Maturing With Christ…

May 30, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

We all start out as a seed that matures in the womb. Over time the seed produces a new life that will take root of its own. Not all trees mature in the same timing for each tree has its own season. Now the fruit of the tree teaches us a wise lesson, for the juice of the ripe apple is the same that was in the green fruit but with sun- light and sun- heat.

As we begin to mature with Christ we can find that our lives are like that of a tree that is to produce fruit. For our life is to grow in the light of wisdom and softened by the heat of love. The most important factor to understand in our maturity is that we each mature in our own time and it is our responsibility to love one another. Learning to mature with Christ day by day is an awesome experience for we can taste the juice of the fruit getting better and better each day…Amen

Empowering Leadership & Discipleship…

May 1, 2011 by admin 3 Comments

Empowering leadership is a critical stage of maturity and learning how to build within the instruction of God. This is one of the most neglected areas in leadership due to several reasons. Some leaders simply become consumed with their responsibilties and they fail to balance their time in recognizing the next one to fill their shoes. While some leaders simply allow their own pride to grow out of control so they never learn the art of true leadership which is called sacrifice in giving up something for someone else. Then there are those that have the title but know nothing about true leadership as a servant for the people due to their own personal desire of power and allowing their position to take presidence as an idol before God.

In Exodus 18 we are taught true leadership skills and we learn how to apply them to our lives by empowering future leaders of today. Moses not only gave certain delegates authority but he allowed them to make decisions in the best interest of the people. These leaders under Moses not only seeked God for their direction but they taught us the importance of Godly council and they assumed responsibility for their actions.

Where the disconnect has taken place in todays time is where many men have forgotten to how stand togther in the unity of God with accountability between one another. Instead of taking responsibility for our actions or standing with each other many individuals have forgotten about what it means to be loyal to God in properly serving each other. For where there is no honor within our word there is no stability within our foundation.

Learning to empower future leaders by giving them the responsibility to make decisions not only displays our maturity in Christ but it teaches the upcoming generation how to build upon the foundation which has already been established. Too many times we cause our foundation to crack simply because we forget the real reason that we are here and what holds us all together.

As a leader where ever we are it is vital that we open up our eyes to the next generation and learn to train our future leaders as we learn to walk beside them and be behind them as they learn to walk on their own. For if all we do is hold their hands and not allow them to learn for themselves under God then how can we honestly expect them to ever stand on their own when we have to move on?

We all have a responsibility under God as leaders and it starts first within ourselves and within our very home. We have a responsibility under God as parents to set good examples in faith with our children and teach them how to make Godly decisions without allowing the world to guide their actions. Unless we teach this in our very homes then how can we honestly expect them to empower the future leaders of tomorrow? Leadership is not only about making good decisions but is about training the next generation…

Discipline Is To Bring Us Back To God…

April 22, 2011 by admin 6 Comments

God will often use people to offer a verbal rebuke through prophecy or admonishment before disciplining us. Instead of letting our pride get offended, we should be willing to accept and give such rebukes within the body of Christ so that we can avoid sterner discipline of the rod. The Lord uses discipline as a last resort. If all God needed to justify mankind to himself was a bigger cattle-prod, then Christ died for nothing!

No, God’s plan for the earth is love first, discipline last. To get us to listen and repent, he will use deep conviction, the rebuke of friends, coincident sermons, the quickening of Scripture, and every other means before disciplining us. But if we resist God’s Spirit of light and mercy, we are promised the rod of correction. When God disciplines, the punishment fits the crime. Time and again, we realize that we cannot get away with unrepentant sin. God is sculpting us into holy vessels, and the process can be painful.

Hebrews 12: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.” Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.

Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

May God bless you this morning and renew your strength with His purpose and not your own. For there great joy when we learn from our past to improve something in the future. Here is an awesome song and 9/11 Tribute sung by Casting Crowns that I pray touches you as it will always touch me And Now My Life Song Sings (9/11 Tribute)

When To Stand…

April 4, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In 1 Samuel 20 we learn a valuable lesson on sacrifice between Jonathan and David. Jonathan’s own dad (Saul) had allowed jealousy to consume him to the point he wanted to kill his son’s friend David. The interesting part within this lesson is when Jonathan spoke to his father about David and how the anger inside Jonathan’s father then transfered towards his own son. Jonathan then developed righteous anger towards his fathers wrong actions not for what he had done to him but for what he was doing to his friend David.

The lesson is this,”Do you become angered towards the injustice towards yourself or for the wrongs that are being done to others?” Our life should not matter because God has given us the Way to handle this but when wrongs are being done to others then we have a responsibility under God to stand for one another. Isn’t this the same lesson that Jesus taught? Isn’t this the same lesson He showed on the cross?

Think about it! In your love of Christ we should be able to handle someone doing us wrong through the instruction of God as Jonathan displayed with his own father but this does not mean that we are to allow someone being spiritually misguided by Satan to hurt the ones we love. If someone was to speak evil words about someone in your family would this not get you up out of your seat? What is this difference between someone in our immediate family at home and another brother or sister in Christ? For if we are true believers this would in all be the same…amen
