even if we don’t think we have all the qualifications. All we have to do is follow and obey while listening to the Word of God that is placed on our heart to do our part. Circumstances are never so bad that they are beyond God’s help and we never know what good He may bring out of seemingly hopeless situatons!

Living Art Requires Disciplined Balance

January 18, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Have you ever really considered the living art in self  discipline which is a required skill in  balancing our lives mentally, physically, and most of all spiritually?  How often do you take the time to keep these three principles in tune? This should be a task in every day that we are given and if we are neglecting this fact then our lives can easily get out of control.

Think about yourself walking a tight rope that is high in the air with very little room in your step to spare. What do you see happening when you take your eyes off of the line that we are to follow? Can you see the importance of knowing where you stand? We are taught how to stand in the Holy Bible from the Old Testament to the New.  For in the beginning we learn how stay mentally focused on God as we physically mature in life. Then as time goes on in our physical maturity from one generation to the next, then we are set spiritually free once we learn how to properly believe.

In everyday that we are given it is vital to know the foundation from which we stand and pay attention to our steps in life. So, I challenge you today and every other day to strive in your steps to not only keep your life in balance but to be a good example in teaching the children of the future…amen

Have You Lost Your Balance?

January 17, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If you were to think of the word Balance and compare its definition to your life what would you see in your reflection? Would you see your life out of order, your work in chaos, a lukewarm marriage, your children out of control, or just no time for yourself in allowing God to keep you in tune?

In order to keep our lives in check we must recognize the purpose of self discipline and the purpose of order in all directions to maintain our balance in life. Maintaining our balance is not something that comes easy and we must accept the fact that it requires work to keep our lives in tune. It is very easy in today’s society to feel like we do not have time when we really do and this is exactly what Satan wants because then he knows how easily we can be distracted in life.

For life is not about how fast we can run or how fast we may achieve a goal. It is about learning to maintain what we have been given and teaching our children how to reach further in life through the love of Jesus Christ!!!

With this being said I leave you this morning with this question placed upon your heart,”What can you do today that will improve something for someone else tomorrow?”

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
