A Word Of Encouragement…

June 23, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Here is word that might make some people crindge, “Exercise.” Have you ever thought about the meaning of this verb? When you train yourself as an athlete you learn to push yourself towards certain goals and you learn to strive to improve with every day that you are given. This same principle should not only be applied to the phsical realm but to the mental and spiritual as well.

What happens when you quit moving? Have you ever gotten stiff? What happens when you quit looking for something new? Do you think that you might get stuck in the old? This message is here to help encourage you this morning by taking a step in the direction that God has been nudging and to encourage you to reach further than before. For the more we seek the more we shall find and the object is to seek the Kingdom of God first in all that we do and then He will motivate us in the direction that we should go…

Are You Drinking From The Well?

June 22, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

In John 4 Jesus spoke with a woman at the well. This woman was a sinner and not looked favorably upon from the Jews due to her Samaritan race. This made no difference to Jesus in her background or her race for He saw a child in her that simply was in need of some relief and that was loved. As Jesus spoke with her He referred himself to living water and told her that she would never be thirsty again.

Have you ever thought deeper on this message of living water? For in the living water of Jesus Christ there is a constant renewing of our minds and deepening of our souls. Like the old wine and the new fermenting wine there should be a constant cycle of transformation taking place within us that brings new life daily. Unfortunately many never get this message of daily transformation in the living water of Jesus Christ because they get to certain point and simply quit seeking and being open to receive something more of God.

May I challenge you this morning to go to the well in the Word of God and seek daily for something more in the love of Jesus Christ. For the more we seek the more that we shall find when searching in the will of our Heavenly Father….

God Driven Passions…

June 21, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Throughout history we can recognize the drive of God in the persistence of men and women who set out to make a positive difference for the good of the people even when they faced all odds. It did not matter what they faced or whether they stood all alone because they knew the drive and direction that was given by God that strengthened their faith to make something better for the people.

Noah did not quit his task when the people mocked him for building a boat when they had never experienced rain. Abraham did not disobey God when the Lord gave him instructions nor did he give up on pleading with God to spare the righteous in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah before it was destroyed. Joseph did not give up just because others gave up on him or because of his circumstances in life. Moses never asked for his job nor did he even think that he was qualified. Ruth remained strong in character and true to God even when the society around her was collapsing. Samuel did not go back to sleep when Eli told him to just lay back down! David was the least of all his brothers but had the heart of a lion when someone spoke against our living God. Esther risked her life for the life of others when she went against the traditions that were followed by the people. Job did not give in to Satan when he suffered so greatly even when those around him made false accusations. Daniel never gave in to man for what he knew was right in his heart by God! Nehemiah did not give in just because the task was so large and the people that he had to face!

John The Baptist did not detour from God’s calling because the way people looked at him for how he appeared on the outside because he knew who was directing him on the inside! Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior did not detour from God’s message when He taught us how to love and forgive those which do not understand God’s eternal plan in this fallen land. Nor did Paul allow his previous life to detour him from the message that he was to deliver when he saw the light in Jesus Christ!

Martin Luther did not give in to the Pope nor to the Roman Catholics when he took a stand in 1517 strongly disputing the church and following God. Our American ancestors did not allow Britain to rob them of their freedom in religion nor did they allow their fears to stop them from moving across the seas in the 1700′s. Benjamin Franklin did not allow his age to stop him at 70 years old when he wanted to help his country win the American Revolution. James Armistead, a brave African American, did not subdue because of his color! Thomas Jefferson did not stand for someone to think that they were above another when he helped write the Declaration of Independence! Benjamin Banneker, an African American, did not allow his fears to stop him from writing our leaders about ending slavery here in America. Martin Luther King, Jr. did not give in when he saw something that was not right! Nor did Billy Graham waver from his commitment in serving God and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Throughout history many men and women have persevered and overcome tough situations because they put their trust in God rather than allowing the world to hold them back. No matter who we are or where we have been it is vital to recognize how God is the one who picks us up and lays us down to serve His purpose and not our own! The Lord gives us our inner confidence and drive that will not sway in this world until our job is done and it is our place to do the best we can in everyday that we have been given. By living our lives as an example under Christ it teaches our children to never lose hope no matter what they have to face. Because with God “All Things Are Possible” even when the world seems to be falling apart!

It is in the persistence of men and women that never give up, when we can see God at work in making a positive difference for our children’s future! I challenge you today and every other day to strengthen yourself in the Lord and allow the love of Jesus to shine in your life like never before! It is when we know that Greater Is He that Is In Us Than He That Is In This World that we will find strength to overcome our obstacles in life! Never lose Hope no matter what you face or for what you have been through because it is when we let go of ourselves that God will take over and carry us forward…Amen

New Wine…

June 21, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

Jesus teaches us that we can not put new wine in an old wineskin due to the expansion of the new wine in the fermentation process that will cause the old wineskin to explode. The fermentation process of the new wine or lets say youth climbs at accelerated rates where the old wine has passed through this process and now matures at gradual rates deepening the taste within the soul.

Here is where a major problem occurs often within the church body due to its own lack of understanding of the natural progression of God. The body of Christ is alive and strong with the new growing within the old and when the old does not learn to shift within season this can cause one of two things oppression or an explosion which bring many other issues within the body. This same principle applies within our homes, our careers and simply in the process of life. For when we try to restrict the natural progression of God within the lives of others then we are holding back what God is taking forward.

May I challenge you today to never become stuck where you are and always be open to learn from the new to deepen the depth of the old…

Old Wine…

June 20, 2011 by admin Leave a Comment

If we were to compare ourselves to aged wine we would discover many different stages of maturity. In the natural progression of God we learn that the old must come to the new for the new is not to go back to the old. For if the new went back to the old this would be like trying to hold back the natural progression of God within the body of Christ.

New wine brings life in ways that can carry us forward and the object is to recognize the maturity of the wine as it develops its own taste in the natural fermentation of God. As a winery rotates stock we are to learn the importance of shifting our barrels within the racks to eliminate any cob webs or dust to colllect on our barrels. There is a message in this for those with the ears to hear and the eyes to see that can deepen an understanding within the overall function of the body. May God give you the senses to figure this out so your wine will mature in the natural progression of God…

Spiritual Revelations

Don’t be like Eli in 1st Samuel and miss something that has been given by God. If you recall with Eli he did not listen because the Word of God was rare in those days and he did not recognize what was taking place until he saw the persistence of Samuel…
